Kitty jealous of her step-brother... aggresive

Hi,

My kitty is about 5 or 6 and was rescued in 2002 after a hard life

Elderlu woman w/ about 50 cats died... cats had poor care w/ her then were moved to my neighborhood by sister who inherited cats... I'm a sucker for kitties and got involved.

Began feeding 10.01 at the sisters home ( a neighbor) and then when I encountered Button...

She is a charmer and made up to any human who came near her... she had a favorite sister who she allowed in the yard and the pet igloss w/ her but the other kitties had to live in other yards!

She was especially jealous of a beautiful siamese who she would scream and cry at whenever I arrived to feed and water them.

I gave shots (MISTAKE I KNOW NOW) to all of them, had them trated for earmites and brought them to my yard to find homes for them.

Ended up keeping Button and one of her sisters, Pippy.

Before they came into my home I noticed she made Pippy leave the yeard every morning and allowed her home around 7pm.

In the garage at night I finally noticed she would become very angry when her sister played w/ me and attack her!

Well you can guess the dilema...

When i brought them in the house my existing kitty, Felicity, chased her around and since he was so big and she so little we would scold him... he stopped chasing her and she since then has been just as she was towards Pippy when they were outside and the siamese when they hwere at the nweighbors BOSSY AND JEALOUS...

It was so awful I put her on Amitryptaline in 2002 for 6 months... it helped alot and all was well

At the end of 08.05 Felcity was diagnosed w/ cancer and the jealousy returned...

SHe screams at him when she is hungry, waiting, and very much wants to sleep in his bed at night...

SHe has been on raw diet since 08.05... in 09.05 she had upper respiratory infection and Dr. had her on Clavamox.. she cleared up and had had a supplement called Mega C for most of the past months - over the weekend she had sneezing and dired green gunk in her eyes - I gave her lots of attention and heating pad... she seems fine today...

She has great energy, especially pretty fur when on a particular raw diet (which I returned two weeks ago after a month on another brand) -

She loves all human attention and follows me around like a puppy... she's spunky and loads of fun...

But she is jealous of her brother and that is sad for him... you can see where the term copycat came from - she does whatever he does and forces herself to like it.
She watches him and wants to do eerything and be everything he does and is - and she it first!

When she first came to me she could not stand to be touched, held or petted byt she loved me and all humans

She could not stand to be covered in blankets.

NOw she lokes to be covered but will then get out (sometimes after a long period of time.

If you try to pick her up, toucch her, move her while she is sleeping she gets super scared and will scratch, cry, growl, attack.

SHe now loves to be petted... mostly on cheekes and head but not to crazy about lots of body pets... and HATES to be combed.

The earmite she had in 02 were never cleared up by the awful vet we had but this vet used Tresaderm in 10.05 and her ears are beautifil.

We have used Bach flowers, Holly since 08.05 (homeopath for Felcity advised) but they seem not to be working now.

We need a remedy, her brother seems to be in remission but whe Button fusses w/ him it makes him sad and nervous...

Sorry for the long post... Dear namaste helped my Pippy and this issue is just so difficult...

Thanks for any help,

Ann, Felcity, Button, and Pippy too!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Lachesis-They strike out like a snake and are worse after sleeping. Jealous, suspicious and worse from collars or anything around their neck. If this fits, 200C strength is given once weekly or every other week. If no improvement after 3 doses, switch remedies.

Nux Vomica-They tend to act hungover and may have been heavily medicated. Females that act more like males or tomboys. Or boy cats that push other cats around. Bossy, pushy, first in line for food or attention. Tend to be constipated or strain a lot to defecate. They also love to fight and look for a fight. Greedy. Worse from noise, light, cold. If this fits, begin with 30C strength, and dose once daily for 6-8 weeks. Report back.

Thanks Namaste for the reply...

Question: BOth remedies seem almost right...Nux vomica right except: never problems w/ bowel movements or vomiting; but did have a UTI about 2 months ago whih led to strain. while urinating. Also, she does not seem hung over - has tons of energy - is for the most part alaways in line always first in line for anything...

So if the straining part of Nux must be related to BM or vomting should I go w/ Lachesis?

Lachesis seems almost right: except part about collar we/ve never had one so I don't know about neck but I can say that it took time for me to be able to handle her and for her to enjoy it...

Might I harm her if I'm wrong? I will be home to monitor reaction of chosen remedy...

When you have a moment could you just illuminate the options for me?

Happiest of Holidays to you and yours!!!!

Lachesis likes the cold. Nux does not.
