Please help my 3 months old boy
Dear doctors:I've already posted here yesterday, but didn't get any replies.
My 3 months old son was diagnosed with GERD by a pediatrician. She prescribed him Zantac. I don't wanna use it and really want to try to treat his problem naturally.
His symptoms are:
-crying and fighting during and after feedings, moving his legs up and down, arching his back, turns and tosses while at the breast,
-extreme fussiness during the day, he looks like he's in pain
-wants to be held all day long
-very short and rare naps during the day, 15 min even though he looks very tired
-crying when lying on his back or lying by himself
-wants freaking feedings, like every hour
-puts fingers in his mouse all the time
He's exclusively on breastfeeding, and pooping 2-3 times a day. My boy is 3 months and one week, 60cm and 6700kg.
What do you think will work for my baby boy?
Thank you very much for any help!

First af all, thank you for your reply!
Here is the answers on all your questions:
1. 3.5 months, 6800kg, 61cm
2. Medium
3. He's very active, moves his arms, feet, head, smiles, 'talks', likes to swim, likes to look at books with me, likes music, enjoys light massage, likes to observe people a lot, likes to be outside. Most often,he is in a very good mood in the first part of the day
4. He cries, gets red, sometimes screams, closes his eyes, doesn't want to look at me or anybody else, seems to be in his own world for a moment, rubbing his eyes, appears to be in pain.
5. Right after feeding, or durung feeding, he starts crying and gets red. He is moving his legs and arms up and down, often fights with his arms. He's arching his back. He also turns and tosses a lot and stops a few time during feeding to cry or to fight. He appears to be in pain. He feels better when I hold him and we move/walk together and see what's going in around.
He's also very fussy during the day, doesn't sleep at all, has a few short 15-20 min naps during the day, he looks tired and sad. He puts fingers in his mouse all the time, wants to be held all the time and often cries when is lying on his back
6. He has regular stools, 2-3 times a day, sometimes one at night. It's all of different colours- yellow, dark yellow, light brown, green. He's exclusively on breasfeeding. He feels better after he poops.
7. He has gas, but not really often. I can hear him gassing may be once-twice a day
8. He wants to feed all the time, during the day it's usually every 1.5-2 hours. A little bit better at night, every 2-3 hours. Sometimes he can sleep for 4 hours without feeding at night, but not really often
9. I don't think he's teething yet, he's just 3.5 months. However, he has lots of saliva coming out and his fingers are always in his mouse. So may be.. Sorry I'm not sure
10. He's only sweating on his feet. No smell, it's not a lot, but not a little. Sometimes his cotton blanket a little bit wet in the area where his feet are

Your remedy is: Chamomila 30c.
HOW TO TAKE THE REMEDY:
Please take two doses 12 hrs apart. Just two doses. Not daily.
Report back in 2 days with changes observed.
WHAT IS A DOSE FOR CHILDREN:
One dose is made by dissolving one pill of the remedy (or one drop, if you have liquid remedy) in half a glass of cooled, boiled water. Stir it and take one tea spoon from it.
TIME OF DOSE:
First dose: At night before sleeping.
Second dose: 12 hrs after the first dose.
Dont take any more dose or any other remedy unless I tell you.
PRECAUTIONS:
If there is worsening of symptoms (called homeopathic aggravation) after the first dose, then dont take the second dose.
Dont take any other homeopathic remedy during this treatment.
Give a break of at least 10 minutes before eating/drinking anything before or after taking the remedy.
During the treatment, dont eat anything which you have never had all your life.
HOMEOPATHIC AGGRAVATION
Sometimes the symptoms for which treatment is being done can worsen after taking the homeopathic remedy. This is homeopathic aggravation and a good sign. It usually dies down within 24-48 hrs. During this time you can use any non-medicinal means to keep yourself comfortable. If the aggravation seems excessive, you can use any & all means necessary (including taking allopathic medicines) to keep yourself comfortable. Keep your homeopath fully updated if this happens.
HOW TO GIVE FEEDBACK:
A good example of how to report your progress is by giving %age improvement for all your health problems e.g.
Headache: 30% better
Low energy level: 50% better
Anxiety: 40% better
Sadness: No change
Depression: Worse
And so on list all your complaints.
MOTHERS DIET
If your child is breastfed then what you eat will have a huge effect on your babys health. If you eat foods which cause gas (e.g. cabbage, beans, cauliflower etc) then your baby will have gas too. Cut back on the foods which cause gas in you or your husband (because your baby may have acquired the genetic tendency of your husband to have gas & bloatedness). Eating a few fennel seeds will address infrequent gas & bloatedness, eating it in excess will cause constipation.
THE NAT-PHOS MISINFORMATION
Homeopathy works on individualization i.e. the remedy for GERD which will work on one child may not work on another. There are several remedies for GERD. A particular person is promoting Nat-Phos as THE remedy for curing GERD by selectively quoting parents benefiting from his Nat-Phos protocol. This is not only incorrect but totally against the principles of individualization in homeopathy. I am sure desperate parents would do anything to get the cure but blindly going for Nat-Phos is not the route as many have found the hard way. Its a case of common sense & statistics. If you give Nat-Phos to 100 kids for GERD, some are bound to improve, it doesnt mean that its THE remedy for GERD. Next time someone touts Nat-Phos as the remedy for GERD ask him the statistics first.
GENERAL INFO ABOUT HOMEOPATHIC PRESCRIBING:
If someone is giving several remedies, without waiting to see the effect of one remedy, then it is totally against the core principles of homeopathy. Such an approach is unlikely to give permanent cure, rather it may distort actual symptoms making subsequent cure even more difficult.
