This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you fill the questionnaire in without deliberately giving Nat-mur symptoms? That would be my main concern.

HOW TO DESCRIBE YOUR COMPLAINTS (Physical Components)

In homoeopathy, prescription is based on precise details of various symptoms from which you suffer. To tell or write to a homoeopathic physician 'I have a headache ', ' an eruption ' or “a cough” would not be enough. If you inform him 'I have headache with sharp shooting pains in the left side of the head and temple, these pains always come on when the slightest cold air strikes the head. I feel better by pressing the head very hard.” Then only you have given all the information required for making a good homoeopathic prescription. The success of the prescription depends; largely on how detailed your description of the symptoms is.
We require the following details about your symptoms.

LOCATION: Please give the exact location of sensation, pain or eruption. Also describe where the pain or sensation spreads.

SENSATION: Express the type of sensation or the pain that you get in your own words however simple or funny it may seem. You may have a sensation that a mouse is crawling or the heart was grasped by an iron hand or you may have a pain that is cutting, burning jerking, pressing. Express the sensation or pain as it feels to you. Try to explain the whole sensation in the exact way it is happening and not just the word. We need to understand the whole process of the sensation as it is happening to you.

WHAT MAKES YOU WORSE OR BETTER:

Many factors are likely to influence your complaint. Some factors may intensify it and some factors may relieve the trouble. A detailed list of the factors is given at the end. Please refer it while describing each of your troubles and indicate which factors make the complaint better or worse.

DISCHARGES: You may have a discharge from nose, ears, mouth, eyes, ulcers, fistula, eruptions on skin, private parts, etc. Please describe your discharge in detail including colour, consistency, appearance, odour etc.

1] Your Complaint:

(Use your own words as far as possible, but if you have recognized or diagnosed the condition, give this information also.) By answering as many of these questions as fully as possible, you are helping me to understand what your body and unconscious mind is conveying. This can help me find a remedy for you.)
• What is your complaint?
• When did the complaint begin?
• Where is it located?
• What sort of sensations (and emotions) do you associate with it?
When does it tend to occur (time/day)
• Does anything make it better or worse?
• How does it bother you? How is it coming in way of your day-to-day life?
• How does it feel like to have this/these problem/s?
• What is the effect of this/these problem/s on you?
• Did any event happen which caused the complaint? Describe the emotion associated with it.
• What are the other symptoms started with it, esp. mental and physical symptoms, which are not directly related to the main complaint.
• What are your reactions with it?

PLEASE ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FOR EACH SYMPTOM/COMPLAINT SEPARATELY. DO NOT INCLUDE ALL OF YOUR COMPLAINTS TOGETHER IN EACH QUESTION eg. all questions answered for Leg Pain, then same questions answered for Migraines, then same questions answered for Panic attacks etc.

Mental and Emotional State Description

(the homoeopathic remedy is very often decided on the basis of the mental and emotional state of the patient !)

1. What are the issues in your life that bother you the most. Not physical issues but mental or emotional ones. List each one separately and describe why each one bothers you so much.

2. What emotions are the most troublesome for you? What situations provoke these emotions. How do these emotions make you act? Do you feel any ill effects from expressing or not expressing these emotions.

3. What incidents in your life have had a deep impact on you? Describe each incident in detail and how they made you feel? What did you do in those situations? What effect have they had on your life?

4. What are you afraid of? Especially important are phobias, but it might be objects, situations or events that just produce a high level of anxiety. How do you manage your fears? How do you react when confronted with these fears? What would be the worst situation for you to be put in that would provoke these fears? You may need to talk about each fear/anxiety separately.

5. What hobbies do you have? Why do you like each of these activities?

6. Do you have any persistent thoughts, ideas or beliefs that are difficult to stop or cope with? What are they?

7. Do you have any unusual gestures or movements of the body? Do you feel any unusual sensation or pain throughout your body? What exactly does it feel like is happening in your body?

8. When you experience your fears, persistent thoughts, or difficult emotions, what kind of sensation or reactions do you get in your body?

9. When did you feel at your best in your life? What was that like for you? If you imagine the complete opposite of this feeling or moment, what would that be like?

10. Do you feel like you are stuck in a pattern of behavior, especially when trying to deal with your problems? What is this pattern?

11. What difficulties or problems do you have in relationships? Talk about your family, your romantic relationships, your spouse or partner, your friends, and your work colleagues. You may need to talk about all of these separately.

12. List 5 positive things about yourself. Are there any situations where this positive attribute becomes negative (is a problem)?

13. List 5 negative things about yourself. Are there any situations where this negative attribute becomes positive (is useful)?

14. Do you have any reoccurring dreams? Describe them in detail, including any feelings that come while dreaming.

15. Did you have any reoccurring dreams as a child, or earlier in your life? Describe those in detail including any feelings that came with them.

16. What were you like as a child, your character, your personality, your fears, your dreams, your problems?

17. What kind of environment did you grow up in? What problems where there at home, with your family, with your parents, with your siblings, with school?

There wouldn't be much point if there is an improvement in your symptoms. Wait and see what happens. If things do not work out you can fill it out then.

If the remedy is correct, there should be an aggravation of symptoms, followed by improvement. Relapse may happen but often some of the improvement sticks. Total relapse isn't usually a good sign, although there can be reasons for this other than the incorrect remedy.

If the remedy is only palliative, the symptoms will initially improve but this will not last long and there will be a relapse. Repeating the remedy will have less and less effect. Palliative remedies often don't affect whole areas of the case.

If the remedy is suppressive, the symptoms may improve to begin with, but something in the case will worse, usually in a more important area. Very often over time, the old symptoms will come back, and the new symptoms stay as well.

Alright.
one point I would like to highlight here is , I saw improvement with pulsatilla as well but that was only on physical front, Mentally how ever it changed my thought process which was not balanced one with respect to what I used to think before.I came across an discussion in your your view's are involved.
Personally speaking, I was able to correlate myself more with nat mur than pulstilla. It is

Hello,
I have been on Nat mur 1M.As if now I am feeling balanced mentally and physically.Though there has been a weight increase.
I observed that after the dose of nat mur my intake of fat/butter increased , so weight gain might have been an out come of that, may be that was an aggravation phase.
Now I do not have sort of urge for butter.

Besides this, my major problems:

constipation,
keratosis pilaris
dry skin
are getting resolved.

My concern , how ever is , for total cure, what will be the sequence of dosage, so that this disease never never come back.
Regards

HoneyKhanna 9 years ago
There is no such thing as sequence of dosage - every case is individual, and management of a case depends entirely on the reaction and progress. Homoeopaths use the principle of Direction of Cure alongside the Hierarchy of Symptoms to determine what any specific dose or potency or remedy has done.

It is important not to reinforce palliation or suppression if that has happened. It is important to follow up a partial similar with a complementary remedy. It is important to be able to respond to a change of state or the reappearance of an old set of symptoms with the appropriate remedy. Cure is not always simple - it is a process, with steps any of which might cause different sets of problems.

Please explain 'It is important not to reinforce palliation or suppression if that has happened. It is important to follow up a partial similar with a complementary remedy'.

Sorry, I was not able to understand this.

So now what is the action item on my end. Please let me know.Is it:
1)To wait
2)Share the present symptoms

If you continue to reinforce palliation or suppression(continue to take the remedy to make it happen)you can create new diseases, or make yourself difficult to cure, or even incurable. Suppression especially is terrible, and can kill patients if continued over and over. Allopaths kill their patients quite frequently this way.

Partially similar remedies do not suit the whole case, just part of it, but if the prescription is not palliative and not suppressive, you can get some forward movement towards cure this way. BUT it must be followed by another partial similar that works in tandem with the first (complementary remedies). Partial similars that are not followed up this way will eventually fail, and if used too often (because progress doesn't seem to happen) they can become suppressive remedies.

Without really having taken the current case, I have nothing to work with. All I know is you say you are getting better, but I have no way of knowing what that means or if it is happening according to our principles. I can't give advice on someone else's prescription. Based on that, I would just say it is best to wait. 1M potencies should last for many weeks or even months.

Evocationer 9 years ago
So in order to report you, my existing symptoms, shall I fill the form above, or other wise please suggest.
I am asking this, so that I can share my existing case details and can take further advice from you.

I have been trying to understand this, but not able to

In layman language , does this means what I mentioned below:

For example: does this mean is my main remedy is Nat mur then in between I might require some OTHER REMEDY, which can work with nat mur to provide total cure?

I have not repeated the dose and is on single dose of nat mur.

Besides this pulsatilla single dose too worked for months for me.Only issue I felt with pulsatilla was , i stopped thinking. I was not able to do mental work .How ever my constipation was gone and i had a very good metabolism, which I do not know was natural as since birth i have been constipated, so do not know my constitution.

In my case can nat mur and pulsatilla be Partially similar remedies?

As both together keep me fine mentally and physically with nat mur being my major remedy?

please suggest can this be the case.
I know , you cannot say anything till the time you do not evaluate my case, but I just want to know is this possible that

'In my case can nat mur and pulsatilla be Partially similar remedies?'

HoneyKhanna 9 years ago
Sorry I have had some trouble keeping up with the cases I am managing here.

If you saw physical problem disappear on Pulsatilla but you saw a new or worsened symptom in the mental sphere, then this means you suppressed those symptoms. This is a sure way to eventually make yourself incurable. Suppression is extremely dangerous.

If anything, it should be the other way around - mental problems disappear but physical ones worsen, at least in the first few weeks (at most). Then the physical problems should also improve.

Direction of Cure is the single most important guide for us in making sure patients are actually being cured, and that we are not instead harming them as many other therapies do.

A partial similar given for the physicals is generally problematic, as it will almost always palliate or suppress. The problem with then giving another remedy for the problems not solved, is that this doesn't cure the underlying cause for both kinds of problems. New symptoms will then appear as the central disease continues to evolve.

Partial similars are difficult to use to cure patients. You may go around and around one after the other with the feeling that the person is never really cured.

This symptom came with pulsatilla 200.

How ever with Natmur 1M

'If anything, it should be the other way around - mental problems disappear but physical ones worsen, at least in the first few weeks (at most). Then the physical problems should also improve.'

this is happening.

Old habits , schedule, taste, body structure is retuning PLUS No constipation and also reduction in skin dryness and keratosis.

What do you mean by old habits and schedule returning?

Evocationer 9 years ago
Before I took any homeopathy remedy:
My body was adopted to some type of routine.
I had a specific choice of food , clothes and other things.
After I took pulsatilla, my food habits changed. In fact everything was positive.I started eating more , in spite of which I reduced extra kilos and came up with a goof figure.
In fact i started looking 6-7 years younger in my age, but same happened with my mind. The thought process also narrowed down.I started getting difficulty in understanding things, which I was able to understand without any difficulty.

While all these years getting up in the morning was a pain, after pulsatilla, i could not be on bed and always wanted to be out of house. This was never the case before , as I loved being in home .I am an aloof person with need of having maximum 1 friend.Suddenly I became over social.

when I took nat mur, old habits like, being happy with myself, way of dressing, though process etc became same as it was before i started homeopathy or precisely i took pulsatilla.

Besides this after pulsatila I behaved like a little girl, afraid of people around me.

May I know major difference between silica and nat mur

Hello,
I am still on same dose of nat mur and in a good state.

'Direction of Cure is the single most important guide for us in making sure patients are actually being cured, and that we are not instead harming them as many other therapies do. '

Could you please share some template, which I can fill to make you aware of my present condition and take advice from you for my betterment.
