High Eosinophil Count
I have been suffering form allergic bronchitis for over 25 years. I am regular user of inhaler. I frequently get lung infection due to which I am put on antibiotics. The blood test always reveals increase in Eosinophil count above the permissible limit. I wanted to know whether there is any homeopathic medicine for reducing Eosinophil count.manpur on 2005-11-27

The esophinal count is the body´s natural reaction to inflammation.
To quote the Oxford Textbook of Medicine "The pathology of Asthma is characterised by the infiltration of the airways by esinophils and other inflammatory cells which migrate in response to chemotactic factors released by mast cells macrophages and lymphocytes.
Esinophils contain a substance, which damages the airway and is responsible for the large amorphous pink masses in the muscous and submucosa seen in patients who have died of Asthma." So inflammation is a characteristic of Asthma, which accounts for the widespread use - in the past - of steroids in their anti-inflammatory role.
Let us for a moment look at the reason for,and function of, inflammation in disease of all kinds. I quote a medical dictionary
"Inflammation is the defensive reaction of tissue that has been attacked and is the start of the natural process of healing. Inflammation is instigated by the immune system and is essential to the proper natural bodily process of healing. - It involves pain, heat,redness, swelling and loss of function of the affected part. Blood vessels are dilated so that the local blood flow is increased. White cells enter the tissue to engulf bacteria and foreign particles. Similar cells from the tissues remove and consume dead cells and the process of healing commences."
Antibiotics suppress inflammation and thus reduce the esophinal count -- but-- antibiotics do NOT cure the conditionproblem .
Thus after an interval the inflammation will reappear and the esophinal count will increase.
As you are on steroid treatment it is doubtful if any homeopathic remedy will be effective.
Only closely supervised constitutional treatment - might- work.

Thanks for your detailed explaination. I am also on homeopatic treatment(I do not know the medicine). I used to take seroflo-200 inhaler twice daily which I reduced to seroflo-100 twice daily. But the moment I try to reduce it further the problem of weezing recurs. Will I have to live with this inhaler or there is hope cure through homeopathy.

FOR your "High Eosinophil Count", I suggest you to take Aconite-30c. one drop "LIQUID" directly on your tongue, the moment you get or anticipate sensation of a wheeze or a Asthma attack. Take this every 5th minute, till the current symptoms subside.
DO NOT TAKE Aconite-30c "PILLS", for the above problem. This won't help you.
ALONGWITH ABOVE, "compulsorily" take Calendula-Q (mother tincture) 3-5 drops liquid directly on the rear section of the tongue, every 4th hour. No water or anything after this for the next 20 minutes.
Do this for atleast 15 days, to experience satisfactory results. AND continue till you experience your old symptoms. Do a "Eosinophil Count", after 15 days and lets all know whether the above treatment helps in dropping the Eosinophil count.
ABOVE will work even when you are on steroids / inhalers. You can / may reduce your steroid laced inhalers after a few weeks, when you notice decline of FREQUENCY in your wheezing attacks. Try to discontinue any homeopathic medicines, when on above regime. If your Luck permits you, you may find that you may not need any Homeopathic "constitutional" treatment for your "Eosinophil" or for your 25 years old "Asthma".

hi...i am suffering from urticaria (allergy). It started last year. I didn't had any health problem prior to this. I dont know the exact cause of this but suspecting it to be from insect bite. Two days back i had taken AEC test and the eosinophil count was high. how to reduce the count. I am also taking homeopathic treatment for this. Currently i am using Urtica Urnes-200 thrice daily. The severity has reduced. How to decrease my eosinophil count?? Suggest me some homeopathic medicine for this. Thanks and Regards, Anuradha
