The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Yet another ED treatment question

Hi there,
Firstly i'm a 24y.o male with a rather annoying problem.
Erectile Dysfunction.
So i've gone down the medical path with doctors prescribing pde-5 inhibitors and whilst they work great and show me my bits do work, i didn't need them before. Doctors keep telling me it's all in my head, but I definitely don't react the way I used a few years ago.
I'm suffering from erectile disfunction, and whilst I do feel something twitch when I get turned on by a kiss or a touch, the rest of what should happen just doesn't. When i CAN get it in, it is with soft entry and I will either have premature ejaculation or have delayed ejaculation (both with a lack-lustre erection, what a mixed bag!?).
I do also notice some pre-cum leakage before even getting intimate with my partner.
I also have moderate anxiety in day to day life and more-so with the ever failing love-life. I occasionaly have pain in what feels like my testicle, and occasionally have an inflamed prostate (vibration feeling at base of penis inside my body).

Looking at homeopathic remedies there seem to be a few that have been identified to remedy what i seem to be feeling so i'd like some thoughts on what I should take and what doses before I go about this the wrong way.
So i was looking at Lycopodium clavatum, this seems like a safe bet and also seems it help me with my anxiety and all the social dilemas that arise with it.
I was also looking at graphites, as it seems I already have an increased desire for sex but am unable to perform, I am also shy and indecisive at times
Ashwagandha, a safe bet on all fronts I assume?
Also what about Agnus Castus?

Can someone provide some input on what they think? I want to put this problem to rest once and for all!

*note i have also abstained from any form of touching/ejaculation for 2 months and seen little improvement in these fronts*

Thanks all!

What are the symptoms of yeast infection

Are you having trouble with erection all the time or just during sex

How is your sex desire

Explain anxiety further

fitness last decade
Hi fitness,
The symptoms of the yeast infection are itching and redness under my foreskin. It is managable with a topical Imadazole/Coticosteroid cream but after symptoms subside it i continue to apply the creams for a week after but after stopping it re-appears. I've been tested for STD/I's and was found clear so i've ruled this out.
I wake with an erection most days and it stays around for a few minutes (varying strengths and lengths of time). I think it's just during intimacy that i have this problem.
I think my sex desire is fine, but it's not like I look at every girl I see and want to f*** them on the spot. Its like I want to have sex but can't.
The best way to describe my anxiety is walking into a room full of people and feeling confronted, running late going somewhere, laying with my girl just getting intimate and getting the same response, a cold sweat, heart beating very fast, repetetive thoughts/overanalysing things.
I find exercising frequently during the week really helps with this but it is still something I notice.
I hope this helps.
Thanks, Pumpkinpie

Where do you feel the anxiety in your body

You mentioned stomach cramps, how & when do you feel them

How do you know its prostate inflammation

What are the symptoms of prostate inflammation

What makes the itching & redness under foreskin better & worse

Explain the earache that you wake up with at times

Explain the pain in testes, which one is it
[message edited by fitness on Tue, 29 Oct 2013 14:10:02 GMT]

fitness last decade
Hi fitness,
My anxiety makes my hands shake or my leg shake nervously. I feel it close to my neck or like a lump in my throat.
Stomach cramps aren't that often but Id say its based on my frequency of eating or perhaps if I'm hungry (this is probably normal?)
I don't know its my prostate persé but I've self diagnosed this one because the fluttering/twitching in that area occurs after sitting for extended periods of time and is made temperarily better by pushing out on my pelvic floor.
The itching and redness under my foreskin seems to get worse if I stop treating it With the cream after 2-3 days.
The earaches I was describing usually occur in winter and would happen on the side exposed to the cold, they were a sharp pain in my ear and would subside as the morning went on.
Also the pain in my testes isn't like blue balls but rather a radiating pain from my left testicle that feels a little deeper than just the testicle itself.
Thanks!

For the itching I wanted to know about the effect of temperature, pressure, dampness etc. Anyways.

I think you need Argentum Nitricum 200c.

Here is how:

Take two doses 12 hrs apart. One dose is one pill.

That's it. Not daily. Just two doses.

fitness last decade
Hi fitness,
So this for all the listed symptoms? Are there any risks taking Argentum Nitricum?
Thanks

pumpkinpie last decade
If taken as advised, most likely no risk.

fitness last decade
I expect a temporary aggravation though which will be a good sign.

fitness last decade
And lastly how long before I'd expect to notice changes in myself from it?
Thankyou!

pumpkinpie last decade
Everyone is unique, difficult for me to say how soon will you see the effects. Normally I can expect 1-2 weeks.

fitness last decade
Thanks again, I have some on order and will let you know how I go!!!

Hi fitness.
One last question... Are there any foods/suplements I should be avoiding while undergoing treatment? (I'm currently taking fish oil, zinc, garlic tablets, metagenics brahmi tone, and glutamine and arginince)
Thanks!

pumpkinpie last decade
Please stop all supplements till we can see the outcome of the homeopathic treatment.

fitness last decade
Hi fitness,
An update on my progress, not much has changed in the way of my problem. I'm wondering could I have sabotaged my treatment by having coffees every 2nd day? Also I took the Arg-Nit in the evening and the 2nd dosage the morning after.
I feel like my anxiety is slightly less, but maybe this is because I have completed a few of my finals. I'm not sure if I should be expecting a night and day type difference in myself.
My performance in bed is more than fine when I do get an erection but it requires a lot of effort to get it there, and requires constant stimulation to keep it up. I'm not aroused by touch or feel.

Should I redose with Arg-Nit?
Are there any foods I should not be eating?
[message edited by pumpkinpie on Mon, 11 Nov 2013 21:35:42 GMT]

pumpkinpie last decade
When did you take the dose.

Are you are regular coffee drinker or have just started.

So there has been no change at all in any of your symptoms?

fitness last decade
I drink a coffee every second day if I feel tired..
Overall I'd say no improvement no. I took the dose a week ago.
Overall I'd say no change in any symptoms.

It means the remedy is wrong as we may have missed something crucial in your case history.

Please review your answers again and confirm everything that you have answered.

I will get back with more questions after this.

Thanks fitness, i'm happy with your approach and would like you to have another look.
I will go into more detail.

One thing i have noticed in the last week is my prostate fluttering seems a bit better.

pumpkinpie last decade
I still feel that the initial remedy selection is wrong otherwise we should have seen more response. Lets re-confirm.

fitness last decade
1. Your age & sex
24, Male

2. Describe your appearance i.e. weight, height, body type

Fluctuate around 60+kg's, slim. Fair skin, blue eyes, dark blonde hair. A little bit oily skin on face and back (pimples on back), but good skin everywhere else.

3. What is your main health problem & its symptoms

Sexual/genital problems:
Problem obtaining an erection and maintaining one. -Have always had some difficulty getting an erection after prolonged contact with a partner (a few hours kissing, laying with them, touching them but not having sex).
After this I will notice excessive pre-cum in my underwear and my penis will no longer respond to touch or emotion after this and is lifeless. Sometimes I will feel like I have the urge to urinate in these situations.
-I also believe I had sexual exhaustion after attempting this for too long with precription medication (Cialis), and my penis remained lifeless for a month (so i abstained from any sexual contact) before i started to get somewhat normal erections again. They vary in strength and how long they are erect for but it is never over a minute without some kind of phsyical stimulation.
-I have an occasional pain in my testicles in what feels like the top of the testicle or cord that What is your main health problem & its symptoms.
- I also have a recurring fungal rash under my foreskin which keeps re-appearing if i stop using an antifungal I have been prescribed despite the rash looking to be cleared for several days (re-applying cream to make sure it is gone)
-I find my penis will leak a little bit of urine after I have stopped urinating, this is always the case.
- I need to urinate fairly frequently even if i havn't had much to drink. Often i will go to urinate and my bladder will have been far from full.

General Problems:
-I occasionally have lower back pack, after working generally (being on my feet and lifting boxes despite using correct lifting techniques)
-My feet generally feel cold; I will still sweat if they feel cold.
-Anxiety, insecurity and general indecisiveness has increased in the last 2 years; questioning things, myself, others, overthinking & overanalyzing things, worrying about issues or matters that don't concern me, worrying about others a lot, trying to put others needs before mine. I will usually let someone else decide what we should eat, where we should go, and leave lots of options and choices open as I myself don't set my mind on any one thing.
(I don't mean this as a problem rather how I find myself to be)
- Mucous build up in throat, have to constantly hawk/cough out yellow/clear phlegm.

Mental:
- I often get myself into a worry unnecesarily about being late, and my heart will beat fast, i will breathe shallowly, i will become very jumpy and not patient with decisions (eg. driving to a friends house, worrying about needing to stop to fill up some gas and making myself late, I will look into my mirrors or perform a headcheck and often double take as though I did it too quickly the first time and have to make sure there isnt a car in the other lane).
- I will occasionally feel unmotivated to do anything, I will put things off or convince myself they were never really that important. I will opt to sleep in despite having no reason to.
- I find I get distracted in my thoughts and worry about problems rather than the task at hand. My short-term memory is also not the best.

4. When did this main problem begin

It may have been when I became sexually active but has been very pronounced this last year with this new partner.

5. Can you relate any event or events which triggered this problem

I can relate this problem to a VERY early sexual experience when I was much younger (10 years old) and remember myself running to and from the toilet to urinate whilst having a constant erection and no physical stimulation.
If i am laying with or talking with a possible sexual partner, talking with them for excessive time or spending too long just kissing and cuddling will make me have excessive pre-cum and this seems to be correlating with lacking erections.

6. What makes the main problem better
A good nights sleep usually makes me feel better all over, althought as I stated above sometimes I will feel unmotivated to get out of bed straight away.

7. What makes it worse
A lot of physical or mental exertion often make my problems worse, although exercising I find i will urinate less frequently.

8. What other health problems do you have
I have a very dry, itchy, scaby scalp.
I have dry skin around and on my nose.
Occasionally eyes will be sore as though they are dry and closing them will feel like relief if i roll them in my closed eyelids.
Swallowing certain foods/tablets make me feel gag.
My gums bleed easily when i brush my teeth and are generally tender.
I have allergies, pollen & cats. Pollen is probably the worst.

9. How do you feel mentally & emotionally (weepy, irritable, restless etc.)
I often feel needy, like I need some human touch or some sort of appreciation.

10. Describe your personality (stubborn, easy going, always in a hurry etc.)
I am very outgoing, and keen to help others before myself. I am open minded. I am usually in a hurry, but mianly because i like to leave with enough time to get somewhere. I like to be right on time (taking into account walking, driving and small things i may encounter).
Generally I am happy and relaxed but certain situations in everyday life make me anxious until I remove myself from them. I am passive aggressive and don't overreact to anything, i will stand on the sidelines and listen to what is being said before saying something myself.
I am a little bit shy, and feel as thought I am being judged when I meet new people and feel awkward just trying to converse with them.
I like to be on my own or with friends, as soon as there is someone new i feel a little confronted.
I think a young man with the mind of an old man.
I am very empathetic and concerned about the wellbeing of others.
I have not cried for years, but feel teary when i feel empathy toward someone if in an emotional situation.

11. How do you relax
I like to sit or lay down, and slow my breathing right down. I like to listen to music without vocals and more recently make more of an effort to clear my mind rather than let my thoughts wander. I like to go walking in the outdoors during the day or night.

12. Do you normally fight or flight
I normally flight, I will avoid confrontation if i can and fighting makes me anxious and worried

13. What animals are you afraid of
Big aggresive dogs startle me, big bugs.

14. What situations are you afraid of (heights, closed spaces, ocean etc)
Places with lots of noise, lots of people and hustle and bustle. The dark and not being able to see everything has me on edge too.

15. What occupies your mind mostly
Overthinking, worrying about things that are yet to happen, have happened or are happening. Whether it be situations i'm dealing with or interactions between people. I often hope for the best but expect the worst.

16. How do you respond to consolation & sympathy
I am thankful, but don't accept the words in my mind whether they are genuine or not. I will say... 'thanks' or 'it's alright', even if it isn't.

17. Do you want to stay alone or with people
I like to be with people i know and am comfortable with, and like to be alone but not for too long at a time.

18. How is your sleep
My sleep is fairly good, I have a regular routine and strive to get 8 hours a night. Occasionally if i have nothing to do immediately after waking I will choose to lay for longer and fall asleep again for another hour or 2.

19. Do you have any recurring dreams
No recurring dreams, no repeating themes.

20. What type of weather do you like and how it affects your complaints
I like warm weather, usually my scalp flares up a little more in this weather and I will sweat a little more, but my feet feel warmer and I won't be as cold in general.

21. Do you normally feel hot or cold
I normally feel cold, I immediately shiver or shake if i feel cold.

22. What type of clothes you wear
I wear what i feel comfortable in, i dress to suit the weather and make sure i will be warm.

23. What foods you love
I love eating healthily, i feel better by doing so. Lean meats, eggs, greens, steamed vegetables. I like Asian noodle dishes as they incorporate all these, and i also like a bit of chocolate every now and then but never eat sweets to excess, a little is enough.
I like meals that are served hot or warm .

24. I don't hate any foods in particular, perhaps bitter greens or vegetables. I dislike herbs like parsley, dill and corriander.

25. What taste you love (sweet, salty, sour, bitter)
I like a mixture of all of these, especially having something sweet after something salty, but if i were to pick one it would be sweet.

26. What taste you hate
I least like bitterness.

27. Do you want to eat indigestible foods (chalk, mud….)
Maybe only soft chewing gum.

28. How is your thirst
Reasonable, I never drink too much though as I know I will urinate too frequently

29. Do you have dry lips & mouth
I often have dry lips, if i lick them they get worse and worse so I avoid doing this and have some kind of ointment on hand to moisturise them, I am trying to use this less and less and only have maybe one day a week that i will need to moisturise them.

30. Any coating on tongue first thing in the morning
Not in particular, maybe a little bit white on the tongue

31. Any taste or smell from your mouth first thing in the morning
Bad breath in mornings.
32. How is your skin
My face is a little bit oily, the rest of the sking on my body is fine. My back has pimples on it and my face occasionally has a few (a lot more in adolescence)

33. Details about your sweat (perspiration)
When I exercise i think i sweat normally, it has its own distinct smell. When i'm anxious or walking around in hot weather (stress sweat), this is more excessive and has a different smell.

34. Any problems with ears, nose, chest, throat
Occasionally i will wake with a sore ear (whichever was out in the cold overnight in the weinter), and growing up i would have a pain in my chest/ribs occasionally that was very sharp and if i moved up or down would be unbearable but when i stretched completely or breathed in or out very deepy it would 'pop' out and go away.

35. How is your stool & urine
Stool is generally solid, a little soft, and once daily in the mornings. Urine is a lot more unpredictable and I can iether hold it for a long time or have to go very frequently. The color of my urine doesn't correlate to either of these, maybe the times i go frequently it is more often clear but not always.

36. How is your sexual life & desire
I'm unsure what normal sexual desire is anymore. I am with my partner and want to have sex with her but don't want to attempt to becuase of the situation i'm in. I feels like it should be fun and care free but it is everything but at the moment. I don't have strong physical urges towards women nor stare at them like they are pieces of meat. My body doesn't react to the sight of a fine looking woman or her touch.

37. Males genitals (erection, pain etc.)
As listed above.
Occasional fluttering in prostate (as described last time although this has become a little better since).

38. Females menses details for regularity, flow, clots, discharge other than menses (reply to all these points)
N/A

39. What illnesses are running in your family, mother’s side & father’s side & brothers/sisters
Fathers side both parents have type 2 diabetes because of diet. No others known.

40. Are you taking any medicines (allopathic or homeopathic)
I was taking Cialis for my erectile difficulty up until recently
I am using a anti-fungal steroid cream for my rash
I was taking various multivitamins also (zinc, ginseng, fish oil)

41. What homeopathic remedies have you taken in the past (potency, dose, approx. time frame)
Kali Mur 6x Tissue salts a few years ago 4-5 times a day to help with tonsillitus. My mother asked me to try it and I'm not sure I saw a difference using this.
The last prescribed Arg-Nit 200C 2 doses, 12 hours between.

I think i've repeated myself a few times in there but I hope this paints a better picture.

I'll also add I need to wait for my urine flow to start unless i'm absolutely busting to go, and lately i've been jumbling up sentences, also swallowing any tablets makes me wretch.

Looking at Lycopodium, Conium and Graphites (moreso Lyc.) I see many symptoms that I have had over the last few years that aren't as pronounced at the moment.

Thanks for the time you've spent so far, i'm eager to answer any more question you have for me!
