Help with Candida?

Hi! I have a itchy rash on both of my hands. It gets worse when I eat lots of sugar and carbs and lessons when my diet is clean. I have had the rash for about 6 months. I got it after having completed a course of steroids due to poison ivy.

My other symptoms: I have sugar and carb cravings. I am not sleeping well. I am cloudy-headed, absent minded. Irritable. Sad.
My hands are alternately wettish and red where the rash is, or dry, scaly, and cracking. I feel a little bloated. In the past my ears and the inside of my mouth were itchy. That is not happening now. My doctor prescribed oral nystatin--which seemed to help those issues, but not my hands as it was loaded with sugar. Right now I am taking Candida Support, Friendly Force Probiotics, and NAC. thank you!

You can try RHUS TOX 30C once every 4 hours for two days maximum. If you observe any changes after a few doses, don't take the rest of the doses. Just wait for your condition to stabilize.

I appreciate your reply so much! I am not at all knowledgeable in these matters. Back in June I got a terrible case of Poison Ivy. The doctor gave me steroids (twice) but I couldn't kick it. Finally I tried Oral Ivy (Rhus Tox). I took this for quite a while--went through 1 entire bottle and just the smallest bit of a second. My poison ivy went away, but I was left with the rash (candida?) I am just guessing that is what it is. If I recall correctly the rash and the poison ivy were concurrent (the poison ivy was all over my body). But I could be wrong and the rash could have developed only after I started taking the oral ivy. It started under my wedding ring, then spread to the other fingers of my left hand, then jumped over to my right. I have Oral Ivy right now--should I take that? Did I just not take it long enough? thank you--thank you for your time! :))))

No, you need to buy RHUS TOX in 30C potency from a homeopathic shop.

In homeopathy, it is believed that, if symptoms match, higher potencies can help cure long term bad effects of toxic substances. Thus, higher potency of RHUS TOX should clear all your problems due to Poison Ivy.

Come back to share your notes after a week.

ok--I will do so. So you think that the rash on my hands is some outgrowth/lingering effect from my poison ivy rather than candida? It looks/feels different than poison ivy--and is itchy but in a very different way. Could this rash have developed b/c of taking the Rhus Tox?
thank you, thank you!

marisatingle 9 years ago
Well, at the moment I can't say what actually caused the rash. I wanted to eliminate the possibility that the rash could be an after effect of Ivy poisoning. If you don't get any relief using Rhus Tox, I will take your full case and suggest a remedy based on your totality of symptoms. It is curable for sure.

Thank you! that makes perfect sense. OK--I went out and bought the Rhus Tox yesterday and took the first dose in the afternoon. I took another dose in the evening. and another dose this morning. By every 4 hours is it important that I also take it throughout the night? I did not do that last night--but I can do so tonight if necessary. Right now my hands are not really itching so much tingling (different feelings--like something is happening). thank you so much--I so appreciate your expertise. You have given me hope! :))))))))))) I will continue taking the Rhus Tox until tomorrow afternoon and then let you know how things stand. If there is no relief then I would definitely like for you to take on my full case. thank you!!!!!!

Hello,
Last night I noticed that my hands were better but I forgot that you had recommended observing any changes after a few doses, then stop. I don't know how I did that-- I think I was thinking that I needed to continue for 48 hours. So I woke up and my hands were worse--very itchy and wet-ish/red. I took a dose in the morning, and then another dose at noon. right now they are dryer/less red but tingling like when I first started taking the RHUS TOX. I have a slight rash on my face now--kinda itchy. I forgot to mention that I am pretty sensitive to poison ivy. thank you for all your guidance! Marisa

Please stop all dosing for some days. Let your condition stabilize and then share notes with me after a week. I feel RHUS TOX has produced a response and you shouldn't disturb the curing process.

We will decide on the dosing pattern after a week based on your condition.

I will do so. Thank you so much. I am very appreciative of your help.

Hello Rishimba,
It has taken nearly the whole week for my condition to stabilize. It got a little worse towards the middle of the week (skin splitting/bleeding). The rash spread to my palms and was "weeping" a little. Now it is a little better. The rash on my face went away around Thursday. It seems like my hands are drying out a little? which is nice, but it gets too dry/cracky so I put some vitamin E on the dry spaces yesterday which helped. It is feeling less inflamed this morning, but there is still a visible rash, cracked skin, very dry patches. thank you! Marisa

Good to know you are doing better.

If you think RHUS TOX has helped, you may take a sustained dosage for a week, once a day.

Let me know after a week. In case the condition worsens, stop dosing and wait for your condition to stabilize.

thank you! yes, i feel as if the rash may be going away finally. I can hardly believe it. I will follow your directions and take RHUS TOX for 1 week, once a day. On the bottle it says "Dissolve 4 tablets under tongue 4 times a day" but I will dissolve 4 tablets under tongue just 1 time a day. No need to respond if I understood correctly. I will contact you again in 1 week and update you. grateful for you and your expertise. Marisa

Hi! I have been taking the sustained doe for 1 week as suggested. It is really looking/ feeling better. Last Thursday in the morning my face had a little bit of a rash, so I waited to take my dose until later in the day, and it was fine. Yesterday my face felt a little itchy, but no rash, but my hands were much better.
Last night my hand were itchy again, but I was stressed out b/c a noise kept waking me up and maybe that triggered it. I think I am really getting better!!

Hello,
Just wanted to post an update. My face has developed a mild rash again this evening and is a little itchy/burning a little bit. My hands are much better. The rash looks much better, but they do itch.
thank you!

marisatingle 9 years ago
You can take some 6 doses of RHUS TOX 30C maximum, once every 8 hours.

The above is the maximum you should have. In case you observe relief earlier, stop the rest of the doses.

Thank you! I am confused though. My hands are getting better I think, slowly but surely, but it is hard to say for certain because they flare up now and again. But the rash on my face is new, and definitely seems to be related to the RHUS TOX. I just feel sort of a generalized itchiness all day and my cheeks get really red and dry. Should I reduce my dose from 4 pills once a day in order to reduce the rash on my face? Or might that negatively affect the positive changes I am witnessing with my hands? I am hesitant to increase my dose at all as my face (and hands) are both already itchy. Thank you in advance for your thoughts and all you have done to help so far.

Since you are not sure if your new symptoms were due to Rhus Tox, please stop all dosing, wait and watch.

If your overall itching and rashes tend to reduce, don't take any remedy.

If they remain the same even after a week, try taking a sustained dosage of 30C potency for some days.

If the symptoms increase on stopping the remedy in the next one week, go for the next higher potency and take a single dose of 200C.

Let me know after a week.

thank you very much! I will do so.

Hello! It has only been 2 days and the symptoms are worse. The rash is redder, spreading, and weeping (wet.) My fingers/joints are swollen to the point where the skin is splitting. I went ahead and ordered the 200C Rhus Tox. Can I take it when it gets here or do I need to wait a full week? (The rash on my face has disapeared.) Also, once I can start to take it, am I to take a single does of 200C every day until I observe some relief? thank you for your guidance!

marisatingle 9 years ago
Yes, you can take 200C potency once a day for three continuous days. Its always better to wait and see its response after dosing for 48 hours.

Once you see, the potency has produced a favorable response, you can repeat the dose as an when its effect wears off.

For skin related symptoms one should be even more careful against aggravation.

Great--thank you!

Hello Rishimba,
I followed your advice and took the 200C potency once a day for three continuous days, then stopped taking for 48 hours. I feel like the rash on my hands is getting better. It appears to be drying/diminishing, but my face is a little itchy. While taking the 200C doses for 3 days I developed a small rash on my cheeks. The rash is now gone, but my face still feel irritated. My question is, should I go ahead and repeat the 200C dose for 3 days again starting tomorrow, or wait until my face doesn't feel aggravated?
thank you so much!

I feel you should wait for some days.

I hope the rash on your hands will continue to get better in the next few days. As long as the healing continues, don't disturb the process with another dose.

Only when it stops healing / enters a plateau or gets worse, take the doses again.

Please note how long the potency holds. Once you know the period this potency holds, a sustained dose may be taken keeping the same gap between doses.
