i have managed to get this information from the mans daughter , if something is missing let me know,,,,,
Age: 90 Date of Birth: 03-23-1926
Retired. Weight: 206 lbs as of March 25 2014.
Height: 5'10

1. Main suffering: Emphysema, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD), chronic bronchitis; thick, clear sticky intermittent yellow mucous with hacking coughs. Worse in mornings. As of March 25th 2014, breathing lung capacity down to 20% out of 45% .. as of 2010.

2). Other physical sufferings: Neck to Thoracic Back soreness, sudden urges to use the bathroom, incontinent episodes; edema in lower legs due to poor circulation; venous ulcer on outside edge of right foot. Size: about
1/2 to 1 inch in length. Current status of ulcer: maintaining.
Various aches and pains in joints, muscle weakness.. losing tone.

3) Mental Sufferings/Feelings?
Stress, (physical and mental), emotional eater, anxiety-- afraid legs won't hold up, cranky disposition, argumentive, needs to be in control, verbally abusive, fearful. I feel everyone and everything is against me.
Irritated that it takes forever to get bathed and dressed for the day.

4) What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
'Afraid I won't get enough air.'

5) In 2004, I was diagnosed with lung carcinosis . Went through chemotherapy and radiation. I have been free of lung carcinosis now since 2005. I was a heavy smoker for 50 years.

6) Which time of the day is worse for you?
When I wake up. This is when the hacking cough is worse.

7) What are the things that aggravate your suffering?
Weather fronts --cold, damp seem to put pressure on my ability to breathe. I get aggravated when I am under pressure to make doctor appointments. I lose track of time because I am concentrating in trying to do what I need to do to get myself bathed or dressed.
I feel no one understands what I am going through.

8) Do you think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli or internal changes in the body?
Yes! I am irritated that I can't do the things I was able to do two months ago, such as going downstairs into my basement to work in my office.. and listen to my radio. I can't use the stairs because of my legs. It's too hard on me. I feel that if only the temperatures would warm up, so I could sit outside in the sun, this would help my disposition.
I am aggravated that I have had intermittent episodes of incontinence.

9) When do you feel better.. during hot weather or cold weather?
I love the warm sunny days, but cold and humid weather about does me in.

10) Describe your general mental set up. Are you moody, arrogant, mild, agreeable, changeable, nervous, etc.
Susan's words: da is arrogant, moody, cranky, easily offended, arguing, irritating, manipulative, paranoid, suspicious, chauvenistic and in my secret personal opinion, he dislikes women in general. Yet, he can be kind and likes a good laugh. He tends to rattle on, and he loves to be the center of attention.
In da's words he would say: I try to get along with everybody, but I guess I tend to say things that offend other people. I don't understand.
What I accomplished in my life, my career, I didn't have anyone's help, but I had to do everything by myself!
-- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
Da: I love them! I used to sit on my front porch and watch the sky, the wind, etc.
-- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
Da: No. I wish everyone would just leave me alone. I don't like people
picking at me! They just feel sorry for me and I can't stand anyone's pity.
-- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light, etc?
Susan here: I would say not really to noise, smell.
Da would say: he is sensitive to light especially since he had cataracts removed from his eyes some years ago. He is very sensitive to direct light. 'All I can is white light. Maybe shapes. It comes and goes though, as other days, like if I'm outside, I can see pretty good.'
--Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, weeping, talking to oneself, etc?
Susan here: da talks to himself when he thinks no one can hear him,
has a tendency to rattle on, loves to talk about himself., but has little patience when listening to others.
-- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your wife?
Susan here: Da has a few friends, but no one really close. He has many friends from his work/career, and he is well thought of by his
colleagues. However, rarely does he have a friend stop by.
Da may say: 'I never had time for close friends! I was too busy working trying to put food on the table..'
Da held his parents on a pedestal. They could do no wrong, especially his mother.
Susan here: I always sensed my father did not like his wife's parents nor her family. He felt uncomfortable around them. He didn't come from
a large family, cousins were few. As for da's children, he would say and insist that he loves them! Even if he doesn't understand them..
Da would insist and would be offended if he was asked if he loved his wife.

11) What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
Da's greatest fear is death. he also says his fear is of being cold.... Not getting enough air, not having enough time to do what he still dreams about: writing another book, being able to weed and prepare the garden. Da has had anxiety dreams.. being late for a meeting, not meeting a deadline, etc.

12) What do you crave in foot items and what are your aversions?
Da loves anything dairy! Ice cream is the top of his list. Sweets.
Pies. Roast beef, potatoes and gravy. Traditional foods he grew up on.
He is suspicious of new foods he has never heard of. He doesn't really care for vegetables. He eats processed foods. Loves bacon. He prefers dry bland food, and dislikes spicey foods.

13) How is your thirst: less, normal or excessive?
Da is especially thirsty at night. Insists on having his water glasses filled throughout the night.. when possible.
Da: 'What's normal? I suppose my thirst is normal but..?'

14) How is your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Susan here: I would say excessive in that he thinks about food from the moment he wakes up. Once he's finished with breakfast, he wonders what to have for supper..
Da would probably agree with my comment.

15) Is there any kind of food which your body can't stand?
Spicey foods.

16) Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: head, trunk or limbs?
His head.
Susan here: the bed pillows often smell from excessive sweating.
(sebacceous glands).

17) How is your bowel movement and stool type?
It varies. Solid stools to runny. Sometimes, strong smelling, but not always.
Da: 'I get so mad.. at times, I finally make it to the bathroom and all I end up with is a gas bomb!'

18) How well do you sleep?
Da: Oh, it varies. I usually go to sleep around 9 pm.. I'll sleep for a few hours and then I'm up for an hour or so. Sometimes I'll wake up every two hours. Other times, I can sleep all night.
Particular posture of sleeping: On my back and on my right side.
Susan here: Da LOVES his sleep!

19) Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
Susan: My parents stopped sleeping together a long time ago..

20) Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptoms or feelings? How are you different from others?
Susan here: The other evening he made the comment that he felt 'uneasy', but he didn't know what it meant.

21) What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
Susan here: In 2010, my father was ordered by his medical doctor to begin day time oxygen therapy to strengthen his lungs. (breathing capacity). My father virtually ignored the doctor's orders. Eight months ago, at my suggestion, he began to intermittently use oxygen during the day, such as at meal times. A month ago, his pulmonary doctor told my father to use it throughout the day. So far, he's been following these orders.
A month ago, another doctor, a specialist in vascular medicine, prescribed a 4 mg nitroglycerine patch.. to wear on the top of his right foot. However, my father experienced 'shooting pains' and 'burning'.
He stopped using the patch and has not experienced the symptoms.

22) Major diseases in Family:
Diabetes I, carcinosis, tendency towards depression, addictive behaviors.

23) Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.
Da: 5'10 or so. Weight: 200 plus lbs? (Da has not been on a scale since last doctor visit of March 25 2014).
Long limbed bones. Moderately obese. Excess skin at tummy.
Highest body weight: 250 lbs.
Blond hair, now white, blue eyes.
Due to poor circulation in lower legs, feet have been cold to the touch and have taken on a reddish-purplish color. Finger tips tend to turn
blue-purple, but with a bit of massage of fingers, color soon returns.

24) What major 3 diseases have you had in your life and when?
Dangi Fever, similar to malaria, during time served in the Philipines during WW II, lung carcinosis (2004) as previously mentioned, currently
emphysema, etc., as earlier mentioned. Childhood diseases: measles, chicken pox.

This is a very clear case of LACHESIS MUTUS.

Please give him a single dose of LACHESIS MUTUS 200C on a single day first thing in the morning. The remedy shall be given in empty stomach and then he should go back to sleep for another two hours. No food, drinks or rinsing to be done for at least one hours after taking the dose.

One dose would be 3 drops of remedy in a tablespoon of water.

His daughter should wait and watch his condition, take notes and come back here after 15 days. Repetition of dose, if required, is to be done only after 3 to 4 weeks.

You are welcome! Your narrative, especially the description on his mental make-up made it easy for me to zero in on the remedy.

I would look forward to your feed-back on his response.

rishimba... his daughter is asking if she can use the pellets of lachesis 200c and if this will be ok,,, if it is ,,, how should she administer it so that he gets the equivalent of three drops of liquid,,, or is it better to buy the liquid form .. thank you

divinci 9 years ago
Give him two or three pellets as one dose. Ask him to place the pellets under his tongue and let them dissolve by themselves.

Tell him not to bite, crush or swallow the pellets. The longer the pellets stay in the mouth, better they will get absorbed.

Let him sleep for one hour after taking the dose.

very good , easy , thanks again xx

divinci 9 years ago
his daughter is asking if the drugs he is on will be an issue,, this is her comment

da's using warfarin or coumadin (blood thinner). i'm guessing lachesis mutus will not interfere with that. . i just am asking because i'm sort of paranoid, wondering.

divinci 9 years ago
Can he do without the drugs he is taking now? I guess not.

Now, if his daughter has decided to try out homeopathy, the only logical way would be to start with one dose of lachesis and if it brings about a perceivable response in his mind, the dosage of the drugs need to be reduced continually. Each dose of lachesis should be followed by a reduction in his dosage.

Its going to be a back and forth activity if a seamless transition has to be made towards homeopathy. Once he is weaned off the chemicals, he can stop homeopathy too.

Lachesis will not interfere with the chemicals but these chemicals will not help in producing the true response. So, we need to look at the mental symptoms to know if lachesis will work.

Hello, I am the daughter whose father we have inquired about.
The lachesis mutus 200 c arrived in the mail today.
I will start him on one dose tomorrow morning.

Thank you all for your kindness and help.. it is much appreciated!

I will keep you updated..

Please remember the remedy needs to be given to him in empty stomach. He should not eat, drink or rinse his mouth for the next one hour at least.

Only a single dose. Observe changes in his mental make-up and behavior. If the remedy works, his mental symptoms are going to change (calm down) first.

Hello,
I just administered the first
dose, under his tongue and told him to 'no chewing, just let it dissolve.'
My father was happy to rest for an hour..

have you noticed any subtle changes in his face colour or an even ness to his breathing or any other subtle changes yet?

Hello Rishimba,

This is the second day of giving my father lachesis mutus.
It seems that I have noticed a calmer 'undertone' to my father.
He is still somewhat grumpy on the surface, however.
This evening (Wednesday), while I was tending to his feet..
the foot ulcer on the outside edge of his right foot has closed over, yet a circle of white skin, while the reddish-purplish color on his left foot was greatly diminished. I was amazed!

Do I continue a 3rd day with the lachesis mutus or should I skip a day?

I await your kind reply.

:-)

susandanak 9 years ago
Susan,

You should not give any further dose.

Actually, I had suggested to give only one dose on a single day. Reading your post it seems that you have given two doses.

Now, that the response is seen, no other dose is required at least for three weeks.

Wait and watch his condition and share with us after 3 weeks.

Lachesis acts a bit late but continues to act for a longer time. One dose once a month will keep the healing process going.

rishimba 9 years ago
Let me tell you that giving doses in quick intervals may aggravate the condition. Dose has to be given looking at his condition.

I feel, you keep a note of changes happening on a weekly basis and when you see that his condition has entered a plateau or going backwards, give a dose the next day morning.

Hi Rishimba,

I had given him two doses, one on Tuesday and the second one was yesterday. I wasn't clear on only the one dose/month schedule.
I will do as you have suggested
and observe and take notes on
his behavior for the next three
weeks.

Thank you again for your help. :-)

My father's symptoms thus far:
wishes to sleep during the day,
restless at night,
petulant, complaining,
remorseful, grateful.
Thursday, April 24th, he complained his back was hurting, but this may have been due to a near fall he had on Wed., April 23rd.
This morning, April 25th, he
commented his stomach was hurting. He also commented he was awake all night. However I know he had slept for at least 4 hours.
His bowels work splendidly,
and the same for his urinary
too.
It is my feeling that once my father can get over this 'hump', this spell, his symptoms may subside to a more calmer accepting state.
So, these are his symptoms for the week of April 20-25th..

susandanak 9 years ago
Susan,

I understand you have, by mistake, given him two doses of 200C potency of Lachesis on two consecutive days.

This might have caused a bit of over-reaction in him. I feel, his worsened condition will soon get over and then he will feel better in the days to come.

If he felt his sleep was distured, it was most probably an aggravation.

This healing crisis will soon subside.

Keep me informed.

rishimba 9 years ago
Oh, bless you, Rishimba.. :-)
I will keep you informed.
Yes, I, by mistake, gave two
doses. I have marked on my calendar the next dose date
which is May 14th. I also have had the feeling that soon this
healing crisis will pass.
