Chalazion in 14 month old

Hello,

My son has had a chalazion for over a month. I didn't treat it at first because the doctor said it was probably just irritated from him rubbing his eye a lot. Finally, about 3 weeks into it, after it had gotten larger and hardened, I took him back, and they diagnosed it a chalazion. I'm still waiting for a referral to an opthomologist, but I am afraid they will want to do surgery.

I've tried to do warm compresses as recommended but it is really difficult to do on a 14 month old. I also tried putting some aloe vera on it and that made it redder/purplish and it got kind of cracked/flaky on the top afterwards. I don't know if I should continue aloe vera or try something else. I also read about putting breast milk, which I thought about trying. Please help!

I found the staphisagria in the pill form, but could only find the silica in liquid form. Should I give him the recommended dosage of 1 tablespoon or should I give him less because he is a baby?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm very new to trying homeopathic remedies.

Thank you.

Thank you both for the replies. I started the treatment. Then, tonight while he was sleeping, the chalazion ruptured. I don't know if he rubbed it too much in his sleep or what, but he woke up crying and fussy and blood was coming out of it. I just tried to blot it with a damp cloth and clean it up the best I could. Not sure how to proceed now that it has popped. It looks like the swelling has gone down a little and there is a scab of dried blood in the center.

I just wanted to report back the results. The scab from when it ruptured has cleared up, but the chalazion is still there. It may have gone down in size slightly, but it is hard to tell. Should I continue the silica and staphysagria?

Pl continue the medicines for next one week, then we will review the case.

I have been giving him the silica and staphysagria every day. It looks like the chalazion might have reduced in size slightly. Should I continue with the same treatment? Thank you for your help!

If the medicines are showing further improvement then pl continue the same for next week and then give feedback
