Hair loss medicine help , Dr Joe De Livera

Hi,

I m new to this forum and wondering if Dr Joe De Livera or someone can help me.

I m 36 and my hair started falling around the age of 19-20 when I joined college. They were falling a lot when in college and gradually slowed down. I still have hair with the gap on left and right and front. I m not sure if I m still losing my hair but I might be losing it slowly which is not noticeable in couple of months.

I was in India last month and I went to homeopathy doctor and he suggested me Acid Phosph 30 for 4 times a day and I bought Dr Wellman Arnica oil.

I m still taking the Acid Phos , I didn't get the chance to meet the Dr again so I m not sure how long I need to take it to see any improvement.
I m not sure if there is any improvement, there could be , as I said my hair was not falling or its not noticeable before or after.

but there is no new hair from the bald spots.

Could someone please advise me , should I keep taking acid phos ? Also what should be to grow new hair at bald spots. Is there any medicine for that ?

Thanks

Hi- do you have male pattern baldness in your family?

If so, this is genetic and there is nothing you can do for this, except hair transplants.

If this does not run in the family, and it is from some other cause, like
poor absorption of food, stress, etc then homeopathy can help you .

If the Acid Phos is doing nothing after this amount of time, do not take any
more of it, bc eventually you will have too much and begin having other
symptoms of that remedy that you never had in your life.

Don't think about using minoxidil or rogain or other products like that bc
they will lower your testosterone levels, which will lead to depression very
quickly and some people have to then, start taking testosterone hormones,
everyday.

No male pattern baldness doesn't run in family. My father and brothers havefull head of hair.

My confusion is I m not sure if Acid Phos is working. As I said I was not losing hair before I went to Doctor. How much time should I take Acid Phos to see any noticeable difference ? Is this medication also grows hair on bald spots ? If not Acid Phos than what would you suggest ?

Thanks

Did the Homeopath, take your case- and sit with you and
ask you lots of questions about your mental, emotional and
physical state?

This is what has to be done. If the hairloss is due to some factor
other than genetics.

What about the female side of your family, any baldness of
the maternal grandfather, uncles and so on?

No the doctor didn't ask that many question. I just explained what I put in first post and he prescribed the acid phos. I saw him after a week and he asked me to continue.

The maternal side hair are not that good. although none of the uncle is bald but the hair are thin and not dense. On my father side all the uncle has good dense hair. age range 55-65.

What do you prescribe for me doctor ?

Hi-

I think this is genetic from the female
line and remedies are not going to do
anything for it-either are the allopathic
drugs which will give you worse problems.'Our genetic data, however, stress the relative importance of the maternal line in the inheritance of [male pattern baldness]. This suggests that ... the resemblance should be greater between affected males and their maternal grandfathers than between affected males and their fathers.' ( from Web MD)

You should not be taking a 30c medicine 4 times a day indefinitely. That is extremely risky, and will eventually cause side effects.

Someone needs to take your case properly and prescribe more carefully (and more accurately) if you are going to get any chance of cure with homoeopathy.

Dr. Homeo site, which has huge advertising for homeopathy says this-
about male pattern baldness.Complete Reversal of male pattern baldness with homeopathy is a debatable topic.

Homeopathic World Community- has this-Adrogenic alopecia – male pattern or female pattern alopecia Androgen hormone Hereditary Pathological Hyperandrogenism Androgenic alopecia or male/female pattern of alopecia is a hereditary disorder. In this type of baldness any type of treatment including homeopathy treatment will not be so much helpful except hair transplant. In this type of hair fall the cure percentage is MINIMAL
Congenital Congenital hair loss As it is congenital in nature so the homeopathy treatment will not give expected result The cure percentage is MINIMAL in this type of hair -

I have not seen a case on this site or any other 'cured' cases of people
regrowing hair with a genetic cause.

I agree that it can be difficult to regrow the hair once it is lost. You can prevent further loss, or prevent it from happening at all if caught early enough in the person's life. I have never seen in 20 years of clinical practice, male pattern baldness reverse.

On the other hand, actual illnesses like Alopecia are easily cured, even extreme cases like Total Alopecia.

Are you saying, that if you get a guy in his early 20's and he is
starting to exhibit male pattern baldness and has it on his
mothers side- that you can stop that genetic process from
moving forward?

I would like to see one of those cases where it is hereditary in
the family, and homeopathy stops it.

I have done that a number of times - you can stop it from progressing even if it has started. The earlier of course you catch it the easier it is. There may be a kind of 'tip-over' point past which the momentum is too great. Young men I have definitely been able to help. I am not sure if you only put it off till a later date of course, that is possible. I have seen no patient longer than 10 years (that I am still in contact with) so while it stopped for the period I saw them, I cannot vouch for how long it is staved off.

Homoeopathy has great power over hereditary complaints (miasmatic). It's one of our strengths, and pretty much makes us unique. Only good miasmatic prescribing can do it though.

Should I stop taking acid phos altogether or reduce the dosage ?
What about the oil I m using Dr Wellman Arnica oil .

Please suggest. I can't get in touch with the doctor I saw in India .

Thanks

Taking Phos ac 30 many times each day is dangerous. You will create a new disease inside of you if you continue. It will not help your hair loss. That is not proper homoeopathy. I doubt Arnica oil will do anything either.

Allopathy has found that hereditary hair loss can be halted too, if caught early - they use products like Regaine. That is a risky product that can cause HPB and heart attacks, so nobody should be using it. However, the body is capable of desensitizing the hair follicles to male hormones, and this is what we are (ultimately) trying to do with homoeopathy as well. Any kind of oversensitivity can be treated.
