Teenager unwell since failing exam - please help!

My cousin is sixteen years old and has recently failed a dancing exam, and it has profoundly upset her. She has been dancing since she was very small, and is very good at it. She drives herself really hard, and is always working towards something, a show or an exam - she loses interest if she does not have a goal to strive for. Then recently she had an exam where all her friends passed and she failed. On top of this, the examiners were in her words "really mean" to her and told her she wasn't any good.

Since then, she has been a withdrawn, but she usually says she's okay, until you ask her about her dancing and then the tears just roll down her face. It obviously upsets her but most of the time she just doesn't think about it. Now she is saying resolutely she won't take the test again, and we're all sad because dancing used to make her so happy.

Also since then her periods are messed up - they disappeared for a month, and then she bled for a fortnight. She isn't on the pill thank God! Another symptom is she has developed a lot of boils on her back, between her shoulderblades, but slightly to the left. Worse for pressure, a sharp pain, and full of white pus.

She is usually a very active person, cheerful, confident and mature for her age. She is always on the go and is very 'physical' - she says that activity makes her feel better and that sitting and thinking makes her worse. She is an 'early to bed, early to rise' person, and can be in bed by 8.30 and up at 5. She loves being outdoors and feels better in the fresh air. She even says she feels safer outdoors - she can be a bit afraid of the dark, but only in the house. She is also afraid of spiders and needles.

She really loves animals, especially horses and other farm animals. She gets on well with her family, is a good student and has always been well behaved. She doesn't drink, smoke or take drugs - she is a very strong minded person.

Last year, before a dancing show, suddenly her whole left side went numb and that sided of her face dropped as in Bells Palsy - she went to hospital, but recovered feeling and movement the same day. We still don't know what that was.

I am an amateur homeopath and I don't really like treating family, but I've had a go and am having difficulty prescribing. I think the main problem is a loss of confidence in herself and her abilities, and this has really shaken her. She has never failed anything before. I have considered Ignatia, Aurum and Argentum Nitricum, but I'm not sure.

Can anyone help? Many thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I forgot to mention one important thing. My cousin is incredibly competitive! But she is always fair and honest, and would never cheat.

I think it is stress related. Try ignatia 30, 2 pills 3 times a day for a few days and see if it helps.
