Maheeru - Would you please help my mother?

My mother is having a crisis of labyrinthitis. She feels dizzy and nauseous. Which medicine is indicated to treat labyrinthitis? Will it be chininum sulphuricum? Ferrum phosphoricum? Gelsemium? She has this crises nearly once every 2 months. Is it considered chronic or acute?

The last medicine she took was sulphur30c. And it was really good for her. She also has very dry and falling out hair. Then she took nux vomica but I don’t think it suits her. Her criticism and tension got worse. Rhus tox doesn’t suit her either.

Years ago, she took one dose of phosphorus 30ch for her hair and it was really, really good.
Can she take it again? I don’t know too much of homeopathy but sometimes I see natrum muriaticum in her, sometimes phosphorus, maybe silicea? She can be really bitter and really lively.

Her high is 1.65m
Weight: 60kg.
She is 61 years old.

She has glaucoma.
She is very critic.
She is very frank, direct, doesn’t engage much to please people, she prefer to be sincere.
She is not sweet, patient or mellow. She has strong opinions, but she knows she is sometimes wrong and she is very easy to talk to if you have a complain. She is the kind of person who will listen carefully and will consider her mistakes, will try to change, but she will thing little of her, saying that she is not a great person and that’s why she has difficulties to be a better person. She is humble. And she knows she can learn from other people.

She needs attention.
Doesn’t like cold weather. Doesn’t go out if it’s raining. Doesn’t like wind.
She gives up things easily. She is not persistent and she is used to not even try to do things because she will think she’s not capable. Or because it’s too hard. I think people taught her to think like that, and she believed.

But she is a hard worker, with a very high sense of responsibility.
She like things clean and organized. She can’t sleep if there is one dirty glass on the sink.
Although she is very clean, she isn’t too vain. She doesn’t care too much for her appearance. I mean, she is a housewife, so when she goes out for a party for example, she will care for her appearance, otherwise she will wear her every day kind of clothes.
She is very, very impatient. She loves to sleep.

Her diet is very healthy: lots of vegetables, fruits, few meat (mostly chicken). Likes coffee.
Likes alcohol, but she can’t drink more than a glass of it, cause her tolerance is really low.

Food that doesn’t suits her: milk, soft eggs, fatty foods. She always says her liver was never very good. Raw onions, raw garlic.

I guess, it’s important to say that she was abandoned when she was a child. Her mother died when she was 3 and then her father abandoned her with a strange woman. Went to see her until she was 10, and then disappeared. She lived long ears before she could speak about it. I, myself, only heard this story 9 years ago. So, she is really attached to her family. She shows it.
She has difficulties to relax in life. She is always working.

She has 2 types of temper: one is like a old woman, with not much hope, accepting life how it is, with no desire to change anything, no desire to go after happiness. And sometimes she is really lively! Really funny, loving. She can make everybody laugh or make everybody really tense. While growing up next to her, I would feel it really clearly: she is happy for 3 months (3 months is just an example of how long I thing it last, I never time it), and then very difficult to be around for 3 other months, very critic, and it keeps changing. Always for long periods like 3 months.

She has a lot of problems in her column (some because of all the hard work) but also because it is a sickness running into her family. We found some people of her family, and we discovered eyes, ears and column are sickness that a lot of people of her side of her family has. Her father died from a stroke.
In the past she had esophagitis, but not anymore.

She has to keep still with open eyes. If she close her eyes the dizziness gets realy worse. If she moves her head, dizziness gets worse and the nauseous gets worse too. She has to sit in a chair and find a position to stay. Lay down gets worse. Last time it took 6 hours to get better.

Please read my last post. Forgot to tell you that she used to say 'one more wasted day in my life' but now that she got used to it, she accepts it better.

Please give her Pulsatilla 30c, one pill, two times a day for 4 days. Report changes after a week.

Thank you for your kind complements! I sometimes think about going to India, only to meet you (but it's only my imagination. I can't afford a trip like that, rsrsrs...maybe in another life rsrsrs....). I keep saying 'that's the kind of people I want connections with'!

I still haven't given pulsatilla to my mum because it doesn't have too much time since she took sulphur 200ch (1 drop). She took it last wednesday, May 29th. And she felt calmer. She was really critic.

So I have 2 questions for you:

1- how long before she take pulsatilla?

2- she will get through a plastical surgery on her face. On June 17th, what should she take in order to not get too much bruised, swollen or purple?

I've read something about taking calendula 200ch, a couple of times after (or would it be better if she take it before?).
And I also heard about taking arnica 200ch, or 30ch, or 1M. But I also don't know how many times and if it's before or after the surgery.

So, do you thing she can take pulsatilla before the surgery? Or it's better to wait until she recovers from the surgery?

Thanks a lot Maheeru!
God Bless you!
Joana.

1) In two weeks from the dose of sulphur. But if sulphur is helping overall including Labyrinthitis, then sticking with sulphur could be a wise option for now.

2) Would not recommend plastic surgery unless if it's necessary. You know what happened to MJ? (You might have heard a proverb 'don't fix it if it ain't broke') I had a couple of patients taking help from me for scar tissue issues and graft versus host conditions though one of them had a genuine reason like cleft lips.

Carcinocin 30c a dose before(the day before) going to plastic surgery will help lessen scarring.

After the surgery, arnica comes first, it needs to be taken in 200c for 4 to 5 days. Externally calendula spray can be applied on the surgical site for a couple of weeks.

Calendula may be intermittently used in 30c or 200c.

I think if she's going to do the surgery any way, then she can wait before going for puls.

Welcome :)

'that's the kind of people I want connections with'!

Do not be so quick in judgement. Often people are flawed in one or the other way, so seeing good in everyone would be pragmatic.

Hi Maheeru,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I appreciate that :)
But she wants to... so...

Well, I am not sure if I understood everything.
You said “calendula intermitently”
When should she start and stop taking it? One day before? A week before?
Also, can she take calendula in the same day she is taking arnica?

You also said “Externally calendula spray can be applied on the surgical site for a couple of weeks”
What is a spray of calendula maid of? Extract? Or Q? and I guess if it’s extract, it must be glycolic extract, right? Not alcoholic right?

Other question: about Carcinocin to help lessen scarring. I am not sure she will need that. It’s more about the swelling, bruises and the purple color. But I’ll ask her.

Thank you so much!

Joana.

Calendula external application can be started immediately after the surgery. Ointment, cream or spray of calendula whatever is available OTC and convenient can be used.

For the first 4 days arnica. If need be this can be continued for few more days. If pain is severe, additionally hypericum along with arnica.

From 5th day she can add calendula in potency.

For sure, her plastical surgeon will prescribe her painkiller, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory. How should she proceed?
Can she use both, homeopathy and alopathy medicines? Or if she uses alopatic, she can't use homeopathy as well?

abcjoana last decade
Please read my last post.
if she has severe pain Hypericum in wich potency?

abcjoana last decade
Hypericum in 200c.

Both systems can be used. If she feels better with h'pathy, she can stop the modern meds.

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru,

How many drops of hypericum 200
how many drops of arnica 200
how many drops of calendula 200?

And also, how many times a day, should she take each medicine? Once a day?

Best,
Joana.

Hi Maheeru!

(There is another post before that.)
I have one question for you: my mum told me she has felt really, really good after taking sulphur 200ch. She told me she usually can’t feel clearly anything after taking homeopathic medicines, but after one drop of sulphur 200ch, she felt happier and her mood has improved completely.
My question is: I’ve heard that sulphur is really good to start treatments, since it works externalizing toxins, diseases or other things in your body, but if continued for long periods, patient general picture will stop the improvements or even complicate. So it must be followed by other medicine. Is it true? Or maybe that is the right medicine for her? How is it called in homeopathy? When you find the right medicine, this medicine is called ...

Best,
Joana.

abcjoana last decade
All meds. one drop as a dose.

Initially she needs to take four doses a day, and after two days, lessen the dosage to three.

Yes the part about sulph. being good to start a treatment is true. Any deep acting remedy used long term can cause side-effects. Other stuff about like--- it will complicate the case or will stop the improvement or it must be followed up by another remedy are not accurate.

Right medicine is called similimum. When constitutional remedy is the similimum, it's the ideal state and there are no layers to peel off, and usually constitutional remedy will take care of everything and fortify the system in that ideal state of health.

maheeru last decade
Ok Maheeru!

Thank you so much!
Best,
Joana.

abcjoana last decade
So, does it mean her similimum medicine is sulphur? I mean, because she told me that after sulphur she felt happy and calm?

abcjoana last decade
May be or may be not however sulph. is a very good remedy for her going by how she feels calm and happy.

I think she should stick with sulphur for the foreseeable period.

maheeru last decade
ok. thank you!

Hi Maheeru,

Today is the 5th day after her surgery and she is now taking arnica 3 times a day. But she doesn't know how many times should she take calendula. Is calendula to be taken 3 times a day, as well?

Thank you!

Joana.

abcjoana last decade
Let her take calendula two times a day.

maheeru last decade
Thank you!

Hi Maheeru!

How can we decide when to stop taking arnica? I mean, what symptoms do we have to stop observing in order to decide it is time to stop?
