Low Platelet Count CML Patient
Dear All, My father who is now 75 years of age is suffering from CML since 2000. Since 2002 he is on Imatinib 100mgx4 oral drug which controls CML. He was never given chemotherapy. Since last 25 days his platelet count is remaining low just after viral fever. Hospital ruled out Dengue, Malaria & Chickengunea. My father is admitted in Hospital since then and Drs. have given him steriods & IGV but Platelet is remaining low and not increasing to normal at all. So far we were asked to arrange Platelets donations and we arranged the same 4 times. But no respite...please help if there exist any medicine.[message edited by nnrastogi on Wed, 21 Aug 2013 05:18:30 BST] Thanks Dr Mahfooz, My father is in Hospital right now and I hope we will able to start your medication after he is discharged... what do you suggest?
