ATTN: FITNESS; terrible anxiety/panic/hypochondria

I am in dire need of help. Background:

I am 36 years old female. Holistic health coach and generally very healthy.

My current main complaints are hypochondria, anxiety, worry, panic, and multiple physical manifestations of my stress.

background:

I have had generalized anxiety since my earliest memories. I remember lying in bed as a young child praying to God to help me live a 'long, happy, healthy' life. I was the kind of kid who constantly worried. If I threw up from illness I would convulse in fear. I worried about myself and everyone else.

Also, growing up I never expressed my feelings--especially uncomfortable ones. I bottled everything up. I was always afraid. I did not sleep alone in my room until 18 years old bc I could feel what I called ghosts all around me. I now realize I felt spirits around me. Either way I was a wreck as a kid. total insomniac.

Growing up I was addicted to sugar. I closet ate a lot of sugar. I never had a weight problem, but my build was strong and muscular, though petite.

in my twenties I developed debilitating Interstitial Cystitis and also was dealing with an alcoholic family member. My anxiety and panic was very bad during this time. I had at least one panic attack that landed me in the ER thinking I was having a heart attack.

I ended up finding a Chinese medicine doctor who diagnosed systemic yeast and bacteria. By changing my diet and taking Chinese herbs I completely healed my interstitial cystitis in a matter of weeks AND MY ANXIETY ALSO WENT AWAY. ALL OF MY ANXIETY WAS GONE AND REMAINED SO FOR 8 YEARS.

Almost three years ago I had a daughter born three months early. She was very sick, in NICU for months, and when she came home the real hell began. It took 1.5 years to get her 'out of the woods'. At the same time my older daughter was sick all of the time due to the stress of our family situation. To this day we are still healing multiple health issues of my younger daughter. I have serious post traumatic stress syndrome over my daughter. She almost died and it was very hard on me.

What's interesting is that I handled the stress very well for the first 8 months of my daughters life, probably bc I was in survival mode.

Over the last 2.5 years I have had little time to worry about my health. But in the last several or so months I hit a wall. Blood tests showed I had major adrenal fatigue. I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. I became anxiety ridden to the point that I couldn't eat for almost two months. I lost 15 pounds (I am a small person). I felt multiple pains in my body that were directly related to stress.

Two months ago I developed shingles. I started getting canker sores. And a month ago out of nowhere the intense, overwhelming hypochondria and panic set in. I no longer have the stamina to handle any stress. Here are a list of symptoms I have felt in the last month and my hypochondria:

- headache: worried about brain tumor
- foot/ankle soreness: worried about rheumatoid arthritis
- canker sore: sign of a serious disease
- earache
- breast soreness: worried about breast tumor

***most recently I have had dry mouth. I have read that intense anxiety can cause dry mouth. but I have been researching over and over worried about Sjogrens syndrome. I should note that sjorgrens is an autoimmune disease that causes dry mouth and eyes. I only experienced dry mouth and eyes AFTER reading about this condition. I obsessively read about every health condition under the sun and worry if it's something I may have.

I am certain that my body is making up some of these physical symptoms--even though they are very real.

Two weeks ago I got a pedicure and when the person touched my feet I immediately had a panic attack. I felt my chest closing in, couldn't breathe, felt like I would faint, absolute panic.

I do not have a family history of autoimmune disease and do not think I have a disease. I do have a family history of different c_ncers. This worries me. But then again, everything worries me.

This is a lot of information, but I want to give you as much as I can.

Currently I am in a state of anxiety and panic every waking moment. When my mouth becomes dry and my tongue feels gross I panic very intensely, I feel like my world is caving in. I often feel like I'm having an out of body experience--meaning this is not the kind of person I really am, especially in the last 8 or so years. I feel like the anxiety is completely out of control.

Also currently, I have lost all appetite. I could go days without eating but am making myself eat bc I feel like my dry mouth will only be worse without nourishment.

sorry if I wrote way too much but I know in homeopathy more is better! thanks so much!!!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I wanted to quickly add that I'm a highly sensitive person in all areas. bright lights, loud noises, crowded placed bother me. I don't panic in these situations, I just don't like them. In the past 3 years since the birth of my daughter I have lost more and more interest in friends and social situations. I have become very introverted.

Also, ironically, I feel better with my hypochondria and panic when I'm with friends and family doing 'enjoyable' things. anything to get my mind off of the issue. But if I'm alone for even a few minutes all the anxiety comes back. I always start to feel it in my stomach/bottom/legs. and it just sits there for hours or days...

Hi Fitness, I have read your profile and your website and am very happy you will try to help me. Thank you! Do you prefer to work over email or on this forum?
Either way, here are my answers below:

QUESTIONS:
1. Your age & sex: 36 year old female

2. Describe your appearance

• Weight: 117

• Height: 5’2

• Body type (Very thin, Thin, Medium, Chubby, Fat, Obese),
Petite but very athletic and strong build. Muscular and fit. Strong legs.

• Any significant feature (e.g. sunken cheeks, stooped shoulders, thin chest etc.)
No significant features to speak of.

3. Your profession
Holistic health coach who helps people learn how to eat healthy

4. Describe your personality in at least 20 words (e.g. stubborn, lazy, suicidal, don’t want to work, always in a hurry etc.)
I’m a very agreeable, accommodating person. People pleaser. Never want to rock the boat and am able to adapt to many different situations. Since childhood I am very anxious, nervous, overly cautious. Very, very sensitive. My feelings have always been hurt very easily. My body is physically sensitive, and I’m emotionally and mentally sensitive. Bright lights, loud noises, strong smells bother me. Large crowds bother me—not in anxiety, but I just want to be home alone. Introverted. Growing up I hid all my sad or mad emotions. As an adult, and especially since having a sick child, I have become very introverted. I have had anxiety and nervousness for years. My body often speaks my mind so the more nervous I am I start manifesting physical symptoms from tingling, pains, numbness, to dry mouth, shingles, etc.

5. If money was not an issue and you had a month of vacation, what would you do
First I would spend a week on a tropical island with my husband and two children. Then I would retreat to an ashram or somewhere that I could cultivate my spirituality and connection to mother earth and to find my purpose in life. It sounds idealistic but I am in a place in my life where I need to focus more on my health and happiness.

6. How is your relationship with your parents, spouse, siblings, children etc.
With my parents: I have a great relationship with my parents—they are loving and kind and supportive. However I hold some degree of resentment to them regarding my older brother who has been an addict for 25 years. They love him very much and therefore are very codependent with him. I get frustrated because I feel like they will ‘love him to death’. But when I don’t think about my brother my parents are great. I will say that growing up my dad was intimidating and domineering and inadvertently caused me to turn inward and not express my emotions. Also my mother is one of those people who is ‘always happy’ even when she isn’t. I never was taught how to properly express sadness and anger. As an adult it is better.
With my brothers: I have two older brothers. One of them is an alcoholic and has been for 25 years. When he is sober he is awesome. When he is drinking he is an awful, terrible person. I recently cut off all contact with him and will remain this way until/if he ever gets sober.
My other brother is married with two kids. We have a great relationship.
My husband and I have a great relationship. It’s not perfect but we are a very good fit and love each other very much. He is a very dominating personality and has a temper but my even keeled personality makes us a perfect match. In general he makes me very happy.
I have two young daughters: They are awesome but VERY VERY high maintenance. They are both very demanding (especially my youngest) and often make me feel suffocated bc they want me to do everything/be everything for them. My youngest was born 3 months early ( she is almost 3 now) and trying to get/keep her healthy for the first 1.5 to 2 years was exhausting. I have been an emotional wreck really for years bc of her ongoing health issues and the health issues of my other daughter and mind as a result of all the stress. I have become a hypochondriac for their health AND mine bc of years of worry.

7. If relationship is not ok, what’s wrong and how is it affecting you
I think I mentioned most above.

8. Do you smoke/drink/drugs, if yes, details of why & since when
I drink wine. In the past 6 months I have sadly found that I crave a glass of wine 5 nights a week in order to calm my nerves. I feel chronically anxiety ridden. If I have a glass of wine I feel better. I am very self limiting in my consumption of more then one or two glasses of wine. I do not have an addictive personality when it comes to alcohol or drugs, but I always want to remain in control therefore stop after one or two glasses of wine.

9. What is your main health problem & its symptoms
My main complaint right now is my anxiety/nervousness/hypochondria and the mental/emotional/ and physical issues that accompany it. I have always had general anxiety but was able to overcome it for almost 8 years. Since my daughter was born sick and early my anxiety/nerves/panic have just gotten worse and worse. In the last few months and weeks it’s hitting an all time high.

10. When did this main problem begin As mentioned above, my earliest memories were of me being worried about my health and being terrified of sleeping in my room at night. I was the kind of kid who if I threw up I would start convulsing in fear. I was an insomniac and was too afraid to sleep alone until I was in my twenties.
In my mid twenties I overcame all of my anxiety and nerves through energy work and by changing my diet and really just becoming holistic.
Last winter both of my daughters had strange health issues and I started losing it. I became very anxiety ridden and lost 15 pounds in a month I couldn’t eat or sleep. I got better for a month or two then a month ago the downward spiral happened again. I became a complete and total hypochondriac. Every little twinge I felt I thought I was going to die. I had a panic attack while getting a pedicure three weeks ago bc the person touched my feet. I have pretty much been in panic since.
I am experiencing dry mouth, heart palpitations, tingling, etc. I obsessively research all of these symptoms worrying I have an autoimmune disease or some major problem.

11. What is the cause of this problem in your view
Partly I think the propensity to worry is something I have carried for years. I also think the post traumatic stress syndrome of having my daughter so sick started a chain reaction of hypochondria. I think I felt helpless for years in helping to keep my family healthy despite being a holistic health coach, so I started to lose all faith in my ability to help my family. I felt like I was ‘missing something’ and that is where the hypochondria kicks in. Like I obsessively research every symptom for me and my daughters so I don’t ‘miss something’. Also, since I’m so sensitive my body really does speak my mind. So I actually am feeling man physical sensations that are really manifestations of stress and anxiety.

12. What non-medicinal actions make the main problem better (e.g. massage, warmth, cold, lying down, sitting etc.). Even though I avoid social situations I find that when I’m around other people and taking my mind off of my issues I feel better in terms of anxiety AND physical sensations. I seem to feel better when I’m in physical contact—hugging or sitting with—my family. I have found that I feel better after I eat. When I’m anxiety ridden I could go days without eating but that makes it way worse. I also feel better when I heat up warming pad and put it on my lap. I seem to do better with dry mouth and anxiety when I eat warming foods such as soup, cooked vegetables, etc.

13. What non-medicinal actions make it worse (e.g. massage, warmth, cold, lying down, sitting etc.)
Lying down seems to make it worse, mainly bc I’m alone with my thoughts. Much worse at night. Even in the middle of the night I will wake up and immediately feel panicked. Seem to feel better when I sit in a warm bath. In terms of the physical symptoms of extreme dry mouth etc. I seem to do much worse when I don’t eat and when I eat only raw foods (which I typically gravitate towards).

14. How do you feel mentally & emotionally during this problem (e.g. weepy, irritable, restless, sad, hopeless, fear of death etc.)
When I feel physical symptoms from stress I am a complete wreck. I feel completely hopeless, I fear death, I am intensly restless, sad, worried, and really all-consumed. I may be making dinner or playing with my girls but really I am not there at all. I am just a wreck.

15. What other health problems do you have
Really, besides the debilitating anxiety and hypochondria I’m a very healthy person. I have had a lot of minor health issues (canker sores, shingles, dry mouth) but I feel that most of these issues are related to stress. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and hormone imbalance (very low progesterone) several months ago. After taking herbal supplements I felt better in a matter of days.

16. List down all health problems and when did they start (approximate month & year)
In 2006 I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. It was a horrible time in my life and I was on 9 different medications for pain, spasms, anxiety, insomnia, depression, etc. I realized I HAD to change the course of this illness. I met with a Chinese medicine doctor who recognized I had systemic yeast and bacteria. We healed my IC and body and anxiety in a matter of months by changing my diet and adding in herbs. I have been healthy for 8 years.
December 2013 adrenal fatigue.
May 2014 shingles
June 2014 right breast started getting swollen and painful during periods. Doctor could feel a swollen milk duct.
July massive anxiety/panic/hypochondria. Multiple body sensations including body aches and pains (fleeting that went away quickly), tremors, feeling faint, dry mouth and tongue

17. What non-medicinal actions make these other health problems better (explain each problem)
When I start focusing on my health by exercising, eating right, meditating and NOT researching on the internet I seemed to feel better. With shingles I took a lot of vitamin C and vitamin D. With adrenal fatigue stopped drinking caffeine and made sure I slept a lot.

18. What non-medicinal actions make these other health problems worse (explain each problem)
No matter what the health issue if I start to overthink it I become a total mess and can barely function.

19. What animals or insects are you afraid of
I don’t have any phobias of insects or animals, just healthy fears. I don’t like any spider or insect if it’s in my house.

20. What situations are you afraid of (e.g. heights, closed spaces, ocean, darkness, flying etc)
I am not a fan of stepping in the ocean (like looking at it), flying, tight spaces, large crowds, etc. I can’t say I have a huge fear of these things, but discomfort.

21. What occupies your mind mostly
Worry, worry, worry. Worry about my health. My kids health. What foods we are eating (organic, non gmo etc). I worry about things I can’t control like earthquakes, wars, etc. I worry about family members and their decisions. I definitely lose sleep worrying.

22. How do you respond to consolation & sympathy
Consolation and sympathy really helps me greatly, especially if someone can relate to me. For example, if someone says ‘oh I had a dry mouth feel for a few weeks one time’ that makes me feel less alone and ‘strange’. I also really like to confide in trusted people so I can feel less isolated in my thoughts.

23. Do you want to stay alone or with people
In general I always choose to be alone. Always. But if I’m forced to be around other people I usually feel a bit better.

24. How is your sleep, if not good, why
I sleep well but it’s because I take kava and phosphatidylserene and sometimes even valerian root. However if I wake up briefly at night I feel the sensations of panic—tingling in my bottom and legs, I scan my body to see if something is wrong that I should worry about etc. I have a hard time waking up in the morning.

25. Do you have any recurring (repeating) dreams, if yes, what do you see
I have dreams that I have to fit through a very small and tight space to exit a room. I often dream that my parents are moving out of a big house (that is not theirs in real life) and into another place. I dream that my older brother died of alcoholism. I dream that robbers are breaking into a house I’m staying at.

26. Is your complaint affected by weather, if so, which weather affect & how
Not affected by winter to my knowledge

27. Do you normally feel hot or cold
I am usually ‘just right’ but if there is one I feel more it would be cold. I love hot weather.

28. What foods you crave & love (not what you eat due to health or other reasons, rather what you desire)
When I’m not extremely anxiety ridden I gravitate towards sugar and carbs.

29. Is there any food that you hate
There are no foods I hate. I love a variety

30. What taste you crave & love (e.g. sweet, salty, sour, bitter)
Sweet is my go-to.

31. Is there any taste which you hate
I don’t like curry tasting foods or foods that are very spicy.

32. Do you like warm or cold food
I seem to gravitate towards cold food in summer and warm in winter. However I find when I eat too much raw foods my body does not respond well

33. Do you want to eat indigestible foods (chalk, lead pencil, mud….)
NO

34. How is your thirst (less, moderate, excessive)
Normally my thirst is normal to less. In the last week when my dry mouth has hit I would say my thirst is excessive.

35. Do you have excessively dry lips or mouth or both
Yes yes yes! This is a brand new symptom and very disturbing.

36. Do you have any coating on tongue first thing in the morning, if yes
I do have a coating and it’s a yellowish/white coat that is in the middle/back of the tongue. Sides of the tongue have ridges. Tongue currently looks a bit dehydrated.

• Is coating thick

• Color of coating

• Where exactly (back, middle, sides etc)

37. Any taste in your mouth first thing in the morning (e.g. bitter, sour) yes and the taste is now continuing most of the day. The taste is gross but I can’t describe it well. It feels bitter and rotten. Dry dry dry.

38. How is your skin (dry, oily, rough, acne, pustules, boils, psoriasis etc), upload here or email me a picture of the skin problem
Skin is very normal. However in the last few months I will get large single acne spots on my neck and upper back. There aren’t white heads, just large cyst like blemishes. Also, just last week I had what I guess is an outer ear infection. When I reached my finger in my ear to scratch it it hurt very badly. A doctor said she didn’t see a boil but it was red and recommended garlic oil. It went away in three days with this treatment.

39. Please upload here or email me a close up picture of your hand nails (without nail polish or any treatment done). Picture should be of nails, not hands. Click my username for my email address.
Will do!

40. Details about your perspiration (sweat), answer all these points:

• Where mostly (head, chest, back etc) I sweat under arms and on chest

• How much (a lot, normal, very less) I don’t sweat excessively but perhaps more then others bc I don’t use antipersperant

• Any strong smell (garlic, onion etc) , I find my underarms can have a musty smell at times. No other odor I can point out.

• Does it stain, if yes what color (yellow, green, no color)
no color I can tell

41. Any problems with eyes/vision, if yes, since when
Never until last week when I had dry eyes one day. I was in the middle of a 14 day food detox and I think my body went into ketosis. The dry eyes stopped after a few hours but then the dry mouth started. I thought it was due to low carbs and stopped the diet. My dry mouth went away after 36 hours but came back a few days later. My eyes have been fine ever since. Perhaps slightly dry.

42. Any problems with ears, nose, throat (e.g. nose always blocked, runny, color of discharge) no issues other then my outer ear issue as mentioned above. I have never had an ear issue before and my nose is never blocked. I had strep throat so many times growing up that I finally got my tonsils taken out at 21 years of age. It was a few months after that surgery that I got interstitial cystitis. My Chinese medicine doctor thinks I contracted an undiagnosed bacteria at that time.

43. How is your stool, answer all these points: how often, consistency, any blood, any particular smell etc.
In the last three weeks I have had multiple stools a day. When I was doing the detox I had diarrhea multiple times a day. Now I just have very loose, dark dark brown stools three or more times a day. Smell is very acidic and strong.

44. How is your urine, answer all these points: color, smell, any blood etc. urine seems fine. Color is clearish to yello

45. How is your sex desire (e.g. no desire, low, moderate, high, very high) typically my sex drive is high and great. Lately it’s lower and it’s much more difficult for me to feel aroused.

46. Are you satisfied with your sex life, if no, why not
The only thing I’m not satisfied with is that it takes me a long time to climax. This is not normal for me. My husband and I have a great sex life.

47. Do you masturbate, if yes, how frequently
No.

48. Are you satisfied after having sex or want more
I feel very satisfied after sex.

49. Males genitals (any problems with erection, any pain, any itching etc.)

50. Females menses details (reply to all these points)
My period is pretty typical.

• Regularity (early, late, irregular, duration of cycle) I am quite regular—every 28-30 days

• Flow (low, moderate, high) flow is high for two days then drops off drastically

• Clots (none, some, a lot, huge clots, bright color, dark color) never any clots

• Any discharge (color, consistency, smell) no smell

51. What illnesses are running in your family

• Mother’s side: past: breast c_ncer, colon c_ncer, alzheimers, diabetes, stroke

• Father’s side past: breast c_ncer, colitis,

• Siblings (brother/sister) alcoholism

52. Are you taking any medicines (allopathic, homeopathic, supplements, acupuncture etc.) free and easy wanderer Chinese medicine, vit D, multi vitamin, probiotics

53. Have you had any surgeries or implants, if yes, give details
Tonsillectomy at 21 years old. That is all

54. Have you had any long term treatment (physical or psychological), if yes, give details (what, when, where, why, the list of medicines used)
No. I have had a counselor for years but not for mental disorders—more for just enhancing my life and relationships

55. What homeopathic remedies have you taken in the past (potency, dosage, approx. time frame)
Sepia 30 c for a few days once
I took an anxiety remedy for a few months. I don’t even know what was in it—I bought it over the counter!

Here is what I think, if you are in agreement, we can proceed:

First, we have to bring your body to a balanced state through the use of a balanced diet and exercise. Have a look at the guidelines I have posted in the next post below and let me know how much of that are you following.

I have consulted for a few health professionals who tend to overdo with detox and other therapies which ultimately is counterproductive, I want to make sure you are not falling for that.

You have to stop all sorts of supplements, diets, detox etc. for 4 weeks and just eat healthy.

After this, we will proceed with the right homeopathic remedy.

Please click on my username to know about me. It will help you establish the reliability of what is written below. I am very critical about the sources where I gather info from. It’s mostly universities or government sources that I gather my info from.

If you want to be healthy, be at an optimum weight, have great digestive system, be full of energy and a great sex drive then you can follow the below guidelines for 3 months and the results will speak for themselves. Overweight people have shown a decrease of approx. ½ to 1 lb per week following these guidelines till they reached the optimum weight for their bodies.

But before you try to follow these you have to know what is the difference between a “Diet” and “Lifestyle Change”.

A “diet” is only for a few days e.g. soup diet, vegetable diet etc. These are not sustainable and sooner or later people get sick of them and revert to their old ways & habits and loose whatever benefits they gained!

A “lifestyle change” on the other hand consists of sensible & conscious choices that you make which you know will last a lifetime because these are choices which show results slowly but surely and permanently.

DIETARY GUIDELINES:
1. Eat 5 walnuts a day. Walnuts should be in their shell till the time you are going to eat them. Pre-shelled nuts go rancid and are harmful instead of being healthy. Walnuts help boost HDL (good cholesterol) which cleans and removes the plaque deposits from your arteries.
2. Eat 5 almonds a day. Almonds should be in their shell till the time you are going to eat them. Pre-shelled nuts go rancid and are harmful instead of being healthy. Almonds provide several essential nutrients especially Vitamin-E which reduces inflammation in your body, improves your immune system and makes heart healthy. Almonds also make sex drive stronger.
3. Eat a raw clove of garlic everyday by crushing it or chopping it into fine pieces and letting it sit for 10 minutes. Doing this makes the garlic super potent in helping you fight inflammation. It’s the best known naturally occurring antibacterial & antifungal.
4. Start eating half cup of low fat, unsweetened, non-flavored yogurt with live cultures daily in the morning or with lunch. If you have homemade yogurt that’s the best. NOTE: Yogurt can cause increased mucus generation in some individuals, if you are like that, don’t eat yogurt. Rather start eating roasted black chick peas (also known as Bengal Gram) daily.
5. Stop all processed foods e.g. white bread, white rice, white burgers etc.
6. Eat whole foods only i.e. whole grain bread, brown rice, brown burgers etc.
7. The bread should be high in bran content & the flour should be coarse ground.
8. Start eating a small bowl of salad at least once a day or ideally twice a day. it should contain cucumber, carrots, salad leaves, tomato and any vegetable you like. Put a dressing of olive oil & raw apple cider vinegar and put some salt & black pepper to your liking. You can put some freshly unshelled almonds or walnuts on your salad too.
9. Eat at least 1-2 fruits per day e.g. apple, orange etc.
10. Drink enough water so that your urine is clear. Yellow colored urine is a good indication that you are dehydrated.
11. Eat only when hungry and when eating, don’t overstuff yourself.
12. Focus on food only when you eat i.e. don’t divert your attention by watching tv etc.

CONSTIPATION:
If you suffer from constipation, you need to understand the difference between SOLUBLE and INSOLUBLE fiber. If you have a tendency towards constipation then in addition to the abovementioned guidelines for diet, you need to add INSOLUBLE fiber. A few good sources of insoluble fiber are broccoli, whole wheat, bran, husk etc. This fiber stimulates good bowel movement.
SOLUBLE fiber on the other hand slows down digestion. A few good sources of soluble fiber are apple, oats, banana etc. If you want to REDUCE CHOLESTEROL then consume soluble fiber. You can search the internet for more info on these fiber types.

EXERCISE GUIDELINES:
1. Aerobic activity e.g. Start walking at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week with your spouse/friend and achieve your TARGET HEART RATE.
2. Strength training e.g. Start weight training at least 20 minutes 3 days a week.
NOTE: If you have a physical injury or other issues, consult your physician before embarking on the strength training. Search internet to know what is Target Heart Rate for exercise.

I advise to use “Raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized, apple cider vinegar” because it contains the wholesome goodness of vinegar not spoiled by processing. Same approach is used for yogurt, no artificially sweetened, processed, flavored yogurt, just have it as close to the way it naturally comes as possible.
I advise to use almonds & walnuts which are in their shell till you want to eat them because pre-shelled nuts become rancid and do damage to your body instead of benefit.

Fitness this all sounds great. I do think I way way way overdid the detox. My body just never seems to respond in the way I would like to these detoxes.

I am eager and excited to start this new way of healthful eating ASAP. This will be very easy for me to comply with.

So to confirm I am not going to take any homeopathics until I have followed this for one month? I ask bc I am so anxiety ridden and feel like my adrenalin is so high that I can barely make it through a day without freaking out emotionally or physically.

I think your intuition on my detox putting me in a tailspin is spot on. I'm a wreck!

Melissa,

Google the book-pdf- Organotherapy, Drainage and Detoxification,
by Dr. Joe Roscenzwaig. Google the Dr. also-He is a well known homeopath,
author and he is an MD, Surgeon, Acupuncturist and several other things.

Most people don't know what they are doing to themselves doing these
detox protocols. The body has it's own wisdom and will store things
in safe places- First you build yourself up before you do anything at all.

You can read a partial pdf of the book-it makes a lot of sense.

simone717 9 years ago
Simone I will get that book ASAP. I should know better. Any detox I've ever done has ended badly for me. I just didn't realize how bad it could get for me!

melissafox22 9 years ago
I can prescribe for you right now but I am almost certain it would not be curative, it can be palliative and may mess up the symptom picture even more.

Just follow these guidelines for a week and we can re-evaluate the case, if we see a clear picture, I will prescribe.

The working of the body is a miracle of nature, since you don't do drugs/smoke and neither are an alcoholic, just following these guidelines will jolt your body back to normal functioning within days.

You can report back as often you feel. I respond daily. If you don't hear back email me as the forum's mail is not very reliable.

Thank you fitness I will report back in one week. What's interesting is as quickly as my body can 'fall victim' to bad mistakes like over detoxing I know it also recovers quickly. I will keep in touch.

One note. I have had an earache on and off for a week. I have literally never had an earache in my life. In your opinion could this just be another way my body is detoxing. I have been using garlic oil in my ear which helps a lot but if I stop for one day the ache returns.

For the earache:

Eat garlic as per my guidelines, twice a day. If no relief within 24 hrs, reply to these questions:

Where is the pain exactly
What is the type of pain (dull, throb, shoot etc)
What non medicinal actions makes it better (e.g. warmth, cold, lying etc)
& worse
What is the emotional reaction coming up with the pain

Hi Fitness, it has not been a week yet but since I'm still experiencing a lot of anxiety and symptoms I thought I would post to see your thoughts.

- I have had a very very hard time eating at all. my severe anxiety causes zero appetite, and what's more--repulsion of food. making it worse is my extreme dry mouth. I literally could not chew grains/potatoes/breads right now if I tried. I would choke. Still, starting yesterday I have forced myself to eat soup with a bunch of vegetables and lentils/sweet potatoes in it every few hours to start my system working again. no relief from the dry mouth.
-my eyes are also very dry. as are my ears.

- dry mouth is much worse at night, in the middle of the night, and in the morning until 10 am. much worse upon laying down, being alone, and feeling cold.

- dry mouth feels marginally better when taking a warm bath. after eating. upon social settings when my mind is not on it.

- my jaw hurts, mot likely from clenching and stress.

- I have what my acupuncturist calls internal wind. my body is shaking involuntarily.

- my throat hurts and feels like I'm on the verge of getting ill but I think it's exhaustion.

- I have insomnia and wake up every night between 3-4 and cannot fall back asleep.

-as you recall this all started after that 10 day detox AND after just reading about sjogrens syndrome which is a syndrome affecting salivary glands in the mouth and eyes.

-besides feeling panic and anxiety, I have days I feel helpless and hopeless.

- my dry eyes and mouth aren't just imagined as I just had a dentist appointment and he mentioned that my mouth and tongue were very dry.

- my tongue is very pale with some slight white/green tinge on the back middle tongue.

- I am to the point now where if I feel even the slightest symptom I become exasperated and start imagining the worst.

-as for my dry mouth, nothing really makes it subside, but for sure raw foods make it worse and cooked make it feel like I can at least chew. even talking is difficult.

- I did take low potency arsenica album on the advice of my naturopathic doctor 2 tabs twice a day for a few days because I was feeling like I would lose my mind. it helped with my loose stools but obviously not with the other stuff.

thanks Fitness!!!

Your remedy is: Pulsatilla 200c

HOW TO TAKE THE REMEDY:
Please take two doses 12 hrs apart. Just two doses. Not daily.
Report back in 7 days with changes observed.

WHAT IS A DOSE:
If remedy is Pills/Pellets:
One dose is one pill.
Dissolve the pill in your mouth.

If remedy is liquid:
Put one drop of the remedy in half glass of water, stir and take one tea spoon from it.
That’s one dose.

TIME OF DOSE:
First dose: At night before sleeping.
Second dose: 12 hrs after the first dose.
Don’t take any more dose or any other remedy unless I tell you.

PRECAUTIONS:
If there is significant worsening of symptoms (called homeopathic aggravation) after the first dose, then don’t take the second dose.
Don’t take any other homeopathic remedy during this treatment.
Give a break of at least 10 minutes before eating/drinking anything before or after taking the remedy.
During the treatment, don’t eat anything which you have never had all your life.

HOMEOPATHIC AGGRAVATION
Sometimes the symptoms for which treatment is being done can worsen after taking the homeopathic remedy. This is homeopathic aggravation and a good sign. It usually dies down within 24-48 hrs. During this time you can use any non-medicinal means to keep yourself comfortable. If the aggravation seems excessive, you can use any & all means necessary (including taking allopathic medicines) to keep yourself comfortable. Keep your homeopath fully updated if this happens.

HOW TO GIVE FEEDBACK:
A good example of how to report your progress is by giving %age improvement for all your health problems e.g.
Headache: 30% better
Low energy level: 50% better
Anxiety: 40% better
Sadness: No change
Depression: Worse
And so on list all your complaints.

IF I DON’T REPLY:
If you don’t hear back from me within 24 hrs, it is likely that the forum’s email didn’t work. You can send me an email by clicking my username.

GENERAL INFO ABOUT HOMEOPATHIC PRESCRIBING:
If someone is giving several remedies, without waiting to see the effect of one remedy, then it is totally against the core principles of homeopathy. Such an approach is unlikely to give permanent cure, rather it may distort actual symptoms making subsequent cure even more difficult.

HOW TO ORDER:
You can get the remedies from this site or various other online sources, use Google search for it.

DIETARY & EXERCISE GUIDELINES (for adults):
Use common sense in following these guidelines and ask me if unsure. Homeopathy is not magic and it can only work when all other supportive strategies are also used. To make sure you are cured as fast as possible and stay that way please change your lifestyle to include the following:

1. Start eating half cup of low fat, plain, non-flavored yogurt with live cultures daily in the morning or with lunch. If you have homemade yogurt that’s the best. Yogurt can cause increased mucus generation in some individuals, if you are like that, don’t eat yogurt. Rather start eating roasted black chick peas (also known as Bengal Gram) daily.
2. Stop all processed foods e.g. white bread, white rice, white burgers etc.
3. Eat whole foods only i.e. whole grain bread, brown rice, brown burgers etc.
4. The bread should be high in bran content & the flour should be coarse ground.
5. Start eating a small bowl of salad at least once a day e.g. it should contain cucumber, carrots, salad leaves, tomato and any vegetable you like. Put a dressing of olive oil & raw apple cider vinegar and put some salt & black pepper to your liking.
6. Eat at least 1-2 fruits per day e.g. apple, orange etc.
7. Drink enough water so that your urine is clear. Yellow colored urine is a good indication that you are dehydrated.
8. Eat only when hungry and when eating, don’t overstuff yourself.
9. Focus on food only when you eat i.e. don’t divert your attention by watching tv etc.
10. Exercise:
• Aerobic activity e.g. Start walking at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week with your spouse/friend and achieve your target heart rate.
• Strength training e.g. Start weight training at least 20 minutes 3 days a week.

LIFESTYLE CHANGE:
No amount of treatment, be it homeopathic or allopathic, can cure if the persistent cause is not eliminated e.g. if you keep moving a broken bone repeatedly then it will never heal since you are not giving it the required break to heal and set the bone. The same logic applies to constant immense stress (don’t confuse it with daily life stress which is necessary to survive).
Extremely unhappy relationships are toxic in nature and only breed more contempt & ill health unless they are addressed and proper remedial measures are not taken.

Hi Melissa,

I don't see any update for you.

simone717 9 years ago
Simone, you are the best for 'checking in' on me! I forget, should I email my update directly to Fitness or can I update here?

Either way, here goes: I STILL need to purchase the homeopathic! I have been very, very overwhelmed in the last 6 weeks just trying to find some kind of homeostasis that I keep forgetting to purchase the remedy online (as I can not find it in stores at that dose).

Before I purchase I want to tell you where my symptoms are right now as you may recommend something different.

- It's been 7 weeks now since I was on that 11 day detox that really spun my body out of control. As you recall, at my worst I was panicking day and night, pain in ears/throat, heart palpitations, whole body shivering/tremors, and horrific dry mouth.

-I ended up taking a bunch of herbs from my Chinese medicine doctor bc I was desperate for help. I am currently taking rhodiola, Siberian ginseng, , rehmannia peonnea, phosphatidylserene, and kava. after taking this combo of herbs most of my symptoms greatly, greatly improved.

- however, my dry mouth remains on a smaller level (not as debilitating) and the strange thing is my eyes have gotten progressively worse (dry, red, irritated and inflamed). They are the worst at night and in the morning upon waking. They are so red and you can see huge red blood vessels. crusty eyes too. It's so scary.

-Also I am still a hypochondriac. I recently found out I have two gene mutations that can cause health issues. Bc of this knowledge I worry about every single little thing. the worry is exhausting and debilitating.

-just in the last two nights I have started sleeping through the 3-4 am mark. So thankful for this.

-My diet is pristine. I am doing no gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol, chocolate. I am having a smoothie in the morning with nuts and seeds, leafy greens, non dairy milk, carrot juice etc. Lunch is soup and salad. dinner is vegetables and meat, sometimes grain. *****the thing is I have to force myself to eat. I have zero appetite. This has remained the same since all of this started 7 weeks ago. I have lost 7 pounds.

- I still feel great despair. I have gotten so much bloodwork done bc I'm afraid. my intuition says I'm actually quite healthy besides the obvious hit on my adrenal glands.

- I worry day and night that my eye's will never improve. I worry bc I did this to myself. I did a detox and continued to follow the detox even after having loose stools up to 8 times a day. I'm having a very hard time forgiving myself for putting my body through this, and especially for the terrible side affects I am experiencing.

- All of my physical conditions have subsided in terms of ears, throat, etc. Besides my eyes and mouth dryness of course.

I am so sorry I did not get the homeopathics sooner. I am ready to start working in homeopathics now and will purchase whatever you suggest asap.

many thanks Fitness!!!

Hi Melissa,

yes, you post updates on here. Fitness will advise.
When you order the remedy it only takes a few days to get there.
I saw your post on your child and then wondered what was going
on with you. The good thing about getting the right remedy, is
that your mind will calm down, you simply will not be thinking
the same way.

simone717 9 years ago
My recommendation for remedy stays the same, please update after taking the doses as advised.

Hi Fitness, here is my update per my anxiety:

panic: 80% better
insomnia: 15% better (made much worse bc my mouth is so dry it wakes me several times a night)
trembling: 90% better
dry eyes: 50% better
dry mouth: 10% better
appetite: 15% better
fatigue: 40% better (IF I get a decent night's sleep)
heart palpitations: 60% better
night wakings: 5% better (sleep is really rough)
anxiety: 30-50% better.*** It is still really bad around bedtime and overnight. I get very anxiety ridden that I won't be able to sleep and feel tingling in my extremeties, followed by more of the dry mouth, butterflies in stomach, almost feel sick...wake up with a start many times overnight. night and morning are really bad. Daytime is okay unless I have to talk a lot and the dry mouth sensation returns, making the anxiety bad again.

It took several days but in general I'm definitely feeling better then I was 10 days ago. However, the main symptoms that were bothering me to begin with are still the main ones that are bothering me still--anxiety, insomnia, dry mouth (and occasionally dry eyes).

I find that when I try to exercise I feel like my muscles are pulled and fatigued after not even doing too much.

My tolerance for stress is still very poor.

If I think about my dry mouth at all I panic bc it's so uncomfortable. At this point my saliva has returned somewhat but the compostition is very different. It evaporates quickly, leaving my mouth very dry and sometimes hard to talk without water beside me at all times. I feel like some hormone or nutritional imbalance of some kind from that horrible detox.

I'm very thirsty. craving large amounts of salt.

I am eating very clean and healthy. sugar/gluten/dairy free. a lot of vegetables, beans, organic meat, salads, soups, etc.

I feel like I need something to get me to the next level of healing but can't figure out what that is...

thank you so much Fitness!!!!
