gagging

My child (4 yrs. old) has a gagging problem. Every time he sees a food he doesn't like or doesn't want to eat or after he has eaten half his meal, he gags. He doesn't vomit. Just has the gagging sensation.
I have started giving him Ipecac30 and seems to be working. How long should I give it to him and how many times a day to cure him completely?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If you think the remedy is right, give only two doses, 12 hrs apart and then wait to see the effect.

Its not like allpathic medicine to continue giving.

Only repeat the dose if the improvement stops or reversal of symptoms occurs after improvement.
