geographical tounge
my 4 yr old son has chronic geographical tounge and his tounge swells up so much it cracks and bleeds to the point where he cant eat or drink. im desperatley trying to find a cure if not some kind of relief for him. can anyone help me?claretwin on 2005-10-08

Please describe "geographical"in more detail. Do you mean "mapped"? If you have a scanner, can you do it with a sketch as attachment to e-mail? If you click on my name, you will see my e address. Also,please give all other abnormalities in his health. Since it is a chronic case, tell me frankly,if confidential, by e-mail, any history of serious skin disease, gonorrhoea, syphillis,tuberculosis in the family?
In the meantime, whenever the swelling starts, which you say leads to cracking and bleeding, give Apis Mel immeditely. Keep medicine ready.
Buy Apis Mel(low potency),3x,or above that is available,1 drachm tincture(liquid medicine). Put 1 drop in 1 ounce of distilled water/non-medicinal spring water(boiled)/rain water(collected after it has rained for a few minutes)/drinking water(boiled) and shake it vigorously at least 10 times. Out of this, use 1/2 tea-spoonful as a dose.
Take next dose when the improvement from the previous dose starts wearing off. If necessary, you can repeat it even every 15 minutes. Shake,as before, every time, just before taking the next dose.

I have noted from your mail that you have no history of STD etc. in the family. That makes things simpler.
I hve not been able to find a single remedy to cover all the symptoms simultaneously. We will,therefore,deal with them if and when they appear on starting treatment.
First of all, to bring the system to equilibrium, after much dosing with allopathic medicines, as mentioned in your mail, we will start with Nux Vomica 30. Give 2 globules 3 times on the first day.
After that, start with Taraxacum Q(mother tincture) 2 drops as a dose. If you notice improvement, repeat the dose after the improvement starts wearing off. If there is no change, give doses 8 hourly for a week or until you notice improvement, whichever is earlier. Keep reporting regularly.
If in the meantime the tongue starts swelling, stop Tarax and give Apis, as advised earlier. Report.
If during swelling, the tongue starts cracking and bleeding, stop Apis and give Arum Triphylum in the same way as Apis. Report.
You could not keep me informed of the progress too frequently.
