Non-Hodgekin's Lymphoma

My father (Age -75) was diagnosed and operated for Hydrocele in April'13. During this, doctor found that it was related to Non-Hodgkin lymphoma - Testicular Tumor and his right side testis was removed. Then we did the respected tests - Pet Scan and Bone Marrow Biopsy/Aspiration. Bone Marrow Biopsy and Aspiration reports were normal and Pet Scan report confirmed that it was Non-Hodgkin lymphoma of diffuse large B-cells phenotype.

We got the couple of opinions from the Oncologists and they suggested chemotherapy treatment. Considering his age, we decided to approach the Homeopathic Doctor. My father took his treatment from May'13 to till date. During this period his overall health has improved gradually (Mainly with respect to appetite, Knee pain, weakness ect.). But, recently in Nov'13 he complained about the slight pain in right side of his abdomen. Again in mid Dec'13 he complained of the same and felt slight swelling. So we did his sonography, CT scan and Pet scan. The findings of the reports mention that - ' A large mixed echogenic mass lesion of 24*8.5*7 cms with illdefined margins is seen in the right half of the abdomen, extending from right hypochondriac region to the pelvis.'

After this our doctor changed his treatment but in Jan '14 he again complained of the acidity, weakness and pilesproblem. so we again did his sonography in Feb'14 recently and found that the size has increased considerably - 24*15*10 cms.

We took second opinion in Homeopathy and came to know that we didnot receive the correct treatment earlier and the disease couldnot be controlled. The doctor has told us clearly that it is not curable now and the patient will start suffering from stomach problems, problem while passing stool and urine and some other problems too.

We would like to take your advice in this case. Can you please guide us with respect to his further treatment? We are hoping for better quality of his life and prolonged results of the treatment.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please continue the treatment with the first doctor. The second doctor is misleading you and creating panic. It is wrong to say that your father didn't receive the correct treatment. After all each physician is a human being and has his limitations.
