Homeo Course

I am 45 yrs old engineer. I am interested to learn homeopathy and practice. Which universities or instituations provide courses in Homeo? Does it require to go through entrance examinations?

Would be a great help if somebody can throw some light on this....

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It depends what country you are in. If you are in India,
there are some schools that do not offer you a 'real'
credential to have an official practice. I think that it
would be good for you to contact practicing homeopaths
and ask them what schools they recommend going to
and basic requirements.

I am in the US and also interested in this topic. It seems that everyone practices so differently, it is hard to tell what school is a good fit..

Simone...Thanks for the response. I am in India.

I know that - Vithoulkas and Robin Murphy gives correspondence courses. Though they cover the subject in depth, I don't think they are valid in India for practice. I heard there an institution in Kerala offering course. Not sure, if that is valid.

Can anyone suggest me the institutions which offer a degree in Homeo with which I can do practice.

Regards.

Libra,

I did not mean home courses by Robin Murphy
or Vithoulkas. I was referring to some 'colleges'
in India offering Homeopathic education, but people
were fooled into thinking they would be certified in some
way and this was not the case and they lost money.

Here is a link to Homeopathy Medical Schools in India.
You should contact the CCRH or AYUSH to make
sure that degrees from any of these institutions are
recognized by the Indian Gov't.http://www.medindia.net/education/homeopathy_colleges.asp

Simon,

I think, to get admission into these colleges, EAMCET is compulsory....I can't write EAMCET test at this age. I am from engineering background.

Hi, I saw that there is no upper age limit for EAMCET,
however at your age, with your background maybe
they do exceptions to the rule if you inquire. Or
maybe someone reading here has more info. Good Luck.
