For Dr. Joe/ Cut, and pus 2 yr old

Dr. Joe:
My 2 year old son had a small cut under his left toe(The jount between the foot and the toe(The place where the tow bends). We did not notice it initially. When we saw it, the place has a yellow tip, and sorrounded by red area. It was hard and warm. I gave him arnica 30c, but did not help. The yellow spot has grown since then. Please recommend which remedy to give. If I go to alopathic doctor, it is going to be a sureshot case for antibiotic.
Thanks

I have just read your case addressed to me and note that deoshlok has advised you to use Hepar Sulph.

A cut in the skin under the toe is an excellent breeding ground for bacteria and if the Hepar S does not help you are advised to give your 2 year old an antibiotic like Amoxillin which you will have to get on prescription from a doctor. This is essential if he is running a temperature. Otherwise an antibiotic ointment like Polyfax or equivalent may be used before you use the antibiotic as the ointment can be put on a plaster which is bandaged over the toe to keep it from further infection.

One cannot take a risk with a 2 year old even though I am a Homeopath and would like to cure ailments with Homeopathic remedies.

Please give one dose of Silicea 200C, 3 pills as a dose. In 24 hours, you should see the yellow mass shrinking. Repeat the dose on as required basis. Report daily.

Keep the area clean with Dettol etc. and loosely covered.

Act immediately to arrest further pus formation. The yellow mass is pus.

Hi:

Thanks to all of you for help. I tried hep sulph. but it seems that it has aggravated the pus.I was putting Neosporin for last 2 days and did not help. The guy is limping a little. I have no other option, but to take him to the pediatrician.

Thanks

Glad to note that you have taken my advice.

You as the parent must know that there is a fine line between Homeopathy and Medicine and that Homeopathy cannot help one when it is a matter of an emergency like what your son is now in. If as I stated in my last post, he is having a temperature that can only mean that he will go from bad to worse very quickly unless he is treated with the antibiotic preferably Amoxillin immediately and I hope that your pediatrician will give you the prescription.
