Hi Joe, my son has had silent reflux since 2weeks old, not really treated with medication and has been pretty subtle till around the age of 4 months. At 4 months he started refusing to nurse or bottle feed, unless wI took him into a dark quiet room with noone around. Even then he'd need to be sleepy to take the breast or bottle. Lately, he started refusing the bottle and will only take breast even when sleepy. His weight gain slowed down where he only gained 0.5ozs in a month. He's now 5.5 months old and about 16 lbs and 26.75 inches. He has a lot of interest in solids so we started him on oatmeal cereal and baby purees around 4 months, since we were so concerned with him not eating anything. I took him to multiple pediatricians and a GI specialist. Everyone says he seems happy and doesn't need any upper gi exams etc. Right now he is on zantac for 1ml, twice a day. It helped a bit in the beginning but no effect now I believe. His nose is also always congested, and it gets more congested if we suction him. Can I try to use Nat Phos 6X therapy on him? If so, what dosage Nd how often? Also could you recommend anything for his comgestion? Or it could improve by treating his reflux? He doesn't spit up much but has frequent burps during feeding and willpull off every minute and arch his back. I nurse him or give him a bottle of breastmilk that I pumped. But with him not wanting to eat, my supply has been dropping and I'm going back to work in January with no time to pump. Could you suggest a suitable formula? We tried spacing out his feeds as the GI suggested and not feeding when sleepy, but he will go over 6 hra without anything to eat or drink, so we dropped that method. It seems he really associates pain with eating. Thank you for your help in advance!

Hi,

if you want to talk to Joe, it is best to contact him on his
own site, http://www.joedelivera.com, bc he is not on the forum very often.
