Hair Loss/DheaS

Hello,

I have been losing hair since a little after puberty and I have excess hair growth on my face and neck. The endocrinologist said I have elevated DHEAS and gave me 3 months of spironolactone. I took it for a month and it had alot of side effects, but it brought the level down to almost normal. The hair loss stopped about 3 months after I stopped taking the medicine for one month, and then it started again. When I went back to the endocrinologsit 6 months later, the DHEAS had gone up again, but also the testosterone which was normal before increased to 43( 0-45 is normal). My question is this, once the testosterone and DHEAS come within normal range, will all the hair I lost grow back or because of the testosterone, those follicles are dead and won't grow hair again.
