Dog with the bowels condition problem.

Good evening,
I have dog, Woody, a one year old black lab mix, male, neutered at 7 months. He had giardia, demodex, ears, eyes infections. But the biggest problem, what has been with us since begining, is his poops, yellow/greenish/orange, smelly, not watery, sometimes slinky pudding, sometimes semi-formed, often mucusy, shinny. The first part better then the last one. Always with pieces of sticks in it he chewed before. When younger he ate stones, grass, sticks. Now he eats sticks often and grass sometimes. No belly noises, gases etc. At one moment he lost 8 pounds. He gets B12 shots. He used to be the blackiest black dog. Now he is more brown/red. Often his ears have a sticky, like a warm play doh, black or dark brown with no odor, discharge. Woody had warts on his lips, 1 big and 3 small ones, went away after 2 and ½ weeks with thuja 30c 2x a day. Maybe 2 weeks after thuja treatment the histiocytoma showed up. Warts never came back. He is not the bravest dog ever. When attacked or grawled at, he runs away, never gets involved. But he is very curious. Has great sense of smell. He is not nervous, but is very alert. Rarely is completely calm. He has his fears, like didnt want to use the stairs to go downstairs to the basement, so he saw the basement for the first time after 4 months of living with us. He doesn’t mind thunders, fireworks, but gets scared with a sudden close loud noises, like starting harley, sirens. When he sleeps well, its not easy to wake him up. He loves to swim, but dislikes showers and getting his face wet.
What to do? He was getting Pulsatilla 30c for 2 weeks, no changes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Maja

Hello,
Maybe i should add a few things.
Woody is very friendly with dog and people. His calm inside and playful outside. Sometimes, when he plays with other dogs, he still plays in a puppys way, goes after their necks, and sometimes its hard to distract him, he plays like there is no tomorrow.
He likes attention, but his favorite places at the house to lay down, are not too close to his poeple family. He likes to be pet, but almost never exposes his belly.
He has terrible calluses.
He listen very well, altough, when he was a puppy he was very stubborn.
He is on raw diet, just meat and fish oil.
No he is laying down close to me and i can hear his belly tumbling.
Help please!

Fitness, thank you soo much for taking your time and answering.
I will get Arsenicum Album 30c today.
Just remembered something. Before Woody got Pulsatilla, he got once test dose of Sulphur 30c, and the next morning he had explosive diarrhea all over the house. Afternoon he was fine and back to his regular cow pies. So Pulsatilla was choosen over the Sulphur.
Anyway,
he will get the frist dose of Ars. tonight, the second one tiomorrow morning, and I will report you back Sunday.
Thank you,
Maja.

Please list down the remedies given to him so far alongwith dates if possible and his response to the remedies.

The remedies he got so far were:

1. Thuja 30c - 2/day, for 2 weeks, it was March 2013.
He got it for warts. Warts went away, started to shrink on the third day, and were completly gone after 2 weeks. And soon after Thuja treatment a histiocytoma showed up on lis lef front toe. Histiocytoma stayed for 5 months, and started to shrink (I dont know it was related) after I treated his giardia with herbal remedy called Kocci Free.

2. Sulphur 30c - test dose, around September 15, after his breakfest, and before noon. Diarrhea next morning. No other changes.

3. 3 days later test dose of Pulsatilla 30c, after his breakfest, and before noon. I noticed (but homeopath didnt seem to mind that) the same evening, Woody was more nervous and alert. Was running in the backyard with his nose stuck to the ground, didnt react when called. Was sitting close to me, like he was scared. Reacted to the slightest noises.

Then, after 4 days he got B12 shot on Thursday, and Pulsatilla once a day, at evening, an hour after last meal for 4 days, then Thursday off Pulsatilla, B12 shot, and Pulsatilla again on Sunday.
After the first one nervous response, I didnt notice any major changes, he got just more 'sniffy', but not scared or nervous anymore.

No other homeopathy with Woody.

Thank you,
Maja

So, they have pellets only, liquid form has to be ordered and will come Wednesday. Is it better to wait or should I go with pellets? 3 other homeophatic remedies he was getting in the past were in a liquid form, not pellets.
I guess it is worth to have a home kit...

You can dissolve one pellet in half a glass water and then give a dose from it. One dose would be one teaspoon, it can be given mixed in anything.

Good Morning Fitness,
Again thank you for you input with my sons mixed remedies.
And about Woody the dog:
Saturday he got the right remedy twice. He is raw fed, and Saturday I was out of chicken, what makes up to 50% of his diet. I took out from the freezer some pork form him, thinking about starting elimination diet as he was never tested for allergies. So something did finally work for him! Since Saturday. Afternoon his poops are solid. It can be because of no chicken or because of arsenicum. But he is calmer and when playing in a dog park he pays more attention to me and listen even better then he did before. His eyes are better, the discharge is not sticky, and fresh anymore, its more dry now and less of it. He sleeps better, deeper.
He is more relaxed, what was very noticable last night when I took him to the backyard around 11 pm. He sat calmly, played with the ball, was not runnning around sniffing.
Overall he is better.
Is there any next step?
And could you tell me please what to do when in January he is due for the rabbies vaccine? I'm going to go only for rabbies, because its by law, and not to vaccinate him for anything else.

You are welcome.

We can attribute some of the improvement to dietary changes but the mental symptoms & general behavior improvement seems to be a result of Arsenic.

Now we will just wait and if there is a slide back, we will repeat the dose.

Go ahead with the vaccine of rabies when required.

Keep me posted about any issues.

Fitness,
My dog is so nice and mellow today, played well with an 8 weeks old puppy and was so gentle!
I'm keeping him on pork, poops are fine, and he become a super cute big hugger! He even didn't chase a cat, but had listen and stayed by my side.
Thank you,
Maja
