Are you able to practice as a lay person (non-doctor)where you live? It seems like most of the colleges are medical ones in West Bengal.

There are a lot of online education programs for homoeopathy, some of which can even give you a valid qualification. I am not sure if you would be able to practice where you are with such a qualification though. Perhaps Simone might know more about this?

It seems you don't want to be in private practice in India bc
you have to have A BHMS or DHMS to do that. Although there seems
to be some controversy going on about a new regulation proposed
by the Indian Government that the BHMS students can go without
an examination. See below:

This is in response to the office memorandum vide No – F. No. R – 13040/59/2009-HD (Tech) (Part) dated 22.09.2014 towards the Amendment in Homoeopathy (Degree Course) Regulations.
The subjects Organon of Medicine & Homoeopathic Materia Medica having utmost importance for building basic foundation of Homoeopathic system of Medicine. But , unfortunately in the proposed syllabus it is supposed to be amended (under clause V on page no. 2 and page 14 & 23 ) in the tune,- “ There shall be no examination in I-B.H.M.S.” ,which is quite detrimental and injurious for the fate of the course itself and Homoeopathy as well.
Since inception of the CCH Act , examination of both subjects proposed and ratified by the then stalwarts of Homoeopathic fraternity of our country and examination of both subjects have been conducted in 1st BHMS since its beginning presenting famous Homoeopaths for all time. It will be an injustice to the students as well as to the profession by studying in classes without holding examination Organon of Medicine & Homoeopathic Materia Medica from 1st BHMS university examination. Syllabus for examination may be minimized for 1st B.H.M.S but examination is to be held on that part is mandatory, otherwise the effort rendered by experienced teachers and time consumed by the students will amounting nothing in future.
So, the above mentioned clauses as ‘There shall be no examination in I-B.H.M.S ‘[ vide clause V on page no. 2 and page 14 & 23 ] should be removed and the proposed amendment needs to be rectified in the interest of students.

Here are two well known schools online and video where you can learn at your own pace and get a
certification but you cannot legally practice in India bc it is not BHMS or DHMS but you could
practice in other countries with these.

From what I understand on BHMS in India, this is a
hands on, real time study, from accredited institutions only.
You cannot do it online.

But currently it seems this regulation is going on, where
you can do the work in school and then not have an
examination- just complete the work.

If you want to get a degree from Robin Murphy or
Vithoulkas online, you could practice online or in other
countries but not legally have a practice in India.
Each country is different, you could practice with above
degrees in the USA, UK, etc. In Italy for instance, you
cannot practice unless you are an MD first and then go
get the homeopathic education.
