Menstrual Migraines 10

What treatment for Menstrual Migraines?

I am a 44 yr-old woman nad I have been suffering from migraines since at least the last 6-8 years now.

They are related to my cycle as I have them every month, either around my menstruation or sometimes my ovulation.

The pain lasts for 3 days and mostly situated on the left side although sometimes it changes side either during the 3 days or the next month.

I sometimes experience slight nausea but what I do always eperience is thirst and I feel completely drained with no energy.

When the migraine is really severe, I cannot bear any sound or light.

I am not fond of taking regular medication such as paracetamol or ibuprofenalthough I have tried this in the past but with no relief whatsoever!

I am someone with a peaceful character, I don't stress quickly and live as much as possible in the Now.

I love the sun and warmth and dislike cold humid weather.

I eat very little meat and love vegetables and fruits, nuts and chocolate.

With regard to events in my life I have travelled a lot with my parents who were expats. This has led to me feeling lost not knowing where my 'home' was. This has been one of the reasons I had a chronic fatigue lasting for 6 years which has really helped me to do a massive introspection on myself and through the large amounts of online research I have learned a lot about the body mind and soul. It has changed me radically on those three levels and has given me the peaceful state of mind today.

The only thing that really bothers me are the migraines. If anyone could give me any suggestions I woill be very grateful!

Dear Zady101,

Sorry for the delay in responding but I have been travelling for the festive holidays.

I have tried to answer the questions as fully as possible. The link you gave pointed to someone's answers and some of the questions didn't appear or it wasn't clear what the original question was.

Here are my answers:

1. Name: Milna
2. Age: 44
3. Sex: female
4. Married, mother of 2 boys aged 14 & 11
5. weight: 52 kg
6. Height: …. 1.64m
7. Country: France
8. Climate: humid & cold in winters, warm and mostly dry in summer
9. List of your complaints:
migraines which occur on a monthly basis since at least the last 6-8 years.
They are related to my cycle as I have them every month, either around my menstruation or sometimes my ovulation.
The pain lasts for 3 days and mostly situated on the left side although sometimes it changes side either during the 3 days or the next month. The pain may extend all the way to the neck.
It may also start out as a pain stretching over the forehead and behind the eyes.
There seems to be a cyclical nature to the intensity of the pain over the 3-day period in which I notice a peak where the pain is the strongest. This usually appears 12 hours after the onset.
When the pain is severe I sometimes experience slight nausea (no vomitting however) and I cannot bear any light or sound.
The migraine is always accompagnied with thirst and a feeling of being completely drained with no energy.

10. Since how long are you suffering from each complaint: 6-8 years

11. I am non-diabetic
12. Desire: chocolate
13. Thirst: Only really present during migraines, otherwise thirst is present when I do not drink enough
14. Tongue and Taste: normal pinkish colour, no white or yellowish covering on it.
15. ???

16. See my previous posting

17. How do you feel? I feel good otherwise, the only issue are these recurrent migraines (for more details see question 9)
18. How does this affect you? I just accept it and live my way through it. (see question 9)

19. How does it feel like? See question 9

20. What comes to your mind?

21. One situation that had a
big effect on you?
I had a chronic Fatigue lasting for about 6 yrs. This was a very hard period in my life when I went through it but looking back on it now I have come out so completely changed in several positive ways. As a result of this I did a massive introspection on myself physically and mentally. I learned a lot on how the body functions & how to heal the body in a natural way. In addition I also started to become interested in the spiritual side of life and how we came here & why we are here.

22. How did that feel like? I was tired constantly and every daily task was a mountain to me.

23. What sensation do you experience in that situation? A very deep feeling of tiredness with other symptoms such as muscle stiffness, backache and a heavy foggy feeling in the head.

24.

25. Current and previous remedies/medicines you are taking or took in the past? No regular medicine, neither in the past.

Homeopathy: I have been seeing a homeopathic / naturopathic doctor, Dr. Hans Reijnen) in Holland who has tremendously helped me with my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. He has given me numerous homepathic treatments to get rid of my post vaccination syndrome and has used bioresonance therapy equally to neutralize the vaccines and other disturbing causes in my body. He had discovered that these were one of the main causes that had impaired my immune system and caused my body to react the way it did. Because of my extensive travelling as a child with expat parents I had received numerous vaccines. He treated them all with potencies starting at 30K / 200K / 1000K / 10 000 K etc …

(For more info on the exact treatment protocol Dr. 'Reijnen used you may type Hans Reijnen BNS-therapy' in Google)

(For more info on the vaccination syndrome treatment type 'Tinus Smits Post-vaccination syndrome' in Google)

26. Family Background: Father & Mother and 1 younger brother. I have had no real family issues in my life.
27. Educational Qualifications of the patient: I have a Ba in Business administration. I have always taken my schoolwork & studies seriously and had good grades. I did have fear of failing and therefore studied hard to avoid this. This is partly due to the fact that my father is quite a perfectionist.

28. Nature of work, what do you do for living?
I am currently without work for over a year and am hoping to find work soon. I used to work as an english teacher at primary schools and absolutely loved to work with the children. Parallel to this I work as a voluntary translator for spiritual messages and texts which I post on blogs which I have created. I do this with an international team worldwide.

29. Desires, likes and dislikes for food: Desire for chocolate from time to time. If not, I like almost all foods although the last 3 years I have started to eat less & less meat naturally. I do still eat some fish and shellfish from time to time. I enjoy eating vegetables and fruit.

30. Name of foods which increase your problem: I am not aware of certain foods increasing my migraines.

31. Mind: I used to be quite a shy person and very unsure about myself (puberty age). I was very attached to my parents, especially my mother. As I have a perfectionist father I obliged myself to do numerous tasks around the house to have everything spick and span and I was stressed for every little situation that I would be faced with.
This all completely changed after my CFS (Chron. Fatigue) and I am now happy to say that I feel very good about myself and the shyness has completely disappeared. I no longer stress out and I do what I feel like without putting myself under pressure. I ma very relaxed overall.

32. Aggravation: The migraine has a cyclic nature to it which seems to peak at around 12 hours after the onset and then gets less or almost dissappears. Teh next day it may come up again put is mostly less intense. This peak may appear during the night or during the day.

Amelioration (Decreases): I haven't found anything to lessen it

33. Attached here your photographs of the affected area. (if required/optional)

34. Location of the disease: Head
35. Side of the problem (Right or Left): see quesrion 9

With all my gratitude

1) How and when did Chronic Fatigue happen? What was happening at that time?

The onset of my CF happened from one day onto the other . It happened in Sept 2004. I just felt the fatigue come up one day and had a very heavy sensation in my upper legs. In addition the strange aches in my head that changed place every now and then.
Nothing particular happened at that time except for the fact that my second child started school. I do however believe that my prevailing years had something to do with my CF. (see following question)

2) Have you been in a difficult relationship, where you felt hurt? When did this actually happen? What was the impact on you?
An accumulation of feelings of having many house chores, taking care of the children etc … to do by myself. I felt a great lack of support from my husband. This in turn put quite some stress on me as I was a perfectionist at that time and obliged myself to get a certain amount of housework done per day. I was thinking of everyone else in the household, except about myself. I placed myself as “last”.

3) a) Do you have dry mouth and lips?
I do sometimes have a dry sensation in the mouth and don't always necessarily drink water then. My lips aren't really dry though.
b) Do you have a dry lower lip and also cracked in the middle? No

4) Are you able to satisfy your sexual desires? Are you able to enjoy sex?
I would say that this situation can be improved

Sepia 30C
Dissolve 2 drops in 3 tablespoons water in a disposable cup. Stir a few times using a spoon. Take 1st tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 2nd tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 3rd and last tablespoon.

Only only, no repeat.

Thanks so much for your time looking into this matter of mine.
Can you tell me when I need to take this? ASAP or just before/after menstruation? Or at the onset of the migraine?

Is it ok if a metal spoon is used?

Here in France they sell the homeopathy in the form of granules. These can be dissolved equally in water. How many do I dissolve in my case? Just 1?

With all my gratitude and I'll keep you posted of the results

Now:
Sepia 30C
Dissolve 5 pills in 3 tablespoons water in a disposable cup. Stir a few times using a spoon. Take 1st tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 2nd tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 3rd and last tablespoon.

You will update me after 1 wk. Then we will decide on repetition.

At the onset of migraine:

Bryonia 30C
Buy a small mineral or spring water bottle, around 250 ml in size. Normally you will find it in a convenience store marketed as a kid's mineral water or something.

Empty 25% of water, so that bottle has 75% of water left.

Pour 2 drops/5 pills of the remedy in the bottle. Let them dissolve on their own.

Give the bottle 8 hard hits; this is done by holding the bottle in your right hand and hitting the bottom of the bottle against your left hand 8 times. Take out one capful of water and drink. This is one dose.

Take a dose every 2 hours in a day for a total 3 times (3 doses). After 3 doses take as and when required only during the period migraine is there.

Thanks so much Zady101!!!

I'll let you know how I am doing this month.

SoulBody last decade
Dear Zady101,

I'm letting you know how the treatment went. I have just had my menstruation and felt the migraine come up again. I have thus followed your advice with the Bryonia and I must say that it really helped.

I have only had a slight presence of the migraine now and then, but not the full blown pain as I usually have.

I am so grateful to you!

I'll see what will happen around my ovulation as I sometimes have the migraines at that phase of my cycle too.

Thanks so much!

How many times did you take Sepia?

Zady101 last decade
I took sepia only once as you suggested. This was right at the beginning of my cycle:

Pls repeat sepia once again and update me after 5 days

Zady101 last decade
Ok, I will.
I must add that I am currently having slightly more intense pains than what I just mentioned in my previous post.

SoulBody last decade
Just want to let you know that since yesterday I am experiencing pains, this time more concentrated behind the right eye and right top of the head.

I have taken Sepia yesterday and have prepared the bryonia which I am taking every 15 min.
The intensity is less than usual .

Ok, don't take byronia too much. I will analyze and come back to you within few hours.

Sanguinaria 30C

Dissolve 2 drops/5 pills in 3 tablespoons water in a disposable cup. Stir a few times using a spoon. Take 1st tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 2nd tablespoon, wait 15 mins, take 3rd and last tablespoon

Zady101 last decade
Thanks Zady101,

My pains have subsided now and will most probably come back next month only.

I have not been able to buy the sanguinaria yet. Shall I still buy it and take it even though the headache has passed?

What procedure should I follow in the meantime untill the next menstrual flow starts again?

Thanks so much for all your time, help and advice. I appreciate it deeply.
