Dog Degenerative Bone Disease

Too Kadwa

My Rat Terrier/Chiwawa developed degenerative bone disease about 18 months ago. The vet finally found that Predisone helps a bit. She can hardly walk and when she does she walks on the first joint of her front legs and her back legs on essentially her knees. I have attempted the following remedies: Colocynthsis 200-4 drops am, Aug Med 200 4drops am & pm, Rhos Tox 200 4drops pm. No real change in her mobility but the disea I have recently tried cell salts: Cal Flour, Mag Phos, Sileca, and Kali Phos not much different results than the homeopathic remedies(I think I am giving her too many salts so I quit today) Her mental state is great. She is alert and as active as she can be. She is nervous as a Chawawa is.She is eating well & bowel movement okay.

I was referred to you in hopes you might be able to guide us as to what to do.

Please give her silicea 30 twice a day for 5 days and see how that affects over 10 days.

2 pills. Actually dose size is not something hard and fast in homeopathy. So that may be more or less. But dosing pattern should be followed as advised.

It has been 10 days for my dog. I really haven't seen any change but to be realistic this disease has progressed so far that I don't really expect her to ever walk as she is supposed to. Her mental state is good as it was before the Sileca So I am not sure what type of signs to look for. I should maybe just hope to keep her as comfortable as possible. Her front legs are in the shape of an "L" and her support is on the joint above her paws. Her back legs are about the same with her support being on the joint at midway up the hind leg. She takes the Predisone daily to help with any pain. I was giving her 4 pills/day of Colocynthis 200C to assist with the pain also was giving her 200C Rhos Tox 4 pills 1/day for mobility. What are your suggestions please

I just finished up her 7 days of Causticum. No adverse symptoms Her front feet are in bad shape. Her paws are pointing almost at right angles to her body. Not sure how much longer her legs can support her by walking on the joints. I don't expect her to regain use of her feet has been too long and damage is done. She is in good spirits eating good and alert. She is holding up her left leg some which she hasn't been doing so i think she is experiencing some discomfort-watching very close as I don't want her in pain I won't allow it.

do have any more remedies in mind? The patient is not near
any stores that have remedies,
and it would help his budget if
he could place an order and
save money on shipping costs-
which are high here, and ridiculous for a little vial of pills.

CJS- this is called Circuta Virosa, You could wait for Kadwa's answer as you already
have to order Gelsemium.
