Toddler reflux (GERD?) unusual syptoms
My grandson was diagnosed with acid reflux at 2 months. He has been on Similac Alimentum formula since. He failed his 1 year old milk test with severe diarrhea. I give him gas drops with his bottle at night that helps him burp or pass trapped gas. When he wakes at night it's once or twice and I think it's when his digestion is bothering him or very hungry or both. I think his Dr should be concerned that he has remained at 20 lbs for the past 7 months! I thought that would be a failure to thrive when it is so long without gain.He is now 17 months old so too young to tell us when he is in pain. He is taking one of the meds that we take the capsule apart and give him 14 granules in very small bites of apple sauce or lactose free ice cream. I'm not happy with his treatment with GI specialist and have started researching on my own since I am desperate to help him. His Dr cannot explain why after his episodes of crying in pain for an hour with arching his back and being stiff as a board with a minute or 2 break until the next wave hits him (these have subsided with meds about 95 % of the time and when it does happen it's usually in the middle of the night when the reflux med was late evening instead of dinner time..breaks my heart as I hold him tight while walking with him until the Baby homeopath liquid along with another dose of liquid Zantac kick in and he can fall asleep again. When this happens during the day, within an hour he would have a greenish BM that was like a burn on his behind and he screams as bad as the actual episode when changed. Now the strange thing is that his second BM of the day after a pretty much normal first BM in the AM normally... he gets this redness again & it makes me think it's like acid burning his behind even under his penis as if his urine is acidic.
I recently learned of the Nat phos 6 but was unable to find locally. I could only find phos 10 and have been giving a few times a day as directed on bottle (2 at a time)for the past 3 days. Is this pointless for 10 instead of 6? Also supplementing with D3 and Vegetarian DHA, chewable probiotic as well as Aqua Flora Enzyme Restoration Plus and probiotic sprays.
This poor baby has endured so much already. He is currently teething 8 teeth at once over the past few months and has been since 2 months old when his first tooth started until now... We give him Hylands teething tablets and baby tylenol
I'm sorry for the length here but I wanted to include as much as possible for an informed response. I am hopeful someone will have a solution and/or remedy recommendation that will work!

Pl keep 30-40 minutes gap between 1 and 2
Pl stop all other medicines

How does this therapy work better vs Nat. Phos.6 that is suggested frequently in this forum?

The compound 25 is the Dr. Reckeweg cell salt combo
of Nat phos 3x, Nat sulph 3x and silicea 12x all mixed into
one tablet. Not knowing your country, ( I am in usa) I order
the combo's of cell salts from DKO naturals in Canada. You
may google them and put BC-25 in the quick search box
and see the product. The company ships worldwide.
Bc-25 is for acidity and indigestion.

That sounds like a lengthy and expensive process. It can't be found in the US in this day and age? Does this mean there needs to be a prescription otherwise?

Calcarea Carbonica ( Cal Carb) is a common remedy and
in USA health stores and Whole foods it is available in 6c
and in 30c. It costs around $9 for a tube of pellets and
if stored right they last forever.
The items in BC-25 are what they call a combination of
cell salts. Cell salts are also in all the usa health stores and
whole foods individually. They also cost $9 each.

and cell salts for specific issues and it is actually cheaper
to have it all in one tablet.

By lengthy & $$$ I was referring to having to buy from a Canadian source. In my experience the shipping is slow and I've only known people to order items from Canada websites that need a script or can't be purchased here for some reason

I get things from them in 2 days. Faster than usa companies
ship to me for anything. You don't need a script, it is easy.

Compound 25 ordered this week... not here yet. He does seem to be improving since I've been giving him Nat phos 6 in the interim. But having difficulty persuading my daughter to stop his 20 mg Prilosec (Dr instructions are open capsule/give 14 pellets with small bit of applesauce or now she mixes with coconut milk ice cream (small amount to administer as he won't take will anything else.She thinks like many people do which is if something doesn't come by prescription to replace an already prescribed medication, then how can it possibly work very well.
I took it Phos 6 last night when I had gas pains after dairy that wasn't responding to Lact-Aid and I was amazed I felt so much better within 30 min. I take Pantoprazole daily since gastric bypass 7 years ago. I have GERD symptoms if I miss a couple days of it. Not certain that I would benefit the same since this started with a surgical procedure and that circumstance will always be present. The role of cell salts ( there are 12 of them) and they are a
low potency called x, is to put minute minerals into the
blood stream and balance your cells, so that your own
cells then are able to then function correctly and utilize
the minerals and nutrients from food in an optimum
fashion and thus the body works as it should.
Other remedies are meant to kick start your own life force,
so that your life force does the work itself. The remedy
is a catalyst to start that process.
You can google side effects of the Prilosec etc, Drs know
that you cannot take this for a long time bc it does
damage to the bones. They just have nothing else to give,
when there is a problem they don't know how to fix.
