White patches on skin

Hi I was worried becuase i have had white patches on my skin since the end of summertime. At the beginning of summer I would notice this spots come out after I would tan with lotion but after a few hours they would fade away. Then all of a sudden these patches came out and stayed and actually got bigger. The biggest patch which is located on my arm is red but all the others are white spots about the size of a nickle. Just recently my girlfriend has started to get these spots to on her face and stomsch. My spots are located on my arms stomach and back and i just notice one on my cheek. Im guessing that i transmitted this to my girlfriend. Does anyone have any suggestions about what this could be and how to treat this.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You are advised to consult an MD to verify what your ailment is.

If it is Vitiligo also known as Leucoderma please report back and I shall indicate the remedy that I have recommended for this ailment.

Hi this is beeble and i just wanted to say that i have been to the doctor and he told me that he thought it was versicolor but after an oral antifungal tabalet and fungal cream i have seen no improvement. I started to look in to the possibility of vitiligo but when my girlfriend started to get these dots i ruled that out. Because from what i read vitiligo is not transmittable. Also i have no loss of pigment around my mouth or eyes. Anyways i have set up an apointment with a dermatolodist but that is still months away i will let you know the results.
