The ABC Homeopathy Forum

8 year old woke up with hives

Hi there,
My son woke up with mosquito bit looking things on his face and arms but he had one larger hive on his forehead. I went to a homeopath today and she prescribed the following: 2 pellets APIs 200c tonight and natrum Mir 6x tissue pellets 2 pellets morning and night. He has already has a dose of APIs 200c and a natrum Mir... I don't really see difference? I try to connect with her to ask what I should expect with these remedies but I probably won't hear from her next week... Can someone let me know what j should expect ... When will the it unless go down? And the swelling go down? Thx

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Did she take the whole case? Apis won't work unless the whole case calls for Apis. It is hard to miss Apis when you see it - restless, agitated, irritated, hurried, snappish, wanting everything their way.

Try to avoid following any instructions telling you to take a second remedy without assessing the reaction of the first. 'Tissue salts' are actually medicines in the same realm as our own, so there can be interactions. In fact, following Apis with Nat-mur could cancel out any positive effect of the Apis.

Why doesn't your homoeopath trust her first prescription enough to wait? That is what I would be wondering.

She also should not be giving dry doses. There are a few mistakes I can see with her prescribing method - it will lower the quality of the results.

Yes she took the whole case. Hmmm not sure why she prescribed two things ... Then she also gave me another remedy to take for tomorrow. I think j will just give him Benedryl.

The other one she gave me to hold on to until
Tomorrow is anac 200c ?? What's this for?

Is this person a naturopath?

Or just does homeopathy-?

I would not use her anymore-
as she overdosed your other child and her prescriptions are
very odd.

Yes, she labels her self as doing classical homeopathy... She has a walk in clinic so j decided to take my son there as opposed to a regular clinic ... What do you think she should have given?

I can't say what to give unless I knew the details.

The 200c can last for 2 weeks. She is not
doing one remedy at a time in the minimum dose,
which is correct homeopathic prescribing.

I would use the Benedryl for now.

Hi- I am giving you a nurse homeopath who has
over 25 years of experience and is also a
homeopathic teacher for nurses. She will do
cases by phone for acute things, for $50 plus
free follow ups.

This is great for kids and if you need an answer
you can trust quickly. She is in New Mexico,
the best way to contact her is by phone. I know
you are in Canada, but you can look up international calling numbers, and buy a number
for Around $5 to $10 and then have 60 minutes
or 120 minutes free calling for the country
you choose to call- I have told quite a few
people about her and they are very pleased with
her manner, and results of her prescribing.

She's not doing classical homoeopathy. What she is doing is hedging her bets, because she doesn't actually know what your child needs. As an experienced homoeopath you can see the kinds of behaviours which reveal a lack of confidence and/or training.

Isn't this the same homoeopath that gave your other child weekly doses of Medorrhinum 1M? Her prescriptions do seem a bit careless. I have to wonder how well she has been trained.

I can take this case or the case of your other child (or both) if you want. We do free work here, and I am a qualified homoeopath.

Ok, how long have you been homeopath for? Also can we connect via a phone? She has all three of us on a remedy. I have irregular periods (spotting bleeding ...) do you have experience working with this and cysts?

I finished my training in 1995 and I have worked continuously as a homoeopath since then. I have treated hundreds of different kinds of pathologies and problems - cysts, menstrual difficulties amongst them.

Phone is very difficult when I live overseas. I work for free primarily through this forum.
