Confused Advice Needed

I am wondering the correct way of prescribing, there may be differences of opinion on here. I had one homeopathic veterinarian who prescribes in LM and 6c potencies always, and if the remedy does not work, goes on to another remedy. Also I have dealt with veterinarian homepath who starts with 200c and if improvement, goes to 1M. I asked the one who doses low and he says to be cautious. it's not particular to the case, he does this for every pet all the time. which is more effective?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
In homeopathy this is called 'posology' and there are
differences of opinion on this.

Usually when there is actual disease homeopaths will
do a lower potency that is aimed at clearing the pathology
out of the tissues. Some homeopaths like LM's and some
hardly ever use them. So it sounds like the LM homeopath
has expertise with this method and the good thing
about LM's is they can be dosed frequently and you cannot
do that with a 200c or a 1 M.

The bottom line here is the sensitivity of the patient and
how much vital force they have and in what stage the
problem is, an acute sudden thing or advanced disease.

in this case both animals have ongoing chronic disease. have gone from remedy to remedy, even if it works well instead of going up, he goes on to next remedy. how do you know how much vital force they have? if they are vibrant, and lively etc?

Certainly if they are vibrant that is a higher
vital force then a pet who is only lively for
a couple hours a day or not at all.

Are you in the Usa? I think you could do with
another opinion here. A lot of this has to do
with the skill of the homeopath. If the homeopath
is not going up in potency, he probably thinks
the higher doses are not going to address a
very physical issue, and maybe he is trying to
cure layers, I don't know the answer.

A well known vet homeopath is Dr. Christina
Chambreu, you can google her, and also she
is on a free site where you can ask her a question.

You might want to read this article in Hpathy.comhttp://hpathy.com/homeopathy-papers/prognosis-and-homeopathy....

Here is an excerpt:The selection of the most similar remedy is not always possible and single remedy cures are not very frequent (Sherr, 2007). Homeopaths believe that if the remedy is not similar or if the case has many layers or if the underlying miasm needs to be addressed separately, then more than one medicine may be needed in a case (Ghegas, 1999). Even if the right remedy is selected in the first instance, it requires good case management to cure a chronic case of many yearsÂ’ duration (Sherr, 2007). The case management includes evaluation of remedy response, decisions about subsequent prescriptions, potency selection, repetition etc. It is believed that the result in a case not only depends upon the remedy selection but also the case management (Little n.d., Schepper 1995, 1999).

Prognosis in Homeopathy

The concept of health, disease and cure in homeopathy is very different from the views held by conventional medicine (Schepper, 1999). Homeopaths work on the basis that the human body is one integral whole, which falls sick as a unit and not in parts. Homeopaths also believe that there is a life force, called the Vital Force, which animates the human body and is responsible for all life functions (Hahnemann, 1921). The concept is similar to the concept of Prana in Ayurveda and Chi in TCM (Schepper, 1999). It is believed that a person becomes sick only when his/her vital force is deranged or weakened (Hahnemann, 1921).
