unbearable period pain

I'm 23 and go through unbearable period pain each month. I get regular periods every 29-30 days and have for about 5-6 days.

I get the pain either on the first or the second day (sometimes both) and even the pain killers wont help much. When I get the pain it stays for about 2-3 hours and at the peak I feel so drowsy and faintish and end up vomiting too.

The pain is so horrible that I can’t bear it. Most of the times I tend to stay home on my first day but it is not possible. I have consulted ginos several times and have done scans (external) few times, but all of those have been positive results and I have no issue.

I just want to know why I have to suffer every month if everything is normal in me?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I think you should take "chamomila 30" thrice a day. start the medicine 3 days before the periods, and stop when the periods start.

I have treated this problem of period pain with Mag Phos successfully.

The remedy is best used 3 days before the period in the 30c potency to ensure that the pain is controlled. Dosage 2 globules twice daily

The intense pain during the period is controlled with the 200c potency. Dosage 2 globules three times daily.

Exercise during the rest of the month is also recommended as this too helps.

Magnesium phos is a wonderful medicine for dysmenorrhoea, the other medicine wich gives much benefit is XANTHOXYLUM in tincture form, the dose is 10 drops thrice daily during period and 5 drops once only on other days till cure, you better consult your lady doctor to rule out any mechanical cause, which is necessary.

mag phos is helpful if the periods are regular, and painful, but remember mag phos always produce scanty flow.
If there is dysmenorrhoea, and the menses flow is normal, the remedy is chamomila,
however you can try mag phos,if it does not work ,think about chamomila.

Thanks for all the rapid replies from all of you.
I'm not so familiar with the medical terms, does Ponstan falls in to any of the above mentioned categories cos I have been prescribed to use 2 pills of Ponstan 3 times a day for the first three days. But this didn’t reduce the pain much and I'm sick of taking pills now. I'm bit concern about the after effects that can cause by taking all these pain killers.

I would like to try out the exercises mentioned by Joe. Could you be kind enough to let me know what these exercises are.

also you can take carraway tea (bruise app. 1tsp of seeds and pour hot water on. leave for 10 mins to brew (you can cover to keep warm), then strain) - take small sips when you drink this. this is a great help with the cramps.

Miss/Mrs. Portia,
You are advised to use Mag.Carb 30 three time a day while suffering from period-pain at it's severity, otherwise, a single dose of it is quite sufficient for this trouble. In case of vomiting you ought to use Cocculus Indicus 3o.
