Kitten diagnosed with megacolon

My friend is fostering a rescue kitten. The kitten has a very sanguine nature and her difficult health has not changed this. The kitten has cameo (light pinky-red) hair, big bright eyes.

The kitten had been eating wood chips which had blocked her bowel. She has had 3 manual evacuations to help clear the bowel, and has been given lactulose. Initially the vet said diverticulitis, now saying megacolon. The kitten is constipated and stool builds up in her bowel until her bottom starts to protrude.

Would phosphorus 30c suit? If so how many doses how often?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I have just been reading about a cat who was cured from this condition with phosphorus and then one dose of silica when it was noticed the cat had a 'shy stool'.

Please give her Lachesis 30 twice a day for 3 days and see how that affects over a week. You may give Phos 30 and Sil 30 one by one in the same way on need.

Thank you, yes I have lachesis 30 and will pass this on to kitten's caregiver with instructions to dose starting tomorrow.

Thank you for your help Kadwaji.

I have spoken with the kitten's caregiver, and she has a new foster home with a lady whose husband is vet who is happy to work in with holistic healthcare.

As far as she could notice lachesis 30 didn't seem to have much affect on the kitten's bowel constipation. The kitten had an x-ray by the new vet and he doesn't seem to think it is megacolon. The kitten has been having neurolink treatments because they think she has a nervous system issue where the brain is not connecting through to the bowel properly.

Is there any remedy that could work for this type of condition?
