GERD 4months old baby

I am the mother of a 4 months old son suffering from severe GERD. Since birth he used to cry a lot and wanted to nurse on and on...think that made me believe that my milk was not enough for him but continued to breastfed in hope that things will settle down with time. he gained more than 1kg per month in the first 2 months. at about 7 weeks old my baby start regurgitating a lot after feedings. he had an ultra sound and everything was fine, doctors said it's because he eats to fast. i was prescribed prevacid for a month to calm the symptoms of reflux. instead on any good change my baby general state was getting worse with time..vomiting and regurgitation happen even an hour after feeding, excessive crying, arching back, hard burping, no sleep, coughing and cocking at the breast, difficulty to feed, fussiness and colic..my baby has them all! the last thing I want was to end up giving him meds. now he is on omeprazole 20mg per day for a week and no improvement.i read about the therapy with nat phos 6x and arnica 30c and I'm about to order from biovea website. not sure if the arnica product that I found is the right one ARNICA MONTANA 30x 250 Tablets from hyland. please let me know so that i can complete the order. also i read that the remedy makes the mother loose weight. I don;t need that at all! already lost enough, how can I avoid that? thank you very much for replying.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You can try this with the nat phos 6x for the baby only and
do not need the arnica. Stop the omeprazole.

Try giving 1/2 tab after feeding, no more than 5x
in 24 hours.

You can dissolve the nat phos in a tablespoon of water
after a feeding, For yourself, make sure you are not having
foods that produce gas, like onions, cabbage, beans and so
on.

You will be able to tell if this works in 24 to 48 hours.
There are other remedies for this if the nat phos does not
help.

I'd give the baby Calcarea Phosphorica 30c, two doses, 12 hrs apart and that should work.

No need to have two different remedies.

Within 12-24 hrs results should be evident, if the remedy is right.

thank you for your replies. I've already ordered online nat phos, i'll try it first, hoping to get them soon. I have a question though. I'm breastfeeding him only when he's sleepy otherwise he is too agitated and regurgitates everything.the feeding takes a long time 45min sometimes an hour until he's asleep. it's the only way he goes asleep.. I burp him asleep to avoid vomiting, sometimes even like that he still spits up a bit. then i hold him to sleep upright for as long as i can.you're saying nat phos should be taken immediatly after feed..would it still have the same effect if our feedings are taking so long?..and i should probably give it after burping to avoid being spit up? although it's hard if he is asleep, he will wake up again

for how long can a treatment with nat phos be taken?

thanks again for your concern

Hi- the nat phos doses can be stopped as soon
as you see the baby is doing better. For babies
that have had this for some time, if you notice
improvement, I would say then go down to 3 doses a day,
then 2 and so on till you don't need it.

Nat phos is also a cell salt which balances out the cell
interior so that nutrients are absorbed correctly.
Most of the time I have not seen people need to use
it for more than a week, but you will know in a day
whether it is working.

Burp the baby, and then spoon or use a dropper to
give the remedy- it will be absorbed on the tongue
, so this way it won't be spit out
later.
