Friend with ileostomy and many other health problems
Hi. I have a good friend who has many health problems due to the removal of eared colon many years ago. As a result, she wears an ileostomy bag. Since the removal of her colon, she has developed severe edema (elephantitis), diabetes the doctors refer to as 'uncontrolled', fibromylalgia, arthritis, and severe SEVERE depression and mania. She is on many different medicines for all these different ailments. Would homeopathy be an option for her considering she is actually missing a body part, and is taking a sleu of pharmaceutical meds? She is pretty desperate, and I'd like to post her case here, but wanted to first find out if you all think homeopathy would work for her?Thank you

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You can post her case here in the questionnaire. She has nothing to lose. If the recommended remedy doesn't create any response in her, she can go back to allopathy.
It will be difficult to differentiate her original disease symptoms from the side effects of drugs she is taking. What is required while filling in the questionnaire is to state only those that she experiences when she is not on medication.

Thanks for your response. Where can I find the questionairre? Also, in order for the remedy to act, will she need or discontinue her meds, or is that something she can do gradually over time. She is on a ton of meds that I know would be detrimental if she just quit cold turkey.

Such cases are really difficult to cure. It will ideally be a gradual transition to homeopathy by continually reducing the allopathic dosage and watching the response of the patient.
In case the patient doesn't respond or relapses into his earlier state, homeopathy needs to be haulted and allopathy renewed.
Its best you see an experienced homeopath who has experience in curing similar cases.
Out here, we can just suggest remedies but cannot effectively monitor any patient's condition.

She would love to see a professional homeopath, but she is unfortunately really poor. :( she barely gets by each month. That's why I thought maybe she could at least get some relief, maybe just from her extreme depression, of some kind from the advice given on this site. I feel so sorry for her. She cries and is in a panic just about every day. She's an older woman, around 64, and I just hate that she is suffering like this.
