To Sajjad: Update on husband and Nux

Hi, Sajjad,

It's taken me longer to get back and report the results since my one week trip turned into three weeks. Here is the progress so far with my husband and his Constitutional Nux 200 treatment. (In case you need to recall the case, go to: http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/40518/

He took the Nux as prescribed but I found out he only took it for three doses as he said he almost immediately felt much better in his mind and body. The only "effects" were shoulder pain and a minor headache that came on within a day of taking the first dose. They went away within 24 hours. After that, he said that he felt calmer and more focused than he has in years. When I talked to him on the phone when I was away, I could also note the change in his voice. There was more determination and less need toward anxiety. It has been nearly three weeks since he stopped taking the remedy and he still is doing quite well. Two days before I returned, he cleaned the house top to bottom (something he has never done before). He is also making major plans to renovate an upstairs office (something he has been putting off for almost 6 years) and is enthusiastic about life's prospects once again. There is not an edge of anxiety he says.

The only "downside" is that he still feels fairly deep fatigue in the evening. However, from my perspective, I'd have to say that the degree of fatigue is considerably better than even one month ago when he had zero drive or desire to do anything when he got home from the office.

Regarding the Caladium, it seems that it did NOT arrive in my shipment as I thought it did. Thus, I need to order it again.

One note of interest, my husband says that since he took the Nux, his desire to smoke and drink beer has increased, with smoking being the worse of this one. He says he feels his body's need for tobacco is overwhelming and wonders why this would occur on Nux. Any ideas?

All in all, I want to tell you that I feel as if I'm married to a brand new man. I am still a bit in awe of the positive changes in his mind and body. I have tried many nutritional and herbal approaches with him over the years and, while some have certainly worked to improve his general health and wellbeing, I can honestly say that I have never seen such a dramatic and profound change in him since he took the Nux 200C.

Thank you for your advice and counsel. Will keep you posted as things continue to progress.

JANE,
Thanks, you are back after 3 weeks.It means 21 days---504 hours----30240 minutes----1814400 seconds.It is too much.
I am pleased to know the wonderful affect of Nux vomica on your husband. If it is true then it is wonderful.
To get rid the habit of drinking alcohol and smoking.Use the following prescription.
Avena sativa tincture 30 drops and 10 drops of plantago major tincture atleast twice daily.I hope they will produce disgust for drinking and smoking.

Sajjad,

I have been giving him the avena tincture for many months as a nerve system nourisher. I will locate the plantago major and give the formula a try. Will this be a permanent disgust for drink and tobacco? Never heard of this combo for this problem. Did you discover it or it is one of those classic formulas?

Thanks so much, Sajjad.

Sajjad,

I have the plantago major tincture on order.

I forgot to mention that my husband has continued to drink coffee (usually one or two cups a day) but has avoided mint in all ways....that is until last night. Someone gave him some mint gum and he started chewing it before he remembered that mint can antidote the Nux remedy. He spit it out but is now concerned that he's "ruined" the remdy. He is SO sold on how the Nux has worked for him that he wants the effects to continue. I asked him if he feels any of the positive effects are slowing down and he says he still feels great.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jane

Sajjad,

Just found out that the plantago is plantago lancelota and not major. I know that in herbology they are interchangeable. Is this still okay?

It is plantago major that is required by your husband. If you are giving him avena sativa ,I dont know why it did not work.Plantago major and avena sativa combined are tested remedies for producing disgust of drinking and smoking. If your husband is serious to get rid of these habits, surly these medicines will help.
I gave you detail of 12 tissue salts.Have you tried them?

Sajjad,

Yes, I did do a fairly good round of the cell salts before I left on my trip. He seemed to react best to Kali Phos, Mag Phos, Calc Phos and Nat Sulph and those are the ones that I repertorized for him. I also reportized Nat Mur but it just didn't seem to have any discernable effect. I'd say of all of them, the Kali Phos and Mag Phos were the best of the bunch. Still, his strong addiction to tobacco and beer has just really ramped up since taking his first dose of Nux 200C. I gave him another dose of Nux 200C last night. It would be a full 21 days since his last dose. It seemed that some of his restlessness and bits of anxiety were coming back into the picture yesterday morning. From what I understand, when the symptoms start to reappear it's best to give another dose to reignite the energy of the remedy. It seems to have worked as he says he is feeling much better this morning and as though he's back on track.

I could only track down plantago minor (lancelota) and I think I'll at least give it a try. Yes, he has been taking the avena for months as a nerve nourisher. Funny thing is that all the remedies (herbal) that doctors and those knowledgable say are "tested" and work on others, tend NOT to make the same pronounced effect on him.. They may help the corners of the problem but they don't seem to address the core issues. That is why I am so impressed with the seeming "core" changes of Nux 200C. This is the first time I've ever seen my husband really look and act as if his core being has shifted upward and has the energy to continue forward. That's the best way I can describe it.

Hi, Sajjad,

I've been out of town briefly and busy with the prep with the holidays.

I gave my husband the avena and plantago as you directed. When I got the bottle, it turned out it was Plantago Major after all. Unfortunately, it has not done anything for his addictions to tobacco and beer.

On a good note, the Nux 200 has certainly continued to work beautifully. He took another dose last week as it seemed his vital force needed the kick. It was the right thing to do as it has tremendously helped his outlook on life. There were some minor aggravations in the beginning, but I knew enough that these were not serious and were just the remedy doing its thing.

Again, my husband is absolutely convinced that Nux 200 has made the greatest change in his life and outlook. He tells many people about the Nux and credits it with altering his negative thought process. Everything is not perfect (what is?) but there is so much more positive elements to report. The sleep problem (jolting and restless legs) has gotten better by about 20%. His ability to deal with stress has improved. It's just that the addictive nature really DOES seem to be stronger than ever before and nothing seems to touch it.

Thanku for your prompt reply am pleased to know that your husband is getting some benefit by the use of Nux Vomica.I think he should keep on using that.
It is very much astonishing that avena sativa and plantago failed to relieve his tobacco habit.I think you better try that again for some days and let us see the result.
thanks.sajjad.
