Eczema on arm folds - 10 year old

My daughter has the same problem as the 6 year old Priya. I looked at the pictures and both elbow folds look the same. She's had this since she was 7 years old. It first showed up in summer as small blisters and now the skin is scaly.
I use cortisoid cream and it helps, but I don't want to conitnue it for a long duration. This peaks in summer and gets better in winter.
She sweats a lot and is also a picky and slow eater. She is shy with strangers, otherwise very confident and brave. She does not mind sleeping in the basement by herself and does not scare easily.

She likes to read and wears glasses. Eye sight also got bad around 8 years and is now a -3.75. Mine is also bad.
She is concerned and cares about her older brother, but also argues and fights with him.
She can be moody and easily offended. But if consoled with love, she will turn around. She does not crave food and is a poor eater. She will eat when coaxed. She enjoys chocolate and lemon on apples with salt sprinkled and fried foods like puri, paratha. She does not like foods that are squishy in texture, like rasgoola or halwa - not fond of sweets or cakes, but will eat crunchy cookies. She does not get thirsty much and will go long time without water.
She does have dry skin and also very dry-wavy, thick curly hair. She is dark wheat color and slightly short/average side for her age. She is definately on the thin side.
Thunderstorms etc. don't bother her. She may be picky about who she makes friends with, this goes to that she gets moody at times.
She does not have regular bowel movement and her urine smells. I keep telling her to drink more water.
There is dry skin problem on my father family side. Also cholesterol problem on both grandfathers (Paternal and Maternal) family side; and blood pressure on Paternal grandfather side; Joints - knee issues on Paternal grandmother and aunt side.

Homeopathy Questionnaire
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Patients can use this questionnaire for submitting their cases. The effectiveness of remedy selection is directly proportional to the details provided by the patient while replying these questions.

Patient ID: Sex: Age:
Girl, 10 years old
Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?

Eczema on inner arm folds, and also generally dry skin.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

Last year she also had eczema on her head and we used a special dandruff shampoo. That problem has gone away. But she does have very dry, wavy, curly think hair

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

None that I know off.
4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

About 3 years ago during summer.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
It gets better in Winter and worsens during summer

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
I used a steroid cream that helps it during summer, but then it flares up again. Noticed it gets better when we visited my sister who had well water.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

Perhaps water where we live.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Cold weather. She also feels hot easily and will throw her blanket/cover away at night because she sweats a lot too.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
Moody, not arrogant, sometimes is easily offended, quiet with new people, but with people she knows she is friendly and talkative – but then can get moody. She can get easily offended – and I think that’s because she gets moody

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
fine
- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
Yes, she likes getting pampered. If she does something wrong and I get upset at her, she will go off and it will take her time to calm down. If I yell at her, she gets very upset and mostly that does not work. I have to be calm and talk to her nicely. Then she can get persuaded to do the right thing. Yelling or punishing don’t go well with her.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
Not that I’ve noticed.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
None

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
She is good with friends generally. Other than she can get moody at times with friends. Then she does her own thing – reads or draws etc.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
None that she’s talked about.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
She likes chocolates. Does not like mushy foods like rasgoolla, halwa, cakes and other sweats. Will eat crunchy cookies. Likes namkeen and tangy things like lemon on her apples with salt.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Less thirsty. After it being very hot or some exercise she’ll say she’s thirsty.

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Less, very picky slow eater. Can take 30-40 min to finish a meal.

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
None known. But she’s a picky eater and does not try many foods.

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
Sweats more. Mostly on head as she does have think hair.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
Does get constipated and does not have regular bowel movement.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
Sleeps well. On back, but also on stomach and sometimes curled up on side.

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?
She can be considered creative as she likes to draw and paint.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
Steroid cream

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
cholesterol – Paternal/Maternal grandfathers
Blood pressure – Paternal grandfather
Joints/knee issue – Paternal grandmother

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance
Petite side; dark wheatish color and thin. Bad eyesight, wears glasses. Bruises easily and sensitive to insects – sometimes will get huge swellings on hands and feet.

Ok, please answer a few questions:

Has the child faced any emotional issues?

Has anybody got eczema or asthma in the family - parents or grandparents?

Can you think of some treatment undertaken around the time your daughter got eczema?

Is the eczema oozing something? If yes, then color and type?

What makes the eczema better or worse?

Which part of head she is sweating on?

Zady101 last decade
No emotional issue.
Dry skin on mothers side, coming from grandfather's side.
Summer makes it worse.

SomChow last decade
No oozing. But on scratching it will bleed. Right now it's dark skin. Scaly type.
Generally, sweating all over the head. Scratches mostly at the back of the head. But does not have eczema. Does get dandruff flakes sometimes.

SomChow last decade
And details of any major treatments undertaken?

Which homeopathic remedies have you given her, if any?

Where are you residing at present (country) ?

Zady101 last decade
Logging in to observe progress.

Joe De Livera last decade
No major treatment. Only used steroid cream when it gets really bad. It's worse on her right arm than left.
No homeopathic for this. I do give Pulsitila or Belladonna for cold and fever but not given in past 3-4 months.
Live in the southern part of US. State of GA

1) Does she like cold drinks?

2) Does she like eggs?

3) How quick is she in picking up instructions and commands?

4) How quick is she in assembling information?

5) Is she messy with her clothes and stuff?

Please answer all the questions.

Zady101 last decade
Does not like cold drinks: will eat white of eggs and sometime scrambled eggs - but is a picky eater; good with school instructions and assembly of instructions: can get messy with clothes, but when told to tidy will tidy up and put things neatly. If left unchecked her room and clothes get messy.

Does she wake up refreshed from sleep?

What was her childhood like? Did she meet all her development milestones on time, or was there some delay? In speech, in learning to walk, talk, etc.

Does she feel cold generally?

Zady101 last decade
Yes, she wakes up refreshed. Her development milestones were all normal. She has been on the lighter side of weight and height was in the 75th percentile. Only last year she has moved to 50th per entitle of height. She does not generally feel cold. Even in winter she will not wear long sleeves.

Hi,

Please get Calcarea Carb 6C and let me know once you have it, I will tell you how to dose.

Zady101 last decade
I have the medicine.

SomChow last decade
Have you ever given it before?

Zady101 last decade
No, I just got it from the whole food store.

Dosing Procedure
-------------------------

Please give Calcarea Carb 6C as per the below method:

Please get one dropper bottle of 6 to 8 oz size. Please fill 70% bottle with clean water (spring water, bottled water, etc but not tap water).
1) Dissolve 4 to 5 pellets of the remedy in it. Once the pellets dissolve. Shake 2-3 times to mix the contents well.
2) Add 10% alcohol, so 20% bottle is still empty. You may not add alcohol if you like. It is for preservation only. Instead you may keep the bottle in the fridge.

Tap the bottle 5 times against some leather book or any soft book,
take out 5 drops into 3 tablespoons water, stir and sip.

Do this TWICE a DAY for 3 days and update me. if needed we will adjust the dosage.

Please keep a cup and spoon separate for dosing.

Store the bottle in a dark place away from Sunlight.

Zady101 last decade
Not sure where to get a dropper bottle. Can I use an estimate of half teaspoon or quarter teaspoon. Please advise.

SomChow last decade
What's the size of the bottle that you have? Is it glass or plastic?

Zady101 last decade
I have a plastic bottle

SomChow last decade
What size is it?

It would have been better if you could find a dropper bottle from some pharmacy or supermarket as the method I outlined above is best for resolving skin problems. Anyways let me know. We will work with wherever you get.

Zady101 last decade
Its a 16oz plastic bottle with a squirt on the top, like one to make 'Jalebi' That's the closest I could find.

SomChow last decade
I had a question about the 3 tablespoons of water that I'll mix the 5 drops of medicine mixture. Is that also supposed to be spring or bottled water. or is tap water OK?

SomChow last decade
Yes, bottled water will do but NOT tap water.

Add 5 pellets to the 16 OZ plastic bottle. Let the pellets dissolve on their own. Turn the bottle upside down so that contents mix well.

Hit the plastic bottle on your opposite palm 8 times, take out water equal to Half-a-Cap and pour it into a cup which already has 3 tablespoons in it, stir and drink. This is one dose.

Take 2 doses in a day for 3 days and update me.

Refrigerate the bottle and keep it away from Sunlight.
