PCOS and trying to concieve

I am 21 years old and trying to concieve. i was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries 3 years ago.
i got my periods between 25 to 50 days, most often being 45-50 days after the previous.
every time i get my period it lasts 7-8 days and the entire period is normal.
its been a year now that we are trying to conceive but havent had luck.
ive been on metformin 1500mg a day and folic acid 800mcg since the past 5 months on the advice of a gynac, however i am considering homeopathic treatment for pcos as since childhood i have always been on homeopathic medicines except for antibiotics 2-3 times in the past 21 years.
i weigh 80 kgs and stand 5'4' high.
i would be extremely grateful if you could advice which homeopathic medicine(s) would help relief.

thanking you in advance

Thankyou for your quick respond to my post. i am extremely touched as this matter is keeping me upset most of the time. i have answered the following questions to the best of my knowledge.

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experience and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering? State the correct location.

Ans. my main complaint is that i suffer from polycystic ovaries

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

Ans. i do not get my periods regularly. the gap between 2 periods varies from 28 days to 50 days generally. my right breast areola is slightly larger than my left.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

Ans. i have sudden mood swings thinking about my pcos. i feel like sitting alone, with no one around me. maybe this could lead to my physical complaint.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? Describe the sensation in your own words.

Ans. as for the delayed and irregular periods, i do not have a complaint about feeling any discomfort or sensation. as a matter of fact, i do not feel uneasy or unwell as a result of the polycystic ovaries leading to anovulation and delayed periods.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

Ans. i was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries 3 years ago when i was trying to reduce weight and felt it was extremely difficult. i was tested for sugar and insulin resistance, and yes, i was insulin resistant. this was explained as the reason why losing weight was so difficult. so 3 years since i have known to have pcos.i was 13 years of age when i first got my periods.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

Ans. if i happen to be at my worst, it is generally after late evening to midnight, but it is not often.

7. What are the things that aggravate your suffering and those that ameliorate the same? Example: time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing etc.

Ans. consumption of milk increases the cysts in my ovaries and my periods get even more delayed.

8. Do you think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

Ans. yes, my suffering has a direct relationship to my periods.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?

Ans. i feel best in cold weather.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
Weeping, talking to one self etc?
- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

Ans. as a person i am moody, easily offended at times, have strong feelings towards people which are difficult to change, i am quiet in front of new people and an introvert, i always want to seek attention and hate seeing others get more attention than me.

- before a thunderstorm i feel extremely excited as i love the rains
- i like being consoled by my loved ones; my husband, parents, brother
-i am sensitive to smell and noise, however light does not really affect me.
-i have a habit of biting my nails uncontrollably. i have had this habit ever since i remember being a child. all possible means to keep me away from nailbiting have been tried, including applying bitex (the bitter transparent liquid), but i manage to bite even after that.
-i am very close to my family members including my parents, brother, mother's sisters and a few cousins too. i have a few close friends and i am quite comfortable and open with them. my husband is someone i cannot live without. even during the day when he is away at work, i miss him. a night without him feels endless. i love him truly and he cares for me. he cannot see me upset. however there are times when i feel upset due to him being uncontactable when out of station, and him not answering phone calls.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?

Ans. i have a fear of sharks being in my swimming pool, a fear of being pulled into the sea with the current, a fear of talking in front of a crowd, and a fear of being wrong and unaccepted, therefore i sometimes avoid such situations where acceptance is required.

12. What do you crave in food items and what are your aversions?

Ans. i sometimes have cravings for chocolate or dairy products like cake, cheese and cream. i have been off dairy products including milk, cheese, butter, cream, gelatin and pure ghee since 4 years as consumption of these increase the cysts in my ovaries, however sometimes due to cravings i cannot control myself.
my aversions include capsicums, onions, eggplant, mustard seeds and jackfruit.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?

my thirst for water is less

14. How is your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?

Ans. my hunger varies from time to time, however it is moderate, i feel it is normal.

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?

Ans.dairy products, including milk, cheese, butter, ghee, cream, gelatin etc. as stated preciously.

Ans. my sweat is normal, and i sweat most in my underarms followed by my back and neck

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?

Ans. my bowel movements are regular, once a day, but the time varies. my stool type is also normal

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?

Ans. most of the night i sleep undisturbed, however sometimes due to sound i may wake up , or due to a dream and as a result feel restless for some time, but i would fall asleep again, undisturbed until my morning alarm rings.

Ans. yes

20. Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? How are you different from others?

Ans. i do not have an strange, peculiar or unusual symptom. i feel i am different from others because as my husband states, he hasn't met anyone as caring before, who puts another person (him) in priority to herself.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

Ans. i have been taking 1500mg of metformin daily and 800 mcg of folic acid daily since the past 5 months. i do not have any symptom surfacing from this medication.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?

Ans. my grandfather (mother's father) is diabetic, my mother's sister hasnt been able to concieve since 18 years and i suffer a few common symptoms as her which worries me.

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.

Ans. i stand 5'4' tall and weigh 80 kgs.
i have long, dry and thin hair. i do not have acne or any extra facial hair. i have normal skin and am quite fair.
a few measurements...
bust- 39'
waist- 36'
hip- 44'
i have an oval-round face. and i am overweight according to the bmi.

(For Females)
24. If your menstrual cycles are not normal, please describe the irregularities, like pains, moods, flow type, clots etc.

Ans. my menstrual cycles are irregular. during my periods i have blood clots and a normal flow that lasts from say1-5, day 6 is brownish and day 7 is very little bleeding, by day 8 i am clear. i do not have any pains aside from a slight cramping for a few hours once i get my periods on day 1 and 2.

25. What major diseases have you had in your life and when. Please write them in a chronological manner.

Ans. i have had chickenpox when i was 7 years old
6 months ago, my beta hgc was positive with a count of 581 which did not increase. i was operated after a laparoscopy being suspected a tubal pregnancy as uterus was clear in the ultraound. however through laparoscopic procedure it was verified that the tube was clear, but my ovaries were classic polycystic and 2-3 large cysts were drilled. also, the ovaries / uterus was cleaned and the stuff removed was sent for lab testing to check what it contained, but reports suggested that the sample was clear. after a week i was tested for beta hcg again and it was back to 2(normal). the hosital report stated a missed miscarriage.
however, i am confused and dont know what this entire rise in beta hcg was caused by, as i read in certain areas that sometimes there are cysts that may lead to an increased hcg count, and a positive count doesnt always mean pregancy.

if there is any more information that i could provide you with for a better and holistic understanding of my situation, i would be most pleased to.

i feel homeopathic medicine is what can help best in this situation, therefore seeking your quick response.

thankyou:)

I feel strongly that your homeopathic constitution is PULSATILLA.

This remedy will help you at all fronts if you respond to it.

Please take two doses of PULSATILLA 200C early in the morning half an hour apart in empty stomach on a weekend and then go back to sleep for another 2 hours.

One dose would be 3 drops of the remedy in 10 ml of water slowly sipped up in clean mouth and empty stomach.

If your thirst returns, sleep becomes more refreshing and there's a feeling of wellness, you know you will respond physically to this remedy.

Come back and report to me after a week. Note that this is a test dose and not the full treatment. You may have to take several doses in intervals to finally become fertile.

Btw, did ur hubby undergo sperm count and motility tests to make sure its you who needs the treatment?

i will take the doses of pulstilla this weekend and report back to you in a week... however, what exactly would u like me to report to you?

yes my hubby did undergo all the required tests, and it is me who requires the treatment...

i look forward to see the results rely soon!

thankyou so much!

also, i was wondering, along with the dose of pulsatilla is there any food pattern, or food to avoid which would compliment the treatment?

everythingelse93 last decade
Please go through my post where I have asked you to observe changes in you after taking the dose...like thirst level, sleep etc.

If you respond, this remedy will be continued as a constitutional treatment. Gradually, your periods may get normal and your fertility would be higher.

Please don't go for any allopathic medication during the course of this treatment. Also, stop taking coffee, peppermint, excess sweets, excess salts etc.

Have bland diet that doesn't contain any of the aromatic substances in excess.

okay i will definitely do so...
as for allopathic, i have been on glucophage 1500 mg daily and folic acid 800 mcg daily... it is a 6 month course of which 25 days remain. so should i stop these medicines too?

everythingelse93 last decade
No, finish your course and then start this homeopathic treatment. If you have waited for so long, I guess you can wait for one month more. But what is more important is the true response of your vital forces to the remedy.

rishimba last decade
okay i will do just that :)
i will start this treatment right after my 6 month course ends and get back to you for further guidance

thankyou so much!!

can i be in touch with you over email?

Best wishes.
