What have you tried for your Ichthyosis Vulgaris?

In January this year, I went to Japan to teach and it started a new bout with my ichthyosis. The winter made my skin drier and flakier. For those who are not familiar, when you have this skin condition, skin cells are building up and the skin starts to resemble fish scales.

It embarrassed me to see flakes in my shoulders especially when wearing black outfits. It was a struggle. I thought I have learned to live with it.

I asked a friend to pick a cream from the pharma - something that could at least lubricate the flakes so it'd stop falling. he gave me something from his drawer - SR Lotion - he said he ordered it online for her mom who has the same condition as mine. I liked it. It's great in managing the scaly part of the skin. I am truly grateful he introduced SR Lotion to me.

I'd like to share it with everyone here. I know it's available online. You can search for it. It's the best lubricating cream I've ever had for my Ichthyosis.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I think your case can benefit from constitutional treatment, long term approach, no quick fix.

That's what I'm thinking too. It recurs but at least, I'm managing it well with SR Lotion. My cousin who has the same case proves this is genetic and it can happen to anyone in this family too.
