8 month old with sleeping problems

I have an eight month old infant who until recently was sleeping quite well. For the past 2 weeks she has started waking up in the night every hour or so crying. Sometimes she can be settled back to sleep, other times she cant. she is extremely restless. The change in this problem coincides with her not being wrapped up anymore due to overheating. Also she had gained more mobility as she is close to crawling. She seems to crawl out of her covers and get up on all fours. She is still waking refreshed in the morning. She is very sensitive to the slightest noise, it awakens her. Any suggestions would be most appreciated

Could it be as simple as her teething?

Since she is waking up refreshed in the morning, could it not be due to sleeping too much during day? As a mother you should be able make good guesses. We should not take "refusing to sleep on certain days" as restlesness, as long as the child is apparently in good health.

new2town, yes it may be her teeth but she is not exhibiting any other signs of teething and on past experience her sleep has not been disturbed during teething. She is generally quite content during the day, although doesnt sleep much.

sahai, when I say she is refreshed in the morning, she is not grizzly, but it is obvious that within an hour of waking she is rubbing her eyes and starts to get grizzly, showing me that she is tired, whereas she would usually go 2 - 3 hours before needing a morning sleep. She is in good health, not vaccinated, and putting on weight. I definately dont think she is getting too much sleep during the day, often when she does sleep well during the day it seems to induce decent sleep patterns at night. Her temperament appears to be a highly wired but generally happy kid that needs stimulation almost constantly. Often she may respond to Chamomilla 30 but it doesnt hold, have tried 1M but didnt seem to do much. Gave her Lyc 30 this afternoon which seemed to make her less grizzly, but certainly didnt induce sleep. She is a hot blooded little darling and I believe has reached the age where she knows how to get our attention. If we carry her around long enough she will eventually surrender and fally asleep, but refuses to do so on her own. If we put her in her cot she will scream, as soon as we go to her she smiles and puts her arms up. We have made a rod for our own back, believing that if we catered to her every need for the first 6 months, she would be a well adjusted and not a needy insecure infant, how wrong we were. Thanks for your comments.

Chamomilla is for restlesness, diarrhoea, fever, starts at the slighest noise, moaning, redness of one cheek, worse at night etc. But all the symptoms may not be there unless at the puncture point the gum gets infected. But keep Cham.30C handy though for the present symptoms it is not required. Generally never give 1M. for acute cases.

Lyco is given for abdominal discomfort, bloating due to flatus, acidity, feeling of fulness after eating a little.
