Chin hair and body acne

10. Since how long are you suffering from each complaint

Little more than a decade.

11. Diabetic or no No, but borderline hypoglycemic

12. Desire sweets/sour/salt carbs, chocolate

14. Tongue and Taste musty/sour, slight cream-colored coating

15. Current BP (without medicine and with medicine) not sure of numbers but always checks out perfect.

16. What exactly is happening? I feel like my hormones have never really worked properly.

17. How do you feel? Usually tired and foggy/minded, stressed, impatient.

18. How does this affect you? Mostly, I just don't feel as pretty and feminine and sexy as I ought to. I am married and would like to present myself confidently to my spouse. Also, the tiredness/foggy headedness and impatience affects my parenting. I know I can be/do more if I could just get myself healthy.

19. How does it feel like? The chin hair is dark and fairly thick...almost like a man's whiskers, but not quite. The body acne is deep and scarring.

20. What comes to your mind? Hormone imbalance.

21. One situation that had a
big effect on you? The body acne started around the time of my first filling, which was amalgam, but also at the onset of puberty. My periods were debilitatingly painful and heavy. Today, they are lighter, not so painful but not completely symptom-free. My breasts have always seemed underdeveloped, though they have a nice/normal shape...just small and not as full. I also could not maintain my milk supply and had to put my babies on formula.

22. How did that feel like?
Like I was failing as a woman.

23. What sensation do you experience in that situation?
Sadness, even hopelessness.

24. What are you showing by that gesture of your hand (Habits or Actions)?
Frustration

25. Current medicines you are taking? Tylenol for headaches, various herbs

Nuclear family, religious, first world borderline poverty, poor American diet growing up.

27. Educational Qualifications of the patient

High school graduate, some college, self-taught

28. Nature of work, what do you do for living?
Stay at home, homeschooling mom, manager of family hobby farm.

29. Desires, likes and dislikes for food
After my 6th pregnancy (3rd living child) I started craving chocolate even though I hadn't eaten it in 10 years. Currently back on coffee after 20 years. I like carbs, but avoid eating processed carbs as much as possible.

30. Name of foods which increase your problem
Not sure.

31. Mind-behavior, anger, irritability, hurry, impatientÂ…and so on.. How are you different from other persons, public speaking or not , you can describe all of the details about your behavior, love and affections.

I have a fearful/worrisome personality that I am seriously working on. I rarely remember ever feeling joyful...not always depressed, but not ever really joyful. I have a hard time looking people in the eyes. I am very introverted, but I like one on one deep conversations with other. I can public speak well, but I am socially awkward and can slur/trip over my words.

32. Aggravation (increases-time, season,)& Amelioration (Decreases)

Seasonal Affective Disorder is getting worse every winter. I dread winter coming. I live in the North Eastern US.

34. Location of the disease

Chin, upper lip, between breasts for hair. Body acne on back and sometimes shoulders/upper arm. Also ingrown hair/acne like on back of thighs. Used to have it on my buttocks, but not anymore.

35. Side of the problem (Right or Left), (Upper or Lower part of body)
Chin hair worse on right side. Body acne, not really any difference from one side to other.

36. Color of the secretions/discharges e.g urine, stool, sputum, Saliva etc.

Body acne: usually bloody white to cream colored pus. Often dark purple looking beneath the skin. Urine: pale yellow. Stool: dark dark brown Saliva: clear Sputum: pale green/yellow (frequent sinus infections)

Didn't ask about diet. I eat as healthy as I can for what we can afford. I grow my own vegetables in season and forage. I greatly limit my sugar, processed food and carb intake. If I have dairy, it is full-fat dairy. I eat eggs with yolk. Since eating this diet, my acne has greatly improved. I did go on the SCD/GAPS diet, but my acne got significantly worse and my periods were unbearable. I currently eat a balanced omnivore diet.

I was recently diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency, b12 deficiency and borderline anemic, although I've always seemed to test out that way since I can remember.

I would like a homeopathic remedy(ies) that will address any possible hormone imbalance, reduce/eliminate the facial hair/body acne, improve my mood and if it increases my bust size or fullness even a little I'd be jumping for joy.

I also wanted to add that I am quite active, fairly fit (some stubborn belly fat/stretching out of skin from being pregnant 7 times and having 4 babies. I never made it to term with any of my babies and lost 3 to miscarriages. I wear a size 2/4 clothes and have a good waist to hip ratio. My hair and nails are thick and strong and grow quickly, but my skin seems to have a hard time regenerating. If I don't exfoliate nearly every day, I can scrape my nails on my skin and pick up lots of dead skin cells.

Do you have any ultrasound done yet? If yes then what was the report?

I had ultrasounds during pregnancies and no doctor ever said anything negative. My paps were normal, too. I haven't seen a GYN in 2 years. The one I want to see for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy doesn't take insurance and I can't afford the up front fee. The ones my insurance cover just prescribe birth control pills which just mess me up more.

Hi Cottage mama,

I assume you are correcting the Vit D, B vitamin deficiency now?

My opinion is that you are not metabolizing food efficiently- I suggest
you start with cell salts. Cell salts are a sub branch of homeopathy and
they are to correct cell metabolism- whether you have too little of
something or too much - they rebalance the the cells.

I would order BC-28 to start with. This is a Dr. Reckeweg brand and it
is all the cell salts ( there are 12) in one tablet. You can order this
brand from DKO Naturals which is a Canadian company and they ship
very fast to usa.

Take the BC-28 3 tabs under the tongue, three times a day for a week,
and then report back on what is going on. Cell salts are at Whole Foods,
and Vitamin Shoppe and Vitacost ( online) - Hylands brand- they are also called Dr. Schuessler salts and tissue salts.But for all of them at once, I like
the Dr. Reckeweg brand(German made) which you can only get from DKO.

Thank you, Simone. I will check out the cell salts and report. I figured I'm having absorption or some sort of metabolic issue since I eat a lot of foods high in iron, B-12 and D.

Usehomeopathy, I have many symptoms of PCOS, but have never been diagnosed. My ovaries and uterus all look good in the ultrasounds. It may be of helpful info that I have a pretty hearty sexual appetite, too. Several times of week is no problem for me. Every day...sure, why not? Twice a day? I'm game. And this is based on body response, not psychological/emotional/relational issues.

ETA: I bought the BC-28 online.

Well, it's certainly been more than a week on the cell salts! Oops! LOL! No change in body acne or chin hair other than any existing zits may be healing faster than usual. My period came and went during this time and flow may have been a little lighter, but PMS was significantly better. I was still bloaty, but my mood was better, and no week long headache.

I am continuing with the cell salts, but am curious as to what other homeopathic remedies I could use. A friend of mine is into homeopathy and herbalism and she thinks I should try maca.

HI-

Ok stop the cell salts for now. It is important to follow the dosing
schedule, as I said to take them for just one week. Cell salts are
mild, but you cannot do that with a remedy or you will overdose.

Please get Carbo Veg 200c. You can order it off this site or
google it and order.

Take 3 pills, dissolve in a quarter cup of water. One tsp. is a dose.
Take one dose. Do not have coffee on the day you do this or
the day after.

Report after one week what you notice.

Simone, I found carbo veg 200x at my local health store. I will do the dose tomorrow as you prescribed and report next Thursday.

please get the 200c. 200c , 200 , 200ck,
200ch are all the same thing.

Ok, I took the carbo veg 200c as you told me to and am reporting a week later (plus one day..got sidetracked). Not really sure what to report. Nothing seems to be any different but my body acne actually got a bit worse.

Getting worse may be an aggravation and that is a good thing.
With 200c we need to wait another few days-please report again
on 7-23 to evaluate again.

Body acne seems a bit better in the usual trouble zones. I currently have two acne spots on my side's at my bra line. Never had that before. I've had two similar, but separate reactions to something, though this past week. The first time, I ate a banana and immediately my right inner ear started hurting and my throat closed up tight (could still breathe, but difficulty swallowing, painful). It lasted about 18 hours. I ate a banana a day later and no reaction. Second time happened while I was eating my homemade zucchini bread. Same reaction, just on the left side.

Bloating a lot this PMS, but no headache. Feeling a bit tired and weak (the anemia). I am due to start menstrual flow this Friday.

Have you ever had a cold/flu/sore throat /ear infection in the past,
where you had swallowing difficulty?

If not, then the 200 was a bit too strong and it will wear off.
However, it is working still and we have to wait and see how long it has
action for.

I would like you to get Ferrum Phos 6x cell salts. Take 3 tabs 3 times a day
for the anemia.

Report back on how you are doing 4 days after you start the salts.

Re: the difficulty swallowing in the past....I don't recall, so likely not. I've had sore throats that hurt when swallowing, but not actually anything that took effort to swallow.

Ok, I will see if the local health store has your next prescription and start tomorrow. If not, I will order it.

Report: anemia seems better. I don't feel weak and exhausted anymore. I did break out a bit again, but the acne isn't deep cysts and heals faster. My period was lighter and more tolerable. My mood is still dark, though. But I feel more focused and driven. Sleeping more deeply, too.

I am frustrated and angry or sad and hopeless. They alternate. They are directed at circumstances in my life including unsatisfied sex life, ill spouse, mischievous toddler, responsibilities and past regrets (wish I went to college, did things differently) also religious angst as I work out my spirituality.

Our entire relationship...married 12 years. He used to refuse sex and even refused to give me climaxes for nearly 3 years. We fought and it has been better, but he refuses to give me oral and very rarely gives me manual sex. When he is ill he is too sick to have sex. He wants to but can't. I would describe our relationship as great friends...we have fun together and work very well together on projects, but romantically while he loves me and is attracted to me, it feels very selfish....all about what he wants and prefers rather than sacrificial.

What illness does your husband have?
Ulcerative colitis

3. What would you do if you if money was no object and you could do anything you wanted for 30 days?

I would spend some time alone some place peaceful, then spend some time with hubby doing something he'd love, then I'd treat the children to something fun, and then I'd work on our house and small farm.

4. If you went to college what would you study?

I'm a many irons in the fire sort of person. If I could go back to my teen years, I would have gone for voice and piano in order to teach voice lessons. But, today, I am looking in to becoming a massage therapist, or I'd study agricultural business.

5. What is the religious angst about? Do you have some sort of religious practice, meditation etc?

I grew up evangelical Christian, but while my foundation is solid (I do believe in Jesus and that he died on the cross for our sins and rose again) I feel like a lot of the do's and Don't's...gray areas, areas of different interpretations has me profoundly.confused and frustrated, like everything I learned isn't quite right. I'm mad at God for not.fixing things, I'm mad at my husband's lack of spiritual leadership. I want to go to church, but I don't like the road my current church is taking and I can't find a church I can fit into or find peers in. I pray, read the Bible, meditate (focused prayer and thought in a quiet peaceful state) and speak in tongues.

3. List the physical discomforts with it. It changes from month to month. I used to get a 2 week long headache, but since starting homeopathy, I don't get them anymore. I sometimes get light cramping, but I always seem to bloat, get anemia, and have a day or two of unfocused bitchiness.

Drinking lots of water. Extra sleep.

Poor diet, stress

I am currently taking Bulk Herb Store's Daily Boost Herbal Blend, but only when I make smoothies a few times a week. Eulethero root, hawthorne berries, bilberries, ginko, oatstraw, horsetail, Burdock. I like herbal teas of nettles, and st john's wort.

Normal

I was always the diplomatic, non confrontational people pleaser, but since getting into a relationship, it has maximized. As a child I wished I had the power to do or say something to change a situation and now as an adult I feel no.different. I feel like I have little say or control in my life and I obsess over what I wish I could change. I am poster girl for needing The Serenity Prayer. I don't like dealing with uncooperative people and I always feel like I am the one bending and my needs don't get heard or acknowledged. I feel like my needs are trumped by husband's wants.

11. What is your relationship with parents and siblings if any?

Good, but not particularly close. Both parents were physically there and gave hugs and stuff, but more deeply emotionally distant due to their own depressions. Strict upbringing. First world poor and often heard the word 'can't'. Dad had to have things his way. Mom worried about money. Repeating that in my own marriage.

Siblings, not very close, but not lacking in relationship, either. My sister (younger than I) still picks on me, but we get along well enough to pal around. But not BFF's.
