red swollen eyelid in 4-year old son

Dear doctors and homeopathy practitioners,

My son, 4 years old, healthy boy, woke up 2 days ago with a very swollen and red (pink almost) upper eyelid (left eye). It covers half of his eye. Hurts if touched only. The eye white is unchanged - is white. There is no mucous or no liquid whatsoever coming out of the eye. His vision is not obstructed. Yesterday I noticed a small lump (the size of a pea) under the upper eyelid, but this morning the eye is so swollen it looks like a one big reddish/pinkish lump.

Anytime he contracts a virus, he develops a croupy cough, this is his only so to say 'chronic' thing. He usually gets well really fast (usually within hours). I treat him with Aconitum Napellus, Hepar Sulphuris and Spongia when he develops cough.

Other than that, the boy is vegetarian since his birth, never vaccinated, never received antibiotics, medium built, very sporty and agile, occasionally stubborn, but very independent and bright in his character.

Please advice on treating the lump under his upper eyelid.

Grateful for all the answers!

Thank you very much R.P.Tamhankar!

Yesterday I took my son to his paediatrician, who said this lump is an underneath sty. Does the treatment stay the same (SULPHUR 30 & CALI CARB 200)?

Thank you again!

Dear R.P.Tamhankar,

Sorry for late reply, I was away from the computer for a few days.

I started treatment as you suggested with Pulsatilla and Staphisagria on December 1st, and after 4 days the swollen part disappeared completely, very little discharge came out of the boy's eye, and the lump under his eyelid started to become smaller. On December 8th I gave him remedies and then I stopped.

When he looks down, I can still notice a very small lump (like a small pea) under his eyelid.

Shall I wait until it disappears or would you recommend to continue or change remedies?

Thank you for your precious advice.
Kind regards,

Vitjana
