Febrile Seizure and poor appetite in 2 year old

Hello,

My 2 year old is underweight (21 lbs) and has very poor appetite. I struggle to get him the daily calories let alone needed vitamins.
Recently on his 2nd birthday he had a Febrile seizue (103.3 degrees) and had another one 3 weeks later (103 temp).
He is very outgoing but does have a huge temper if he does not get what he wants.
Can you please suggest what can be given to
- Improve his appetite
- Control Febrile Seizure
- temper
?
I have consulted numerous doctors and nobody thought he had any physical issues. I am at a loss right now :(.
Thank you!

Hello vanisriam.

Has your son had this problem a long time? Or it started after some episode in his life?
Has he complained of some pain in the abdomen or elsewhere?

What food does he like best?
What he likes best, salty or sweet?

Does he have any kind of allergy or rash?

Other things you can add to this?

Parakletos.

Hello,

Thank you very much for responding.
Initial 3 months of breast feeding went fine and he had pretty good appetite. I had to go back to work and hence we started him on pumped breast milk in a bottle. I think all the appetite problems started after that. He has never complained about abdominal pain or anything else.

What food does he like best?
- I cant tell what he likes the best. He likes rice krispies, cream puffs, peanut butter but he gets bored of them with in a week. He likes PIzza now.

What he likes best, salty or sweet?
- He likes mildly sweet food

Does he have any kind of allergy or rash?
- None. No allergy or rashes.

He was not chewing/did not know to chew until he was about 20 months. So we were crushing the food and feeding him. He has gotten a lot better now that he asks for specific food and tries to eat them. But still I am not able to get him to eat enough calories in a day. He eats about 800 calories a day and that too with very much effort on my part.

Thank you and Appreciate your help!

ey.
From what I can understand, your son needs a medicine called Calcarea Phosphorica.
Start treatment with Calc phos 30C. One dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. A dose is 3 pills under the tongue, let them melt before swallowing.

Try this for 3 days, then take contact with me again.

Thank you very much!
I will try Calc Phos and report back.

A question though. I dont think my son will let me put the pill under the tongue. Can I dissolve it in water instead?

Yes, you can dissolve pills in water.
Actually a pretty good idea. Take five pills in half a glass of water, stir after they are dissolved.
Take a teaspoon and give to your son. Put the rest of the water in the fridge, with a lid, for example plastic wrap over the glass.
Next dose toy can do the same, stir, with a clean teaspoon. You can also use the same mixture all three days.
