The ABC Homeopathy Forum
General Question
1.Some Homeopaths give globules which are prepared byputting liquid dilution drops,
for example a dram for one week is prepared by adding
5-6 drops.
Thus the patient consumes near about one drop daily.
2.Some Homeopaths advice to take 2-3 drops, three times
daily of the same potency
Thus the patient consume 5-6 drops daily which is equal
to the total of one week in above method
Which method is better and why there is a huge difference ?
Thanks !

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
A homeopathic remedy doesn't have pathologically significant medicinal substance in any dilution where potency exceeds 12C. So increasing the dose size won't make the remedy more effective.
If the remedy is repeated often it may create proving symptoms unnecessarily. Therefore it is better to stop the remedy after taking few doses and wait for the result.

The size of the dose is adjusted on the basis of the patient's reaction or sensitivity. There is no standard dose, it is individualised for each patient.
Some prescribers do not believe in the concept of a small dose being effective however, and will usually give far too large doses out of their lack of confidence in homoeopathy.
