sinusitis and cough

hopefully someone can help me with this aggravating condition. i have had sinusitis forever but it usually manifested as dried up mucus in my nose in the morning. i never had a clogged nose or anything just a lot of dried up boogies. but for the last month i have had thick, very sticky green discharge all day long with post nasal drip. i have had a cough with this as well that will not go away. i also have had an intermittent severe sore throat..not so much the throat is sore but the glands feel very swollen and it hurts very bad to swollow. when this happens i take a large dose of oregon grape root and the pain is gone by morning. this has happened about three times in the last two weeks. but nothing has gotten rid of this sinus infection, post nasal drip, and cough. many thanks to anyone who can assist.
