Cough at night

My son 4 yrs. old coughs at night between 3 to 4am everyday. It is dry cough. I gave him Ars Alb 30x and his coughing stopped. Can I give it to him for a few days in the morning and night before sleep to stop his coughing? or can it cause any harm if given continuously.

Repeat the dose only if the cough returns.

he coughed again during the day (dry cough)..gave him ars alb 30x but the cough did not stop completely...he coughs every 15/20 minutes (dry cough)...should I give something else or repeat ars alb 30x

I can't advise without knowing if the remedy is right even. Who chose Ars and based on what symptoms?
