The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Attn: Joe De Livera - My 27 months old son has been suffering from reflux since he was 4 months old

Hi,

My son is 27 months old (weighs 26.5 pounds and 33 inches tall) and has been suffering from reflux since he was 4 months old. He was full term kid and I had no complications during delivery.

He has been throwing up ever since he is 4 months old and still throws up 1-4 times a day on most days. We did multiple tests on him but the docs cannot find anything wrong with him except reflux. He has been on zantac 2.6 ml dose two times a day - and prilosec 5ml (liquid form) 2 times a day. The GI says he is on the max dose for both but his reflux still seems to bother him.

I wanted to give homeopathy a try but not sure what and how much to give him. Can someone guide me with this please.

I read somewhere that Nat Pos 6x should help my son - can someone give me more info on this or anything else that someone has tried

Thanks,
pporecha

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please go to joe's site, http://www.joedelivera.com and
talk to Joe about the dosing for this as your child
is a toddler. Joe is not on here everyday, but he can
communicate with you on his own site.

Hi,
this is not the way,Classical Homeopathy is done, you could do harm. for a prescription one would have to do a Anamnesis and Repertorisation. I could do that for you (Pro Bono).

Hey.
Has your son been tested for hernia? Food Allergies?

is there any food he tolerated better than other food products?

Can you tell me a little about your son generally, mood etc..
When this started, there was something special that happened?

Does he have any allergies, rash?
What about diarrhea? The color of feces?

Other things you will mention

Parakletos.

I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD which I hope will help your baby too.

The remedy that has proved to be very effective for Baby GERD is:

Nat Phos 6x dose 1 tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed.

It is essential that you burp baby immediately after each feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily and Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that Nat Phos 6x will help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.

Report progress in 24 hours and as often as you wish on this thread .

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply

Joe De Livera, My son is 27 months old (little over 2 years) - and not on breast milk.

Parakletos, my son has not been checked for hernia but he has been checked for food allergies and has none. He does significantly better when on formula only - but with any solids he tends throw up. The throwing up is either during the meal or 30-60 mins after the meal. There are usually no signs - it just comes out - sometimes he gags or coughs but its very easy for him to take his food out

He does have any rash or diarrhea - this is not something he got recently - he has been this way since he was 4 months old (now is 27 months old) - he threw up a few times btw 2 months and 4 months - but it wasnt bad enough so ped didnt think we needed to put him on reflux med. It got really bad when he started solids around 4.5 months. then we stopped solids and went back to beast milk only but the throw up got better but was still there. its almost like the solids did some damage. currently he is gluten free and dairy free but nothing helps. we started him back on solids at around 10 months and 1 month later started OT and zantac and started seeing a GI.

He eats the same food for lunch, bf and dinner - i have made sure i give him the same stuff to rule out any other problems but some days its fine - he doesn't throw up at all - someday he throws up 2-3 times (with the same food and same quantity)

- he has a 1/2 banana, 1 inch piece of mango, 5 blue berries and some formula with 1/4 tsp olive oil all blended together for bf

for lunch he has one pouch of the earths best sweet potato + beet (4oz) - with 1/2 tbsp olive oil

for dinner he has one pouch of brocolli + apple (4oz) with 1/2 tbsp olive oil

we were told to add the olive oil to increase calories since he barely eats any solids

apart from the solids he has around 12oz formula

Let me know if you need more info

Thanks

I think this is totally wrong and dangerous, and definitely NOT Homeopathy. This could lead to Proving symptoms of the remedy!!!
This is the list of Remedies in Perertorium Complete:
10 Remedies for
Stomach; vomiting,Cyclic,infants:

ingluv; indol; merc-d; cupr-ar; dys-co; iris; carc; kreos; phos; puls

the only way to find out which one of these is the righ one, is to go into detail, repertorisation of the case.

Hi Pporecha,
could you describe his character a bit?
(is he a kind of a baby that is not satisfied with, anythig, wanting for things, when given rejects them and wants something else right again????)

YWill last decade
Y will,

You are new on this forum. This forum is not limited
to 'classical homeopathy'

It is about anything to do with homeopathy and anything
else that anyone feels will help a person. Joe de Livera
has been on this forum from the start of the forum
many years ago. He does not practice 'Classical homeopathy'

There are literally hundreds of Moms on here who
gave their baby the cell salt ( which is Dr. Shuesslers
methodology and is not classical homeopathy either)
and the cell salt stopped the reflux in days and it
never came back.

So this is not wrong or dangerous.Cell salts are mild
and safe and sold in the supermarkets here and they
are not going to hurt anyone.

Shussler did not invent anything, the so called Salts were long existing in Hahnemann Remedies /Provings, he stole information from Classical Homeopath´s
The suggestions made here is 'with luck' treating Symptoms and not HEALING the CAUSE.
Meaning it just supresses the Symptoms, and nothing else.

(I have had patients who got severe Remedy Provings Symptoms from taking one of these Salts for prolongt time they also believed they are 'save and mild')

Hi,
There are a lot of differences in opinion on this forum , which the moderator
welcomes these discussions.

The patient is talking to Parakletos, who is a longtime, classical homeopath,
so I am sure the patient is in good hands here.

Hi,

I appreciate the replies. I have not decided to blindly give medications to my child - I am going to weigh in my options once I hear from ppl on this forum. I am from Asia and am aware of the pros and cons of homeopathy.

YWill - to ans your ques about my sons character - he is a very happy child and does take directions well. If asked not to do something he does listen and moves on to the next thing. The only time we see all his frustration come out is during meal times - he hates meal time. Has always hated it from the time we started giving him solids. Something to do with solid that doesnt suit him well. I could not give him food for the whole day and he wont complain or ask me for it. He never asks for water, milk or food. That is why we never know if he is hungry or not. We have a schedule to feed him some food or milk every 3 hours.

Thanks,
pporecha

Pporecha,
one thing I would change right away would be the oil, start giving him Organic Virgin Coconut oil instead of the olive oil.
yvette
PS:
My guess is he has light Pyrolic stenosis.(very common in infants)
Was he tested for Pyrolic Stenosis? (Google how this is done so you´ll know) in that case you should give him Phosphor LM 6,
(before going to bed) -
(LM is the same as Q Potencies) get it liquid, give him one - three drops, once and wait for one week what happens, then let me know how he´s reacting to it.(normaly it should work for 4 weeks,do not overdose, Phosphor is one of those Remedies that impregnates) Also dont for get before administering to hit the bottom of the bottle 10 times, hard against your palm or something like a phone book this is succussion of the Potency.
go to my profile for my e-mail /pro bono
regards

well thas not reliable enough, its very difficult to diagnose.
Give it a try with Phos.or the second coice would be Ferr.Phos (thesame instructions as above) see what happens.
To do it propperly we would have to go on Chat over skype,(does not cost a peny) since I have hudreds of questions.

Pporecha,
did you try something from the recomendations?
