6 week old with possible acid reflux!! HELP PLEASE
I have a 6wk 2 day old baby girl. She is 10lbs and about 20/21 inches long. She in my opinion is showing signs of acid reflux. Very irritable during and after feeding. I breast feed and supplement with formula ( have some hormone issues that is making my milk take longer to fully come in) she is vomiting sometimes a little and sometimes projectile a lot. Seems to be getting worse. Starts eating and the cries out at breast and nipple in pain and it's hard to get her to latch or finish her bottle. She arches her back and gets the hicups a lot. After she eats we can't lay her down or she vomits and chokes. She otherwise is a happy baby. Sleeps well does well in swing, during tummy time Etc. HELP PLEASEAschneider on 2014-04-19

Thank you fur the reply. Question:Is this CALCAREA PHOSPHORICA 30C for reflux or what is it used for? Also what's the dosage and how do I administer?

Yes, it will help her in overcoming reflux and ensure better digestion of milk.
One dose would be 2 drops of remedy mixed with a teaspoon of water. Give it to her when her stomach is empty. In case you want to feed her, do it after an hour of giving the remedy.

Ok I will try it. Thank you. I do have one more question. What is difference between Calcarea PHOSPHORICA 30C and Nat Phos 6x?? The reason I ask is because I have a friend that recommended I give my daughter that for her possible reflux but I thought best to ask in here first. So just wondering.

Also the only Calcarea PHOSPHORICA 30c I can find is in pill form. So how many pills is a dose?

I have just noticed that you have inquired about Nat Phos 6x which is a remedy I have pioneered in prescribing for Baby GERD which your baby is suffering from. I note that rishimba has taken your case and I do not normally interfere with a case that is being treated by another advisor but am doing so now as you have specifically inquired about Nat Phos 6x which is a remedy that will guarantee positive results in about 6 hours after the first dose.

I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD which I have prescribed to hundreds of babies and which I hope will help your baby too.
The remedy that has proved to be very effective for Baby GERD is:
Nat Phos 6x tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed. Start with half tablet but if the response is not as expected, you may increase to a full tablet but you will not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.
You may like to try to reduce the quantity of milk you give for each feed to enable baby's digestion to stabilize. You will however feed more often. It is essential that you burp baby immediately after each feed.
You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby.You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.
It is best not to vaccinate Baby till s/he is over a year old as the after effects in some cases can add to the problems with GERD.
Do not give Baby any solid food till s/he is over 8 months of age.
You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that Nat Phos 6x will help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.
Report progress in 24 hours and as often as you wish on this thread.
If you discover that baby does not respond to the Nat Phos 6x alone and this has occurred in a few cases, you will contact me again and I shall then prescribe another remedy to reinforce the action of Nat Phos 6x.
