hi - alopecia calling - help!
Hi there,I am suffering from Alopecia, and as you can see from my profile, I have been taking Finasteride 1mg daily since June. I have noticed hair regrowth on the crown and hair on the sides of my head have become stronger, the problem I am having is that the regrowth has slowed and I just have baby hairs, I would like something to resume the speedy regrowth and also to thicken the hair and create regrowth between the crown and towards the front of my head, where hair is long and spaced and stringy. I am 29 and Male in the UK.
I also have gastric reflux problems for which I am taking 20mg Omeprazole twice daily, which started regrowth before I had even got any finasteride, so could this be a gastric problem. I have had a gastroscopy from the mouth to the stomach but they didn't find anything. A doctor has said that I might have a hiatus hernia but they don't treat this with surgery in the uk unless it's severe.

Hi you can start using a cell salt nat phos 6x for your reflux.
Ainsworths homeopathic pharmacy sells the cell salts.
Go over to Joe de Livera' site, www.joedelivera.com and read
about his acid reflux protocol. You cannot keep taking the Omeparzole
bc it starts to have side effects on the bones.
Try this first and get the reflux under control and change your
eating habits, stop acidic foods, chocolate and do not eat
2 hours before bedtime. As you get better you won't need
the nat phos 6x- cell salts work on the interior of the cells themselves,
and then the cells can work right absorbing nutrients and they
are safe to take for weeks at a time.
This is the most important thing to handle right now, after that
you can work on the alopecia and your overall state. I have not
checked what is in the Finasteride, but if it has ingredients similar
to Propecia or Rogaine, side effects of reducing testosterone are
way worse than losing hair.

I looked up the Finisteride today and see that it has
to be taken 'forever' or the hair will be lost as soon
as you stop. Makes no sense to keep drugging the body
long term, bc you know its not going to be good
down the road.

Hi Simone717,
Thanks for the quick response, I have been meaning to reply but have not had time. I will definately look into trying out the remedy you suggested for the acid reflux. As soon as I have it I will report back and let you know if it has helped. One question though, do I replace my omeprazole or do I take both the remedy you suggested and the omeprazole side by side?

so replace 40mg omeprazole with the cell salt nat phos 6x - what dosage or is 6x a dosage?

The natrum phosphoricum is correct
and the potency is called 6x.
Go to Ainsworths home page and put
Schussler Tissue salts in the search
box- a button will show up and you
click that and see the cell salts- there
are twelve of them- and order the

The lowest potency I can get on Ainsworth's website is 9x - should I get this and in what form?

Hi- you are looking at remedy potencies not cell salts.
You are on the wrong page on the Ainsworths site.
Go to the home page,
Put cell salts in search box.
A page will show up, go to the bottom - and
see the button called Schusslers Tissue Salts and click it.

It is a very low dose of a trace mineral. See what goes on- report 4 days
after you have tried it.
You are taking some powerful medications and I was not aware of this.
Homeopathy works on the totality of all that is not well with a person,
including physical and mental areas. And, I don't know all the side
effects of these medicines which may be affecting your digestion.
What I would suggest is that you go to a very experienced homeopath
in the UK or one online that has had success in the areas you need
medication for. If you want help finding some homeopaths, you can
ask me.
I am not sure on the Arnica with what you are taking. Nat phos
with what you are taking might just be a non toxic help for the reflux
but may not be a cure for it due to how other medications may
affecting your system.

Yes, the nat phos 6x is ok. Try it out for 4 days as I said and see
what the effect is on your reflux.
What area of the UK are you in? bc I will first look at who is close by and then
also at Skype if that would be a better
choice of practitioner.

graduated from 3 homeopathy schools, and she helps with nutrition, diet,etc.
You know this is covered by the National Health Service, you just need
a letter from your GP.
This would be a good start to get you on a road to better health and
reduce medications, etc. Please give this a go.

and meant to balance out the interior of the cells.
The standard procedure for cell salts is to take for
3 weeks and then take a week off. You can resume if needed.
So you have to be aware that if you start getting loose
stools, etc then you had a bit too much. Reduce the doses
to twice a day and further as needed.
I just want you to understand, this is not like Western
Medicine. It is supposed to clear up the problem and not
have to be taken 'forever'.

that is much better than Ainsworths.

Secondly is there homeopathic medicine that can resolve 50% paralysis? (An uncle had a stroke and can't use half his brain, half is face, one arm, and a leg, all on the same side.
