Restlessness/sleeplessness/fussiness in baby

My son will be 5 months old on the 24th. For the past 3 weeks he has been waking up every 45 mins- hour crying which will eventually escalate to a full blown scream if left alone. He has to be bounced on a yoga ball to get him to calm down and go back to sleep. He has a full tummy and doesn't want to eat when waking up. He seems exhausted but just can't sleep or stop fidgeting long enough to fall asleep. During the day his naps are the same problem. He's fussy all day because he's so tired. He doesn't calm down immediately when picked up which would indicate he just wants to be held. It takes at least 30 mins to calm him down. HELP! We are both exhausted!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I want to also add he has reflux which is managed by thickening his milk and he seems constantly congested. He sometimes gets choked up on mucous if he spits it up. Even if I'm holding him in his sleep he still wakes up screaming.

Is he on any medication.

Is his chest full of phlegm

What is the color of phlegm

How is his stool

Is his nose open

If you are holding him and he wakes up screaming, what calms him then

He's been on Zantac elixir since 2 months. Normal stools. Mucous is clear. Chest sounds congested as well.

Does he arch his back when crying

Yes!

Please give him a dose of Colocynth 30c.

Just one dose. Not everyday.

One dose is made by dissolving one pill of the remedy in half a glass of cooled, boiled water. Stir it and give one tea spoon from it.

Report back with changes observed.

He woke up 7 times last night but was a little easier to calm down and get back to sleep 4/7 times. Today he was less fussy and napped good.

Please repeat the dose tonight, if possible, same time as yesterday.

I did same dose same time. He woke up 5 times crying but was easier to console than before. Today he is fussy and clingy so far.

Here is the rule of adjusting the dose and you can do it yourself:

If the improvement is holding on, don't repeat the dose.

If there is a slide back of symptoms and problem starts re-appearing after getting better, repeat the dose.

If the symptoms get worse even after the dose, you have overdone it, no more doses.

Contact me if some problem arises.

It takes a few hours for the dose to show its effect, usually 4-6 hrs.

Ok thank you
