3 1/2 week old infant with reflux - nat phos 6x???

Hello, I have a newborn and we just started working with our pediatrician to determine what is going on. She suspects GERD and/or tracheomalacia. We are still waiting for the tests to be scheduled and an apt with an ENT specialist, but in the mean time she has prescribed my son Zantac for the reflux. I asked if it were necessary and she mentioned that he could be having silent reflux too and it could be causing the stridor he makes when breathing and feeding in addition to the spitting up and gas. So she wants to rule out everything.

I did start him on the Zantac a few days ago against my gut feeling, and I think it's making things worse :( he has become fussier, appears to be in horrible pain when passing gas and now fusses before spitting up, which he didn't do before. I am stopping the Zantac since it hasn't helped and I think gave him bad diarrhea for a few days and now starting to constipate him a bit.

I bought some nat phos 6x, the hylands brand tablets and some probiotics. During my delivery I was given antibiotics for a possitive gbs test and wonder if all the antibiotics made it worse. My daughter had reflux when she was born but never needed anything for it...he however seems worse. So I am wondering if the antibiotics wiped all the good bacteria out making it worse for him?

So now my question... I have seen a few different posts regarding dosages and not sure what to use for him? Is it the 3 times a day then slowly taper off or after each feeding for 24 hours then taper off? He is breastfed only now but had some formula last week to help with his breastmilk jaundice.
I appreciate the help!! Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give him a pill or drop of Nux Vomica 30 with milk twice a day for 3 days and see how that affects. If this doesn't help give Pulsatilla 30 in the same way.

I haven't tried the nat phos 6x yet so should I use that too?

Hi,

Kadwa is not on here everyday.

You try one remedy at a time.

Nat Phos 6x is a cell salt, and it is known to
reduce acidic conditions. Cell salts are a sub
system of homeopathy and they work on the cell
level to rebalance. Nat phos 6x was promoted a lot
by one person, which is why you see so much come
up about it.

In homeopathy, remedies are prescribed on individual
symptoms. Nat Phos 6x was suggested as a "one size
fits all" allopathic type prescription , like take
tums for indigestion.

Try what Kadwa suggested, if you are in USA just
get the pills at Whole Foods or a health store
and dissolve a pill into a tablespoon or two of milk,
and then use a dropper or spoon to give it.

The probiotics are a good idea-I assume you are getting infant or children probiotics and
cutting the dose down due to the age-I would do
one dose a day and watch to see if there is bloating
and more gas, bc every person reacts different
to the brands, and if that happens you need to
switch products.

So he has had 3 days worth of the nux vomica 30 (twice a day) and it seems to have helped some. When a dose is due he tends to spitup uncomfortably, but in between doses he still spits up some but doesn't appear to be as uncomfortable. He still has a bunch of gas, but I think most of that has to do with him swallowing too much air while feeding. Bicycle kicks have seemed to be helping a great deal. I have t started the probiotics yet since mentioned only doing one treatment at a time. How should I continue?

Please repeat Nux Vomica 30. If it doesn't help much, give Pulsatilla 30 in the same way.
