Hair loss after discontinuing medicine

Patient sam2cpa, male 48 years old

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering? My hair is falling out on top of my head.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body? Left foot pain back from my second toe.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings? Stress from work and finances.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? In the morning

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease? I was taking a blood pressure medicine every day, 50 mg of Lopressor hct tablets. I wanted to get off this medicine. I began eating better and exercising. Within 5 months I was able to discontinue the medicine and my blood pressure was back to normal. Within 2 weeks of discontinuing the medicine, my hair began to fall out, this has been just over 2 years ago. Just a few strands, and has continued to get worse. It usually happens during/after a morning shower. 10-40 strands that I notice, maybe even moore. However, if I take a shower later in the day, there is not as much. I have lost half of my hair. All of my family, both sides have thick heads of hair, no baldness or thinning on either side back to my parents, or grandparents. I exercise 4-6 days a week.

6. Which time of the day you are worst? In the morning just after I wake up

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same? None that I can determine.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)? No.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Lycopodium 200 as follows and see how that affects in next 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

I have seen a slight improvement, whereas my hair loss has diminished over the past 2 weeks. It has not stopped, but it is not as much as it was before.

Please don't take any remedy for the time being and report back after 15 days.

I believe that there may be a very slight improvement, but there is still a significant amount of hair every day.

Please take a single dose of Lycopodium 200 and report back after 15 days. Only one dose, not daily.

My hair loss has, at the very least, been cut in half within the past 15 days, perhaps even more. Amazing! I even have some grey hair that is regenerating to my original brown color. The end half is gray but the half closest to my scalp is brown.

I am happy to report that my hair loss has almost stopped, it is down to just 3-4 strands a day. Thank you so very much for your sound advice. I am forever grateful.
