Aadeniod hypertrophy

We have visited ENT surgeon for my son, 11 yrs old for his recurring cold and breathing problems. He has prescribed Asthafen half tablet before bed time for 15 days. From second day his sneezes are completely stopped. Doc has also asked for a x-ray. Here is the report

well defined, homegenous soft tiussue density noted in the postero-superior aspect of nasopharynx

normal tracheal air lucency noted

visualised cervical spine is normal

adeniod hypertrophy noted
-----------------------------Doc has suggested a surgery. Is it possible to get back to normal without surgery?

Please suggest a remedy
